Framed Lemon Flowers - Chou & Flowers

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we're focusing on a sweet brand called Chou & Flowers.  I used Lemon Flower, which has a filigree frame and lemon flowers and leaves.  I stamped the flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, fussy cut and colored those, and set aside.  I stamped the frame with embossing ink, sprinkled on WOW! Embossing Powder in Silver Smudge and used a heat tool to set it, and trimmed it.  On my white cardstock background, I sprayed Lavinia Spring Moss, spritzed with a little water, and set aside to dry.  Once dry, I used Darkroom Door Small Stencil "Crackle" and Studio Light Stencil Paste in Gold (Silver featured here) to create some shimmery interest along the bottom half of card.  The Chou & Flowers frame and lemon flowers were glued on top, and little pearls from Hunkydory were added to the flower centers.

Thank you SO much for coming by!  I hope you have a beautiful day!

Mixed Media - Lavender Plumed Bird

Hello!  We're focusing on Mixed Media creations this week at Topflight Stamps.  I made a card using paints, ink and embossing powder.  On a piece of white cardstock, I painted an ombre effect with two PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paints:  Blah Mange and Sugar Plum.  When it was dry, I stamped the Creative Expressions Vintage Plume stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne (black) ink.  While the ink was wet, I sprinkled on WOW! embossing powder in Platinum and hit it with a heat tool.  The effect is so cool!  Hopefully you can see it in the second card photo below.  On a separate piece of scrap cardstock, I stamped the Woodware Viola stamp with the same Nocturne ink.  Using a circle punch, I punched out two postmarks that were part of the Viola image, inked the edges, and attached to the card front.  A seam binding bow tied around the painted ombre panel was topped with one other piece of stamped ephemera I had on my desk.

Beautiful Blackthorn

Hello there!  This week at Topflight Stamps, it's Anything Goes.  I pulled out the PaperArtsy Alison Bomber Blackthorn Edition stamp set to play with.  I stamped the branch twice with WOW! Embossing Ink, then used WOW! Weathered Gold embossing powder and hit it with a heat tool.  It's such a beautiful shine, hard to capture in photos.  The same was done to a postmark from the Blackthorn stamp set.  To color the images, I used Lavinia Spun CandyGreen Parrot and Truffle dye inks and a small detail brush.  I added Hunkydory Classic Pearls along the flowers.

The background images are from the Blackthorn stamp set, stamped in Truffle ink here and there.  I added a sentiment from same set near the bottom of the card, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Final touch was a piece of crochet lace from my stash.

Christmas Holly

Hello!  We've got "Anything Goes" this week at Topflight Stamps, and I'm sharing a Christmas card to put away for later this year!  I started with a pretty marble-ish piece of paper from Craft Consortium Ink Drops Ocean Paper pad, because it reminds me of a frozen pond.  I splattered it with Lavinia Snow White Chalk Paint and set aside to dry.  With a Crealies Rectangle die, I cut a piece of white paper and stamped a sentiment from Creative Expressions "Tis The Season" stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne Black ink.  I dragged the edges of the rectangle with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying embossing ink pad, then sprinkled on WOW! Pure Platinum embossing powder and hit it with a heat tool.  I also used some of the platinum embossing powder in random spots on the sentiment panel, and used the heat tool from underneath the paper so it wouldn't blow around.  On a scrap piece of cardstock, I stamped two holly clusters from Visible Image "Christmas Robin" with Memento Tuxedo ink.  Then I colored, fussy cut, and glued them to the sentiment panel.
