Chou & Flowers Postcard

Hello all!  We've got an Anything Goes week at Topflight Stamps!  I was inspired by the vintage vibes of a few Chou & Flowers stamp sets:  Brittany Text, Envelopes and Postmark Background.  I stamped the Envelopes, Brittany Text and Postmark Background in Versafine Clair Nocturne on patterned papers, then fussy cut them all and arranged with some ephemera in my stash.  These were layered on a piece of vintage lace trim.  The final touches:  Hunkydory Pearls!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Feline Better

Hello everyone!  This week we've got Anything Goes at Topflight Stamps!  I had such fun with these cute kitties from Visible Image "That Lovin' Feline".  I used a paper piecing technique with Craft Consortium Leather Bound pages, stamping each kitty with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then fussy-cutting them out and setting them aside.  On the background of the card base, I used Lavinia's Mysticals Mist in Spring Moss.  Once I spritzed the card, I used spritzes of water to help the color move around.  SO COOL.  There is a copper metallic element in this color, and it moved toward the edges of my card.  (click on each image for a larger look at what I mean)

When the card base was dry, I arranged the kitties, along with their mousie toy and a bird friend, along a "carpet" made with a piece of fabric I had on hand.  It was actually the selvage edge of the fabric, and frayed quite beautifully!  The small hearts and sentiment are also from the same Feline set.

Christmas Holly

Hello!  We've got "Anything Goes" this week at Topflight Stamps, and I'm sharing a Christmas card to put away for later this year!  I started with a pretty marble-ish piece of paper from Craft Consortium Ink Drops Ocean Paper pad, because it reminds me of a frozen pond.  I splattered it with Lavinia Snow White Chalk Paint and set aside to dry.  With a Crealies Rectangle die, I cut a piece of white paper and stamped a sentiment from Creative Expressions "Tis The Season" stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne Black ink.  I dragged the edges of the rectangle with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying embossing ink pad, then sprinkled on WOW! Pure Platinum embossing powder and hit it with a heat tool.  I also used some of the platinum embossing powder in random spots on the sentiment panel, and used the heat tool from underneath the paper so it wouldn't blow around.  On a scrap piece of cardstock, I stamped two holly clusters from Visible Image "Christmas Robin" with Memento Tuxedo ink.  Then I colored, fussy cut, and glued them to the sentiment panel.

AALL & Create Morning Glory

Hello everyone!  After a hiatus, I am so happy to be back on the Topflight Stamps Design Team!  I've got a fun card today to share with you.  I had fun playing with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints on some packaging I was about to discard.  The paints covered up the cardboard package nicely!  I used Taupe and Koala with a medium size dry paint brush directly onto the cardboard, and it dries fairly quickly.  The AALL & Create "Flower Press" by Tracy Evans was stamped right onto the painted surface with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  Then I used Lavinia Snow White Chalk Paint to spatter on some spots. It was lovely as-is, but I decided to go a step further and do some paper piecing using the Craft Consortium Ink Drops "Ocean" paper pad to highlight the blossoms and a couple of leaves.  LOVE how it turned out!  Final touches were several Hunkydory Diamond Sparkle Silver Gemstones in random spots.

Baby Bunny

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps we are featuring a company from France called L'Encre et L'Image.  I picked a sweet, sweet stamp set called The Long-Eared Family.  This little bunny makes a perfect baby card. After I stamped her, colored and fussy-cut her, plus a little leafy branch, she needed a pretty place to sit.  The background white brick image is from Craft Consortium Brick Textures paper pad, and the pale plum stitched rectangle was die-cut with Crealies Stitched Rectangle dies.  A piece of lace from my stash helped give her a soft place to land.

Thank You For Being A Friend

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we are focusing on a wonderful brand from the Netherlands called Studio Light.  I chose a great set of sentiment stamps called Basic Wishes.  On a white tag, I stamped "thank you" and "for being a friend" with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  You can mix and match sentiments with this set.  I lightly inked the edges with brown ink, to give a vintage look.  The Craft Consortium Vintage Emporium Paper Pad had the perfect page full of old letters and postcards to use as a backdrop.  Finishing touches from my stash:  a seam binding bow and tiny bit of lace.

Reindeer Head Birthday

Hello!  It's Colleen with you again during the Topflight Stamps Celebration Week!  I've got a masculine birthday card to share.

I started with this realistic brick background paper from Craft Consortium Brick Textures pad, and pulled colors from it for the rest of the card.  This paper pad has a lot of different brick textures, in all kinds of colors, so versatile.  This cute Dixi Craft Reindeer Head die became the focal point of the card.  I die cut multiples and stacked several on top of one another, to give dimension.  The sentiment is from Visible Image Go To Words, a staple in my stamp stash.  After stamping it, I fussy-cut and lightly inked the edges with light brown.  The final touch was some burlap ribbon trim I had on hand.
