Shabby Chic Baby Cards

Hello my friends,

I'm sharing a few more baby cards with you today.  They each have a shabby chic vibe which I still love to create.

Verve Stamps Family Phrases sentiment; My Favorite Things Sensational Stitched Flowers die; Stampin' Up! "b" die, larger flower punch; vintage thread; pearl; tag

Technique Tuesday Sweet Babyi sentiment; Unity Delight In The Little Things carriage; wooden heart; pearls; crochet lace; Stampin' Up! pink rosette

Technique Tuesday Sweet Babyi sentiment; Unity Delight In The Little Things carriage; wooden heart; pearls; crochet lace; Stampin' Up! pink rosette, Heart To Heart punch

The last two cards are pretty similar, with just a few minor differences between them.  I had stamped that sweet baby carriage in two different colors, and didn't want to waste the lighter one (Sahara Sand by Stampin' Up!) but I prefer it darker as in the first carriage pic (Creamy Caramel by Stampin' Up!).

Sure am glad it's almost the weekend.  😊  I might even begin putting up some autumn decor indoors this weekend.

God bless you!

Wild About You

I have been blessed this year by a few friends who gave me crafting supplies they no longer needed.  One of the items was a sticker pack of happy animals.  I gave some of them to my church's Sunday school craft leader, but I kept a few and made some quick cards with them.

Not my usual style, but it was fun to try something different.

Unity Stamps Wild About You sentiment; burlap fringe; elephant sticker

Unity Stamps Wild About You sentiment; zebra sticker; rhinestones; Kat Scrappiness Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangles die; My Favorite Things - Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX

Papertrey Ink Barnyard Sentiments sentiment, On The Farm circle sentiment; cow sticker

Thanks for taking a peek at these critters! 😊

By Land and By Sea - Masculine Cards

Hello!  For my husband's birthday this year, I made him the first card you see here.  The sentiment cracks me up.  I'm actually two weeks older than he is, so of course, I am old, as well.  LOL
The mirror cardstock works so nicely with the Diamond Plate embossing folder and looks very automotive.

Unity Stamps Consider Yourself Vintage cars, sentiment stamps; mirror cardstock; Darice Diamond Plate embossing folder; My Favorite Things Slanted Sentiment Strips die

The next card was made for the shop.  The vintage sail ship stamp was in an assortment of maritime stamps I bought from an online yard sale kind of website.  I colored in a sun behind the boat, and I'm pretending it's a sunset, though I guess it could also be a sunrise?

Stampin' Up! High Seas 3D Embossing Folder; Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags star tag and sentiment; linen twine; Dragonfly Laser Vintage Sail Ship rubber stamp

Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Thanks for joining me today!

Mend A Broken Heart, You Are Amazing & Miss Your Smile

Hello everyone!  I'm popping in real quick to share a few more creations that had made their way to Arts Plus Gallery in Collingswood for sale, before the coronavirus quarantine took over.

Stampin' Up! A Little Smile sand dollar, sentiment stamps; Impression Obsession Starfish stamp; Golden Acorn Scallop Shell stamp; Hero Arts Canvas Stripes Background stamp; pearls; L'il Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle die

Papertrey Ink Happy Hydrangea flower and frame stamps, matching dies, and Pen & Ink sentiment stamp; Sizzix/Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder
Since my last post, a lot has taken place here at home.  I cleaned every item in my china cabinets, and shined up the glass shelves and polished the wooden ones.  That is a HUGE undertaking.  I rarely do it because it is so time-consuming.  But, it's finished now, and will hold me for a while. 😀  I am also polishing some silver items like baby cups, a few special spoons we have in our kitchen drawer, and water pitchers.  Again, time-consuming, but worth it to me.  Also I cut a lot of fabric on Sunday, to make face masks for me and my family.  GOSH that took a lot of time!  Next I need to sew the straps, and then the masks.  It's slow-going, because I am still working.  And finally, we had a pretty bad water leak under our kitchen sink early Sunday morning.  It flooded the cabinet, and then across the kitchen floor, under the refrigerator and stove, and seeped into the basement and SOAKED floor joists, board games, cabinets, storage tubs...it even got into our dryer!  Unbelievable.  That was not a good way to wake up Sunday morning.  I had plans for a relaxing day, but that was not to be.  Our insurance company sent a clean up team right away, and we've got big loud fans and dehumidifiers in the kitchen and basement.  Our kitchen Pergo floor is a little buckly (I made up that word), so we may need to get a new floor.  And we just had that installed a year ago.  OH WELL.  Could be much, much, much worse!  It's just an inconvenience, after all.  😏

Other than that, this is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!  Psalm 118:24

We are here, we are healthy, and that counts for so much. 💖

Hello Psalms Beautiful Sheep

Hello again for the second time today, here on my blog!  Before I go take a walk in the fresh night air with my husband, I wanted to show you a few more cards that I had a chance to photo-edit today.

Thanks for your visit once again, and I'm praying for you all to continue in good health!

Papertrey Ink The Best Is Yet To Be sentiment stamp; My Favorite Things Layered Leaves leaf dies;
Martha Stewart Deco Fan border punch

My Favorite Things - Ewe and Me Forever sheep, flower stamps; Grassy Fields grass dies; Lucky clouds and dies

Bowers of Flowers

Hello!  Today it's sunny for a change here on the East Coast!  Our weather is slowly warming up, and it has me in the mood to share flower cards. 😁

Look at the pop of magenta color on these Lenten roses!  I pulled out vibrant purples and greens from my Copic marker collection to give these blossoms some flower power.  I hand-trimmed them, and added them to an all-white card base.  The sentiment seemed to go really well with these floral beauties.

Altenew 'Hello Gorgeous' freebie stamp - Flourishes Stamps 'Lenten Rose' flowers

The next card uses a liberal dose of my favorite color, purple.  I've loved this color all of my life.  In fact, our dining room is painted with a deep plum color below the chair rail - the color is from the old line of Martha Stewart paints, and the name is Plum Pudding.  And if you're wondering, the color above the chair rail is called Gray Squirrel.  Plum and gray, those are our dining room colors.

Inspired By Stamping 'Graceful Hydrangea' flower - Verve 'Small Phrases' birthday sentiment - Stampin' Up! 'French Script' background stamp

The next card used up some pretty things that were in a box on my work desk:  stamped roses and a sentiment from Altenew, and a rectangle of black cardstock that had been punched with a wrought iron punch.
Altenew 'Vintage Roses' flowers, 'Label Love' sentiment - Martha Stewart 'Iron Gate' punch

Flourishes Stamps 'Vintage Wallpaper' background stamp - Anna Griffin flowers - white crochet lace

My Favorite Things 'Essential Sentiments' sentiment (love you more) - DCWV sticker (pure love, round tag) - Inspired By Stamping 'Graceful Hydrangea' flower stamp - Stampin' Up! Groovy Guava patterned paper

Unity Stamps 'Helping Me Grow' hydrangea seed packet stamp - old book page - crochet lace

iamroses.com Paper Gardenia flower - Stampin' Up! floral patterned paper

Altenew 'Label Love' thanks a bunch sentiment - Flourishes Stamps 'Butterflies & Blossoms' clematis stamp

The Proverbs 31:25 Scripture from Verve Stamps needed a little dressing up after I laid the rounded rectangle against the aqua patterned paper.  I took a long piece of ruffled Regal Rose ribbon from Stampin' Up! and gathered and glued it along the back edges.  Then even that seemed like it needed a bit of something extra, so I used an Altenew flower and leafy branch, stamped and trimmed, to top off the opposite corners.  The panel was set slightly to the right on the card base, to show off the pretty butterfly and flowers on the patterned paper.  I did add some rhinestones though.

Verve Stamps 'Proverbs 31:25' stamp - Altenew 'One of a Kind' flower (black and white) - Prima patterned paper

Stampin' Up! sentiment (my heart smiles just thinking of you) 'Suite Sayings' - iamroses.com paper gardenia

It's a bit tough to see in the picture of the last card, but that really thin strip is an antique gold glittered paper from DCWV.

Stampin' Up! 'Helping Me Grow' frame, sentiment and flowers

I am SO glad you came by to check out the flowers today!  God bless you!

All about circles: Easter, masculine and thank you cards

Hello there!  I've been on a kick, grouping cards by theme.  I happened to notice that most of the cards here in this post have a circle as the main focus (with the exception of the second card, which falls under the Easter category).

I framed a sweet little bunny with a stamped wreath (supplies listed in photo caption), and placed a beautiful pink crocheted circle behind it.  My friend, Jessi Fogan, crocheted this, and she sent me a few of them years ago.  Unfortunately, I just found out that Jessi passed away from a severe illness. 😢  It makes me treasure these little crocheted circles all the more .  What a beautiful reminder of a funny, generous lady.

Inkadinkado 'Baby Bunny' - Papertrey Ink 'Keep It Simple: Easter' sentiment, 'Rustic Wreath'

This cross is from Unity Stamps, from a set called "Praise The Lord."  I love the intricate detail, which may be hard to see in the photo since I stamped it in light gray.  It's exquisite.  I paired it with a 'rejoice' sentiment from Wplus9.

Unity Stamps 'Praise The Lord' cross - Wplus9 'Easter Blessings' sentiment (rejoice) - Colorbok notebook diecut

The masculine card below was a thank-you for my husband's cousin, who is a woodworker.  He made us a really cool Christmas card/ornament/frame (hard to explain it, and I didn't take a picture) for 2018.  He loves handmade things, and even asked his mom to make him a quilt for his bed.  😊  So, I made him a card that reflects his love of woodworking, and reminds him that we are family.

Stampin' Up! 'Hardwood' background stamp - Our Daily Bread Designs 'Workshop Tools' dies - Inspired By Stamping 'Inspiring Sentiments' sentiment (family)

The Papertrey Ink 'Rustic Wreath' die shows up again on this last card, this time in brushed silver cardstock.  It's a super simple thank you card, topped with just two rhinestones and a big 'thank you' stamped sentiment.

Papertrey Ink 'Rustic Wreath' die, 'Think Big Favorites #5' thank you sentiment

Thanks so much for taking a look at the cards today!  I am grateful for the comments that you all have been leaving here on the blog.  You're so kind!
God bless you!

Hello!

Today's post is all about baby cards, one of my favorite card-crafting categories.  You get to use the sweetest little stamps and adornments!

A woman at my church is becoming a grandmother for the first time and commissioned a card for the momma-to-be.  I made four!  I was on a roll and had fun with all the cuteness; just couldn't make one. 😊
