I originally intended to make it super large, because there is a ton of new releases from the past year that complete many old posts. But since many of these original posts' links are down, I'd rather repost entire discographies. And anyway this post only featuring Japanese masterpieces makes it more focused. The old crossover guard is most virulent: Systematic Death and Rose Rose return with two short bombs of thrash that rank among the highest & most enjoyable of their respective releases from the last five years. The older, the nastier. Rage and power! You instantly recognize the two bands, nobody is going into more accessible or more experimental territories. Fast, vicious thrash all the way as you'd expect, just even better than last year! You can't miss these two kicks in the face. In their hard rocking way, Ningen Isu are also back with a super massive load of excellency. I am either too excited by the novelty effect, or it is indeed their best album ever. I do not know yet. All I can say is that Ningen Isu have made it heavier than ever, more catchy then ever and more grandiose than ever. The riffs, the delivery, the groove, the singing, the production, it is all top notch, it is all at 13 on a scale of 1 to 5. It is a perfection of an album if you are into heavy metallic rock with this unique signature. I am almost crying. The DVD that comes with the limited edition is a studio report, the making of the album that can only spark an interest if you speak Japanese. I don't, should have ordered the regular edition. A cargo of new extra hot noise for the weekend: first and above all, the new Rose Rose release is an instant classic! Nothing really new if you are already a fan of their killer trademark hardcore crossover: 8 fast, ass-kicking songs of unadulterated Rose Rose, plus 7 ass-kicking live tracks that span 25 years of their career. Rose Rose forever ultrazer! Then we get no less than four entries for the wizards of Doom: one excellent remaster of the classic Illegal Soul with 4 extra tracks which make it a mandatory possession, one useless compilation CD (fake news on Metal Archives led me to believe it was a rerecording album, but it is not) - if you already have their albums, do not bother - plus the soundtracks of the live DVD that comes with the comp, plus the rerecording of No More Pain (the song, not the entire album, it came on a promo CD, people still print promo CDs, amazing, especially with a single song on it). The live stuff is from 1987/1993 and is just amazing. Doomonauts salivate! The Shellshock mini CD is a rerecording and not a compilation, it features 7 songs from early demos, EPS and Mortal Days so expect their 80s thrash metal and not the advanced sonic weapons of ear contortion of their latest masterpiece ~shi~. And more noise from the non-Japanese heaven of burning metal: the latest Autopsy mini album is pure, grand, gruesome, thrashing, blood-dripping, gut-exploring Autopsy. Fans will get addicted, non-fans will be damned. Full Of Hell are back with one monster of a grindcore attack, it is as fast & short as it is ear-splitting and just perfect. The 2015 EP contains a marvelous Melvins cover. And last but not least, the new bulldozer of skull-crushing and flesh-mincing LFAA will do to you what their previous albums did: crush your skull, mince your meat in good old Terrorizer | Brutal Truth fashion. Walking corpses after world obliteration! I don't know who's the more intense between FOH and LFAA, and I don't care, Just line them up in a playlist and bang that head against the wall of noise! A hundred years ago, when the FLAC version started after the Great Filesharing Genocide of 2012, the Church Of Zer was not yet optimally equipped in the turntable department and the first 7 posts were made with the old thing. It was therefore unanimously decided to make upgraydded rips of the sonic marvels in these posts. Rose Rose are such a central and massive pillar of the universal thrashthedral that it was blasphemy not to start this rerip series with their obsessively intense records. Emotional Disturbance is surely one of the hottest crossover records of all time and space, while the other records rip and burn like a super-powered version of a beast hatched from A.O.D. and the Accüsed - except Private Or Not, a strange failure at melodic punk rock.
