Birdflesh insert the necessary fury of grindcore in a humorous settlement that does not diminish the impact of the fury, unlike so many joke acts. The Farmer's Wrath sounds pretty close  to a Macabre album and is maybe the least savage of the lot. Mongo Musicale is the major beast here. The Eternal Zer Top 10 has many things of first necessity like Eisenvater and Die You Bastard!, and of course a very large wagon for the undisputed kings of terminal grindcore BRUTAL TRUTH!!!!!!! I just spent two days listening exclusively to BT (ah non, I also had some Massacre and Pungent Stench, sorry for the lie), so I felt like posting a bit of their discography. BT have been awesome from day one and have always remained at the top. A unique style, a mastery of dynamics, a merciless execution (watch them throw a 90 minutes performance in your general direction and pick up your jaw), and the best people I've ever had the pleasure to play shows with. Mongo Musicale, 2006 The Farmer's Wrath, 2008 Grindcore en slip ! Featuring some of the meat from the almighty Swedish kill machines Sayyadina and General Surgery, Birdflesh deliver top grade grinding thrash metal (the last two albums) and first hand thrashing grindcore (the first two or three). This is of the AWESOME sort, filled with memorable headbangers, catchy grooves and blistering attacks of blast beats. These guys are like the Stupids or A.O.D. of grinding metal : Pythonesque attitude and seriously crafted music, that intensely competes here with Unholy Grave | Macabre. Hard to select a favorite, probably Mongo Musicale, a true masterpiece rich in thrash, blasts and dogs. They also have the best violin track in the history of metal!
