Fabric Christmas

I am still going strong on hand crafting ornaments. I'm my own little factory. Fabric Christmas is going strong! My most current designs have been for the upcoming Halloween holiday. I've been creating and debuting Halloween themed ornaments that really make Halloween trees pop with extra color! You know the best part about all of it? I'm loving what I do. It's fun for me to sit there and create these little works of art. I love designing each one and picking the patterns and colors, choosing which ribbons go with what. It's been fun. I only wish I could produce more. They each take time to create. I  have all of these ideas and designs in my head but my fingers can't work fast enough.

Last week I had a bulk order. I had nine ornaments that needed to get shipped out the day after labor day. I didn't leave my house for two days. All I did was create those ornaments. Luckily, 5 out of the 9 were ones that I had already been made or I wouldn't have been able to mail the box out. I mean a girl has to eat! I had things that needed to be done and by the end of the night my little fingers were feeling stiff.

Take a look at a few of the latest ornaments I've created...

I've opened up my ornaments to custom orders so if you see something that you'd like let me know. The holidays are getting closer and closer and if you see something you'd like to buy or have made don't wait! I'd also love it if you'd come follow me on instagram and facebook! I post regularly on both social media sites and mention upcoming ornaments and designs. You can even go through every ornament I've ever made in the photo gallery.

Thanks for all of your support!

It's A Fabric Christmas

You guys... I am SO excited to share this news with you! If you've been reading this blog for awhile then you already know that I am a huge lover of all things Christmas. Well I've taken my love of Christmas one step further. I've started making unique fabric ornaments! Yes that's right! I'm making Christmas ornaments in April! Technically I started making them in March but I wanted to get several under my belt before I shared them with all of you.

Each ornament takes hours to make. Depending on the elaborateness of the design and fabric choices it can take awhile to complete each one. It has be perfect to hang on any tree. Making each ornament is a labor of love and I know that I'm creating something that people will hang on their trees and use as decorations for years to come. I can remember hanging ornaments on my moms Christmas tree when I was a kid that we still hang on the tree decades later. These ornaments become memories and fun items to see year after year when you open the boxes and see them again after having them put away for months.

These ornaments are hand made and no two are exactly alike. Since there's so many fabrics out there the possibilities are endless. Even when using the same fabric the way they are made by hand doesn't necessarily mean they'll look exactly the same. So if you see an ornament that you love don't wait because it could be gone forever!

Now here's the fun part! You can see the ornaments as I create them by following the link that I have above! Here's also a few of my ornaments that I've recently created...

These are just some of the designs that I've been working on. I've got new designs coming each week and I have so many fabrics to cut that I just can't work fast enough! I am just so excited to share these with all of you! I really love making these ornaments and I hope that you love them just as much as I do!

Five on Friday

1. I love the day after Christmas sales. I am all over those. The Hallmark store and Hobby Lobby is where I rake up all my awesome Christmas supplies. This year for sure since next year I'll be preoccupied with a major life event happening. I feel like I scored a pretty good loot. I got the Jessica Rabbit ornament I had been too cheap to pay full price for...

2. Our wedding website is being made right now and I can't wait to see it. I'm nervous. I'm trusting that it's going to turn out great but the fact that I can't control it or haven't seen it yet is making me nervous!

3. I'm so happy that I got to see my mom for Christmas. She was only here a short time but it was so great that she was here!
I already can't wait to see her again. We Skype every week but it's just not the same as her being here in person.

4. I have always been a big fan of Urban Decay Naked makeup. When I got a lot for Christmas I was very excited! I've been wearing it every day since and it feels so great on my skin. If you've never tried UD then run to your nearest Sephora.

5. Simpler times...

I got this movie for Christmas because I had been wanting it forever. I'm not too terribly fond of the Olsen Twins but when they were this age they made about 30 movies together. This is probably one of the only ones I really liked. If you've never seen it.... watch it. It's pre-olsen problems.

The Beach Tree

If you've been following for awhile now, then you already know that I am crazy for Christmas. It is by far my most favorite time of the year. I've loved it since I was a kid and the love has grown over the years. When I became an adult, I started collecting ornaments and Christmas trees. I knew that one day I'd have the room to display all of them. I set out just buying ornaments that I really liked. Then I decided I wanted a candy tree. So I collected those ornaments, then I wanted a beach theme tree and then a movie theme tree. With every theme that was chosen, I would search out the ornaments and have so much joy getting them. Each tree is a labor of love. A love of the theme and a love of Christmas!

This is my beach theme tree...

I started this tree last year and I spent a few months leading up to Christmas searching for the ornaments. I found some after last year so there is quite a few new ornaments on there for this year.
First we have the tree topper. It's a light house. I found this little gem in a Christmas store in Pigeon Forge last year when I was visiting my mom. It's actually a figurine for a Christmas Beach village. However the lighthouse was hollow so I put it right down on the tree.

I've got three extra set of lights on this tree. One set is the hula girls dancing. The second set is the flamingos and the third is seashells.
Anyone need some clams? Or how about a Santa scuba diving?

Scuba Santa found a treasure all right. He found one full of Christmas bells and telling everyone to have a Cool Yule!

Then there's the glass octopus. I got this ornament in Sacramento and the famous Dorthea's in Folsom. I thought the price tag said $12.00. Too bad it was $22.00. He's got a good home though!

This one was a new addition. I got the swordfish this year. I was strolling around Khols with Beezy's mom and stumbled upon this beauty! I also found a palm tree that's new on the tree too.
Need a drink? There's three different little, fun drinks spread out on the tree. We've got this one, a martini and another fruit drink.

This ornament I got before I even had the idea of a beach tree. The Fabulous Annie who use to blog from Hawaii sent me this in a care package from Hawaii.
Then we have the lobster. He spends his time searching for his lobster on the top of the tree.

This Santa is spending his time getting buried in the sand...

I have three different color star fish on tree. Here we've got white. I also have peach and green. They are spread out and add more color to the blue tree. I found these beauties last year and this year at Cost World Market. They didn't have white last year and this year they do! I saw it and knew I had to add them.

That's just a little bit of the ornaments on the beach tree.
