Snake Nation

Snake Nation - Snake Nation 1989
01. Snake Nation - Snake Nation, 1989 LP
     Caroline Records - CAROL 1394
Requested, reloaded, rezer: the hard rocking C.O.C. side-project of 1989. What an amazing record that IMHO was never matched by post-Blind C.O.C. Darkened 70s hard rock drowned in a sludge swamp, triple triple zer!
Oh, for more Corrosion you might be very interested in this blog.
And yeah, a happy new year to everyone. Blog tradition asks to post the 2012 top 5, but I don't think I bought 5 2012 albums. Ah yes: Z, Terrorizer, Napalm Death, Bad Brains, C.O.C., all great, and still waiting for the new Gargoyle, which automatically enters the top 5.

Corrosion Of Conformity - Your Tomorrow 7"

Corrosion Of Conformity - Your Tomorrow 7", 2010
Amazing artwork, thick red vinyl, classic 1985/1986 trio line-up... and mild disappointment. Like the new single-track Amebix EP does not compete with Arise! or Monolith, this C.O.C. ep does not really match their über infernal classics Six Songs With Mike Singing, Animosity and Technocracy. But it's still a very good song, split over the two sides of the record: groovy sabbathism much, much better than the garbage of American Volume Dealers, with the basics of what made Hungry Child or Crawling so great, in a Snake Nation way. Ah yes, this song would have fit on the Snake Nation album. I guess a whole album of this would be more convincing than a single song, and we can only hope it would happen before April 2036. Meanwhile, let's pump fucking Animosity one more time!!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Interventiooooooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vinyl rip (both sides of the record in one mp3).

Corrosion Of Conformity

Eye For An Eye + Six Songs With Mike Singing, 1983/1985 Track 1
Animosity, 1985
Technocracy (9 songs version), 1987
Blind, 1991
Vote With A Bullet (MCD), 1992
Deliverance, 1994
Wiseblood, 1996
America's Volume Dealer, 2000
Live Volume, 2001
In The Arms Of God, 2005
Snake Nation, 1989
Highway to hell!! C.o.C. sure is a large teeth in the jaw of 80s US hardcore, their name would always pop up in the same sentence along Septic Death, Poison Idea, The Accüsed, Suicidal Tendencies, Verbal Abuse, DRI, Offenders... Then they released the incredible crossover monsters Animosity and Technocracy, two of the best records on the planet. Blind was disappointing at first, but once you had swallowed the fact it wasn't an extended Technocracy, you got hooked to its amazing grrrrroovy Prong-tallica metal, totally hot! On the following albums they turn to BlackFootSabbatallica southern stoner hard rock which is also excellent and more intense than usual (thanks to the awesome drumming), although I'm not too excited about America's Volume Dealer's exagerated radio friendliness. Also included here is a repost of Snake Nation, a one-album side project of doomy sludge thrash rock with a Clue Cheer cover. Snake Nation feature Mike Dean and Woody W. and the album is a dark rock masterpiece that surpasses all the C.o.C. stoner albums if you ask me.
Worship the kings of crossover!!!
