Zer. From 80s no-fi grinding bursts to the latest masterpiece of controlled carnage, Cripple Bastards never stopped making the world a horrible place for our aural delight. My favorite records are "misantropo" (2000) and "variante" (2008). "Misantropo" is the ultimate assault of short sharp songs, fully mastered and maturely executed, a referential treatise of grindcore, far superior to 99% of everything else except Brutal Truth. "Variante" has longer songs, more groove and evil arrangements that hook you to 5 listens per day - terrifying grindcore mixed with meat grinding thrash metal !!! I personally find "variante" much more interesting than the latest Pig Destroyer, Terrorizer or Mumakil - maybe it's the strong echo of 80s Italian hardcore viciousness (Wretched/Declino all the way!). Grind with soul! Grind with feeling instead of demonstrations of athletics! Hate over performance! Fuck yeah! It's even better than the super excellent Extreme Noise Terror if you ask me.
