Welcome New Sponsor Ruby Lane

Whenever I'm working on a project I love to incorporate a few vintage of one of a kind
items which is why I am so excited to welcome my newest sponsor, Ruby Lane.

Ruby Lane is an online treasure trove of vintage pieces.
I especially love browsing their collectibles and art.
They have thousands of individual shops with everything from jewelry to furniture.

A few things that caught my eye in a quick browse were:

Happy Shopping and welcome to Ruby Lane!

The Faded Awning Collection

One of my favorite things about visiting home boutiques is often meeting the shop owners.
They always seem to have interesting stories and love to talk about furniture as much as I do.
On my trip to California, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a brand new store where I met the darling Cathy Allen. As it turns out, I popped in on the first day the shop opened it's doors so of course Cathy was chatty and excited. What a treat! Cathy was truly a kindred spirit and I could have talked to her all day about her flea market treats up and down the California coast.

The Faded Awning Collection is located at 7464 Girard Avenue in La Jolla, right across the street from The Girard Avenue Collection and Etceteras so if you plan a visit, you get three wonderful stores all in a row! Cathy's store is a treasure trove of one of a kind antiques and accessories and anything you could ever want to create the perfect coastal retreat. I spent at least an hour just wandering and looking until my husband came back and sweetly told me it was time to leave.

Spots to Shop-H.D. Buttercup

I've been wanting to visit H.D. Buttercup for as long as I can remember.
Let me tell you it did not disappoint! It also happens to be a favorite haunt of our pal Thom
I walked out of that store so inspired I could have decorated the sidewalk in front of it.
There is nothing like visiting an impeccably styled furniture store and wishing you could buy everything
right off the floor and take it home with you. Here are just a few of the lovely sights I laid eyes on:

This chair was love at first sight!

Look at this wonderful settee upholstered in one of my favorite fabrics

spots to shop-Etceteras

Another spot I visited on my trip to California sits right next to the Girard Avenue Collection.
Etceteras is just as wonderfully styled and full of visual delights, both new and antique.
Lots and lots of loveliness. Take a look for yourself:
