You Light Up My Life

Okay, so with this sentiment, I am totally hearing Debby Boone's voice in my head, with a song by the same title. She earned a Grammy in 1977 as Best New Artist [Wikipedia} as a result of the success of this song.  Do you remember how HUGE this song was??

But...back to the card. I used a gold-embossed Filigree Star from DRS Designs, trimmed it out, and set it upon a "lasso" of twine. A scattering of golden sequins and a perfect-match-of-a-sentiment go well with that shimmery star (Tradefish Design).

Rainbow Card

Hello everyone!

I want to share a card of mine that is in the current issue of Paper Crafts magazine, March/April 2012 issue.  It's on page 37.

It's super simple and easy to make.  =)  For instructions and supply information, check out Paper Crafts mag before it leaves the magazine shelves!

Before I go, just wanted to do a happy dance that THIS peacock card won top honors over at For Your Inspiration!  Yay!

Play Date Cafe 97 - To The Moon and Back

It's Color Splash Week again at The Play Date Cafe!  Yay!  I love black and white, and always look forward to what our newest 'splash' of color might be.  This week, the splash is RED. 

Our sponsor is TradeFish Designs, and they were kind enough to let our Design Team play with some fun products!  I received "Outta This World".

And here is my take on that:

I know it's not my usual, but I really like it!  I had fun coloring the moon and rocket with Copic markers.  The sentiment is one I've said to my youngest child for many years, so this stamp set just had my name written all over it.  ;-)

A couple of clouds, the moon and rocket are all set up on dimensional stickers.  The stars are stamped in Whisper White craft ink, and the sentiment is heat-embossed in white.
