Pink Perfection - Communion and Wedding cards

Hello there, happy Friday!  Hope you've got some nice plans for the weekend.  I've got nothing on the calendar, but those are the BEST kind of days!  I'm a total homebody, and can easily fill my day with many things to do around the house.  Even if I were not a crafter, I'd still have plenty of puttering around to do and that makes my introverted heart VERY happy!

Here today are two cards that feature softer shades of pink.

The first is a First Holy Communion card for a girl, using two shades of pink from Stampin' Up! (Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride).

The next card is a super feminine wedding card and most of the supplies were from Papertrey Ink, one of my favorite paper-crafting supply companies!  The flowers and leaves were all cut from a brushed gold cardstock (Stampin' Up!).

Now back to photo-editing some more cards.  I missed practically a whole year's worth, so it's taking me a while to catch up.

Have a great weekend, and God bless you!

A Confirmation card, dressed in white

When I began creating cards in 2007, the all-white card really captivated me. With such a pure, clean, colorless palette, it's important to incorporate texture so the card looks interesting. I lean on dies, punches and embossing folders to create texture.

For this Confirmation card, I used the Stamper's Select White cardstock from Papertrey Ink (my absolute favorite white). You can't beat the price for the quality of this paper.

The frame around the edges of the card is a die from Papertrey Ink called Cover Plate: Pretty Frame. The cross is from Spellbinders Crosses Two. I die-cut three or four crosses from the white cardstock and layered them all together for dimension. It's topped with some pearls, another favorite craft supply of mine.

Even though I made this for my daughter's Confirmation, this would work equally well for a baptism, First Holy Communion, or a wedding.

Thanks so much for your visit today!

Happy Monday! Easter is fast approaching, so here are a couple more seasonal cards to share. They're available at Arts Plus Gallery in Collingswood, New Jersey.

Many Thanks & A Communion

Hello everyone!  Mind if I share 5 projects with you today?  Seems I'm churning out cards faster than I can blog about them, one at a time, so let me just inundate you in one post.  ;-)

Yesterday was my niece's First Holy Communion.  I have never made a card for that occasion before, so I turned to Pinterest for inspiration.  I pinned several to my Card Inspiration Board, and chose to CASE one in particular.  Actually, all but one of these cards were directly inspired by cards on Pinterest, and I gave credit in the captions.  (By the way, though I love making white cards, I'm finding it a challenge to photograph/edit them!  Pardon my funky lighting.)

Thanks for dropping in!
