Framed Lemon Flowers - Chou & Flowers

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we're focusing on a sweet brand called Chou & Flowers.  I used Lemon Flower, which has a filigree frame and lemon flowers and leaves.  I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, fussy cut and colored those, and set aside.  I stamped the frame with embossing ink, sprinkled on WOW! Embossing Powder in Silver Smudge and used a heat tool to set it, and trimmed it.  On my white cardstock background, I sprayed Lavinia Spring Moss, spritzed with a little water, and set aside to dry.  Once dry, I used Darkroom Door Small Stencil "Crackle" and Studio Light Stencil Paste in Gold (Silver featured here) to create some shimmery interest along the bottom half of card.  The Chou & Flowers frame and lemon flowers were glued on top, and little pearls from Hunkydory were added to the flower centers.

Thank you SO much for coming by!  I hope you have a beautiful day!

Pink Hearts Valentine

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps we are using red and pink as our theme.  I created a Valentine, focusing heavily on pink.  On a pink cardstock base, I stamped the script from Studio Light Victorian Dreams stamp set to cover the background, using Lavinia Spun Candy dye ink.  A manila tag is full of hearts, thanks to the same Spun Candy ink and a PaperArtsy Sara Naumann Hearts Stencil (PS121).  I used a strip of the Studio Light Victorian Dreams packaging to decorate the bottom of that tag, along with some rosette ribbon from my stash.  The butterflies are from that same stamp set, stamped in Morning Mist by Versafine Clair, trimmed and glued down in the centers of their bodies only so that the wings can stand up.  The sentiment was selectively stamped / trimmed from a PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Love Edition quote.

Thank You For Being A Friend

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we are focusing on a wonderful brand from the Netherlands called Studio Light.  I chose a great set of sentiment stamps called Basic Wishes.  On a white tag, I stamped "thank you" and "for being a friend" with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  You can mix and match sentiments with this set.  I lightly inked the edges with brown ink, to give a vintage look.  The Craft Consortium Vintage Emporium Paper Pad had the perfect page full of old letters and postcards to use as a backdrop.  Finishing touches from my stash:  a seam binding bow and tiny bit of lace.

Victorian Garden Work

Happy Thursday!  I am here with you to share another garden-related card for Topflight Stamps "Anything Goes" week.  I chose a gorgeous vintage inspired stamp set from Creative Expressions called Chateau Garden.  Oh my.  So many pretty stamps in one set, including some sentiments.  On a pale gray card base, I used a couple of paper snippets from Creative Expressions Nature's Compendium paper pad.  On one squarish piece that has text on it, I stamped the elaborate draping frame and then stamped the word "rose" in the center of it, using my favorite dark black ink from Versafine - Onyx Black.  I also stamped the butterfly / flower cluster from the same set, and trimmed out just the butterfly.  After a few light touches of marker, I added it to the frame and popped it up with dimensionals.  The "No. 15" ephemera on the bottom left came from the Nature's Compendium paper pad too.

Snowy Cottage

Hello!  Today I am sharing a snowy card with goodies from Topflight Stamps.  It's still cold where I live, and there is snow on the ground, and that inspired this wintry scene.

The cute little house is Crafty Individuals "Little Cottage In The Snow".  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black on patterned paper, then trimmed it out.  With a Crealies Stitched Rectangle die, I created a mat out of gold cardstock and mounted the cottage image on there.  The mat beneath that is a panel of white brick patterned paper from Craft Consortium Brick Textures paper pad.

I stamped little snowflakes from Studio Light - Vintage Winter Elements - Vintage Christmas stamp set on patterned paper and fussy-cut those out to add around the framed cottage.  Using a toothpick, I added dots of "snow" with Lavinia Snow White Chalk Paint all over the scene.

Last touch was a sentiment, which is from Creative Expressions Joyful Wishes, stamped twice.

Winter Snowflakes

Hello!  I've got a wintry card to share today for Topflight Stamps.  I wanted to suggest a snowstorm, so I started with a deep blue cardstock and flicked Lavinia Snow White Chalk Paint by tapping a damp paintbrush overtop of the card, in a random way.  I die cut a tag, then stamped Studio Light "Vintage Christmas" snowflake stamps on it in Versafine Clair Ink - Twilight.  With the same ink, I also stamped a snowflake border from the Vintage Christmas set along the bottom of the tag. The sentiment is from the same Studio Light stamp set, stamped on a little oval punched tag, with a bit of twine tied through the top.

A Christmas Bird with Lavinia Stencil

Hello friends!  It's Colleen Dietrich here with you today for Topflight Stamps.  This week we are highlighting Lavinia Stamps goodies!  The Lavinia section of the Topflight Stamps store is huge; over 700 items, including stamps, stencils, paint and more.

For today's card, I used a Lavinia stencil called Laurel.  It's a pretty vine, soft and delicate.  It reminds me of the organic designs on icy windows.  With that inspiration, I made a Christmas card.  I also used Lavinia Dinkles in Paynes Gray to help create a mottled texture.  I lined up the stencil on top of watercolor paper and spread a silver paste on top, then removed the stencil.  When the silver paste was dry, I sprinkled on the Paynes Gray Dinkles and spritzed with water a few times.  The effect was beautiful!  It spread in a random fashion amidst the Laurel leaves.  When it was dry, I was ready for the next layers of the card.

I used a piece of vellum die-cut in the shape of a flower, so the beautiful stencilling could shine through, and glued to the center of the card.  Then, using the Crafty Individuals Love Is All Around Bird Nest stamp, I stamped the image and fussy-cut the bird, then added brown ink to distress the edges.  Some pearls and a sentiment from Studio Light - Vintage Winter Elements stamp set finished off the frosty card.
