Total thrashing request rezer triplazer! From one of my all-time top thrash metal blacksmiths, the mean, vicious, monster riffing and shouting that never reached the fame and fortune they deserved. Down has a more hardcore/Excel vibe, the other releases are just in the league of the best German thrash you're already addicted to. Massive explosion of the intensity of Holy Moses and Faff-Bey! Bang that head that doesn't bang! Thrash til megazer!

Erosion

Mortal Agony, 1988
Thoughts, 1989
Gunman MCD, 1991
III, 1992
Down, 1995
I'll take the liberty to indulge once more in a mighty reload of... German 80s thrash metal madnesssssss!!! The previous Erosion posts were separated, also I recently found a CD of the Thoughts album, plus the Gunman mcd, and finally I re-ripped the Mortal Agony LP (louder, cleaner) - so here comes a better Erosion post, totally mandatory for this incredible band. Like the living gods Eisenvater, Erosion were on We Bite records (HC/punk indie label, not very metal oriented), maybe that's why both bands did not have the impact they really should have. Erosion delivered some of the most intense thrash metal I ever heard, German or otherwise: a hard-on inducing, technical, violent, frantic mix of Holy Moses | Attitude Adjustment | Faff-Bey that I personally rank higher than Destruction or Kreator. The "Down" album has a darker "post-NYHC" vibe in the vein of Mindwar or of the last Warpath album. The EZTT contains at least the "III" album because this one is an extra big ass thrash attack of universal size in many dimensions and features the totally monstrous track "70th Floor" (which 1st version also appears on the Gunman mcd), arrrghhhhhh. It's a repost but I had to rewrite all this because Erosion FUCKING RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erosion - III + Down...

III, 1992
Down..., 1995
ZER ! ZER ! ZER ! The last 2 albums of the German thrashcore monster weigh 2.7 tons each. "III" brings out some ultra heavy, dark thrash of classic wingspan, the song "70th floor" being one of the very best headbanger in the history of metal. Condense Exodus, Cro-Mags, Carnivore and Prong and you're not there yet. "Down" has an additional late Attitude Adjustment / Excel vibe and is also the hammer of the week. I am still amazed 15 years later. Zer. Speaking of German killer thrash, I'll have to upload the Warpath discography too.
CD rip.
The first 2 Erosion albums are available here.

Erosion - thoughts + mortal agony

Erosion - thoughts + mortal agony, Germany 1988/1990
Criminally underrated thrashcore ahead! Erosion's music on these first 2 albums is a concrete-&-lead load of faster Destruction x heavier Cro-Mags with some impressive technical parts for the pound of brutality. Nothing really new but such a dose of frantic energy that you want to learn to drive a tank. Zerissimme !
Vinyl rips.
Next 2 crushing albums 'III' and 'Down' TBU soon.
titles mortal agony
titles thoughts
