Time for a reinforcement of the aural conduits with complements of past posts - new or missed releases. All excellent: Jingo rock like hell, an amazing live recording from the hard rocking Germans on fire. Hirax reiterate the aggressive and compact style they've been known for the past albums, nothing new but high density super efficient old school thrash metal. That Warfare demo CD is for very old fans who miss the very old days of Pure Filth, lots of bulldozing archeo-fun with a lo-fi attack. Attitude Adjustment return with a new blitz of angry crossover that matches No Way Back in quality, however there are two flaws: it is way too short (I expected more volume after a 5 years long wait), and the best songs are the three covers from American Paranoia and Out Of Hand. Totenmond are back to crush things and bodies with a new delivery of their very heavy crust sludge of Eisenvater proportions, awesome bone-cracking! But wait... there's D.R.I. and their three new songs (not bad for a 21 years long wait!!!), plus two covers from Dealing With It! in slow motion. I expected to be more excited by this new D.R.I. release, but am I not blaspheming?? And last but not least, the superstar release of this post, the new missile from Gargoyle! Pure and perfect gargoylism is deployed on this magnificent album, with the traditional two almost-cheesy ballads, and of course the high level, super sophisticated, killer thrashing of the rest of this gem of an album that navigates in Super Battle Gargoyle territory. Thrash til rezer!!!

Dealing with it for 30 years! And counting. From the golden wagon of eternally classic and genre-defining entities [insert your preference here: Bad Brains, Motörhead, Judas Priest, Slayer, Venom...], D.R.I. fueled a lifelong love story: my first aural contact with D.R.I. go back to the What Does Not Hurts Us and P.E.A.C.E./War compilations. Then I miraculously got my own copy of the Dirty Rotten LP (thanks Gisela from West-Berlin!!! Best pen-pal ever!), which floored me - fastest piece of sound I had ever heard (in 1984). Then during my summer vacation in 1985 in SF, Ca, I had an afternoon to kill before the Possessed/Slayer show, so I went to the Record Vault, where I bought (hold your teeth): C.O.C. - Animosity, Raw Power - Screams From The Gutter, SSD - How We Rock, Hallows Eve - Tales Of Terror, Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales, Hirax - Raging Violence, Septic Death - Now That..., Dr Know - Plug-In Jesus, Lääz Rockit - City's Gonna Burn and... D.R.I. - Dealing With It! Wasn't that an amazingly superior day? I remember it as vividly as the days my kids were born.
D.R.I. UNTIL MY LAST BREATH!!!

bootlegs + demo
thanks Hardy!
The D.R.I. post is mandatory, especially after yesterday's. The cult of D.R.I. will continue through the centuries as long as humanity counts people smart enough to be into crossover. Dealing With It! is a member of the Eternal Zer Top 10 (I should be careful not to pack more than 150 titles in the EZT10!). Yet all the records are still as amazing as ever, I'm not going to waste your time on inept praise, just thrash 'til zer!

D.R.I. FOREVER!

CD rip. I lost my 1982 live tape with the Jesus artwork, sorry...

The Dirty Rotten CD features the 1987 remix, I'm too lazy to rip the original LP (no I'm not a happy owner of the EP!). Anyway I enjoy the mix on this CD better, and it has the murderous Violent Pacification 7".
All rips are from original RR/Metal Blade/Rotten Records releases, I didn't buy any of the more recent reissues with bonus demos and live.
The tribute features living legends such as the Fartz, Holy Moses (cover from Reborn Dogs), Ratos De Porao, L'Amico Di Martucci, Total Fucking Destruction, Mr Bungle, Capitalist Casualties etc. 37 tracks total!
