Powertrip - When We Cut, We Bleed, 2000 CD Album Reissue Compilation Amsterdamned Records - 70029-2 Aging gracefully: the swift, catchy punk rock of Powertrip that feels like a superb congruence of Crucifix, Bad Brains and Scream. Jeff Dahl sings, the band rocks. I thought I was buying a speed metal album, it was in the novelty rack with Satan, Metallica and Battleaxe. But it was amazing punk rock instead and I was all the happier, even though my speed metal friends virulently protested when I played it on our local radio show (Overkill - radio Méga ! Terreur sur les ondes - radio Air ! zer) Shut up, this album should be considered a classic. Spread the word about the magnificent Powertrip! Iron horse! Powertrip - when we cut, we bleed, USA 1984 Legendary band with Jeff Dahl from the Angry Samoans (up to 1982). The LP backprint says "LA hardcore speed metal 1984", so I bought it hoping to find the new Slayer or something, yet this is more like punk rock with a heavy metal edge - and awesome at it!!
