For this Christmas, the dessert overflows with proteins and nitroglycerine. First, a 2017 reissue of the 8186 double live album from Loudness that expands now to a spectacular 4 CDSs set, with a complete revisitation of the original show through a stellar 2017 performance; some bands rerecord their albums, Loudness also rerecord their live albums, because they are touching God. Then the orgy of novelties descends upon the true zerist like the avalanche it is expected to be when one sees the menu, but more once the aural conduits are compressed by so much divinity; the new Ningen-Isu, the new Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu, the new Doom albums are marvels beyond the dimensions of zerism, each in their respective crafts outdoing what they are already worshipped for; a true nativity in riffs. Fans of these living monuments of soundgasm already know in their flesh that they are entering Heaven. Non-fans are not real humans. And then we conclude this overwhelming mass of excitement and power with a superb remaster of the 2009 Dead Head album. The original mix was maybe too bright for some, this remaster makes it a little more muddy and dark, not sure if it was a great improvement. But the great incentive to acquire this double-CD is the killer live album included in the package. This band simply rips in a live setting, this recording is a teeth-removing thrash metal experience that also reduces your head to a small heap of dust. Hostile and heavy like Exodus, savage like Sodom, at the speed of Sadus on fire. Thrash 'til fucking zer!!!  Play everything louder than everything else! Now the one that was the most anticipated appearance on this blog is the new deadly, invincible release by the thrash metal masters Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu. This album is the most perfect prototype of modernized thrash massacre one can dig from the bowels of the underground. Incredible energy, addictive monster riffs, relentless pummeling, irrepressible vocal invasion and these unmatched bass lines: it is all there, and more. Another step upward from their previous black diamonds! With the perfect production and artwork, your meat must now surrender. Bow down to the ultimate death thrash FUCK YEAH!!! Darkthrone are also back in great shape. The Arctic Thunder returns to their more primal side, in comparison to the fantastic heavy metal-charged epicness of The Underground Resistance. This unbelievable thing was totally unexpected from me, and it reaches new altitudes in the zeriverse of evilgasm. This album is only too good to be true : old fashioned Bethlehem rejuvenated by a new line-up surrounding Bartsch with all the incisive riffing, massive tanks of grave rhythms, crazy female vokills into the trademark hypnotism and non-detachable melodies that is Bethlehem's secret weapon. Welcome the return of the mortal heavy blackness ultimatizer!!! FUCK JA!!! And Onslaught grace us with a killer live release that surpasses the previous killer live release of 2009 - old songs, new songs, non-stop thrashing, exponential riffs and thermonuclear devastation of the planet earth! The Poles in Acid Drinkers are back too with a new collection of thrashing metal in their own fashion - it rocks, it rolls and it cancels again any attempt by Metallica to remain relevant (yeah there was new Metallica too, do not waste your time and drink this acid instead). Acid Drinkers party! The Levitation Hex offers us a new and outstanding continuation to their amazing debut, which confirms at the same time the similitude and the departure from a simple continuation of Alchemist. Cohesion is a masterpiece of Voivodian size. I used already too many time the words "awesome" and "amazing" today but what am I supposed to say about such a grand album? It rocks you to death in a desert full of agile scorpions that inhabit dried up skulls of vanquished beasts, this is what it is. Superior and ripe for manic compression. Highest defenestration of the soundgasm!!! Overheated saturation of the joy glands!!!  Enter the epic soundscapes of samurai metal and bang your head non-stop against all impenetrable surfaces. Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu deliver merciless thrash metal with death metal prongs, fangs and claws. And swords, of course. The first album has this early Entombed / Clandestine concupiscence that we sweat for and is a monster in itself. But without trying to diminish this marvel of an effort, the highest giant here is the second album. What an invincible Godzilla of sound and dark fury! Add to the Entombed layer the radioactive riffing of Dark Angel  / Darkness Descends and some of the evil concussion of early Mutliplex. I am again becoming all wet just thinking about it. The truth is I am also listening to it while typing this. Once a day is a minimum. No, Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu do not innovate a lot, but they don't need to. They reinvent the wheel and now it rolls even better thanks to their unlimited talent in song writing and execution. This is flawless, the solos are amazing, the riffing eats you from all angles, the vocals penetrate every pore of your amazed meat and the rhythm section is simply perfect. You have never heard such bass lines and rumbling sound in a thrash/death album. Long, flawless, purely organic songs, this is music for mammals. And there is a Pink Floyd cover.
