just a little crush

I stumbled accross Scott Laslie's work while thumbing through a recent issue of Decor magazine andI can not get enough. I  love the depth of his spaces and the soothing color palettes he employs while still giving a lot of personality to his spaces, and those fabrics.

Check out his work here.

In a city near you-Chicago

Happy chic home

Maybe it's that I just got a box of goodies this week for a room I'm working on and that they have the best customer service, or maybe it's that I love his style, or maybe it's that I just scored some desk accessories at target that are totally happy chic, but I cannot get enough of Jonathan Adler these days.

I love love love his 10 commandments.

treasure

I went to the thrift store today channeling Eddie Ross.  He seemed to be with me there in spirit because I snagged some wonderful things. It was great, until I lost my keys and spent an hour searching the store only to find out they had some how made their way into the lining of my purse that I had already emptied out 15 times. Oh well, some times this happens. At least I have some beautiful new milk glass to make me feel better about it.

I have never in all my life seen custom cabinetry that I love as much as this

This is from a project by Ryan Brown of Brown Design, one of the stars of Bravo's Flipping Out

The new season starts August 17th! I cannot wait!

Pamplemousse Design

I love the simplicity of the sofa in this room and how it contrasts with the bold geometric of the rug. This is the living room of Delpine Krakoff who owns Pamplemousse Design

I think it is often true that designers save some of their best ideas for themselves and I think the simple border accents on this stunning sofa are a prime example. It has a high end look but could easily be recreated with a sofa from a big box store and a great seamstress or a little stitch witchery and some grosgrain riboon.

lamp love

This image from Ron Marvin's portfolio has me craving some sunny yellow lamps. I really appreciate what he does with small spaces. Seeing these make me miss our small NY apartment. He loves lamps and mirrors even more than I do. If you haven't seen his work, cruise through his website asap.

Halsea's digs

I've long been a fan on Halsea, a chic california company known for their hip luggage and accessories. Next time I head to Newport beach, a visit to their store is at the top of my list. I love the bright and bold textiles that Halsea is famous for and their store is just an extension of their cool palm beach meets california laid back style. Their boutique/corporate offices were actually designed by Krista Ewart {a Ruthie Sommer's protege} whose home has been featured in domino, AT, and HGTV.
