In the no-youtube, zero-blog, kein-fecebutch middle-ages, I ordered Psycho's Hosebags From Hell from the Bunker mail-order: a hand-written letter, a check, a stamp and a trip to the mailbox. But since shipping was the same for two records, I had also selected We Come To Crush, from written description only. This is how many of us dinosaurs often discovered unknown bands: spending money on pure chance. Sometimes - too often - you'd end up with a pile of rotten shit (yes, I bet on the first Pantera LP, yes, I'm still ashamed), but this gambling habit was sustained by the overpowering feeling of total victory and crystal happiness when you ended up with a complete masterpiece such as We Come To Crush. This was probably an even brighter day than the first time I played Reign In Blood. We Come To Crush is the perfection of 1986, and it has not aged a bit, and it has guitar leads. It could come out today and be album of the year. Today's HC scene does not produce anything anyway, except bad Black Flag clones, pop punk raspberries and the billionth grindcrust bowel syndrome. It does not even exist. I hope I am wrong. Point me to one great (not average, I want GREAT) recent HC record (except the new Rose Rose ;-).
We Come To Crush radiates all the magnificence of eternal classics, it is like the shining heir of Bad Brains and MDC. Life is wonderful when you listen to We Come To Crush.
