There's a new Caitlin in town

Let me tell you about another girl named Caitlin. She happens to share my name. She also happens to have brown hair and brown eyes just like me. She also happens to be a designer. She also happens to love beautiful fabrics by Kelly Wearstler, Celerie Kemble, and Windsor Smith. And now the best news of all, she now has a blog!

My friend Caitlin lives over in Dubai and just started a design blog, Style Files to share her passions and treasures with all of us. She posted these images today of her home in Dubai and I loved every little detail. I thought you would too. Take a look. You will love her and her beautiful rooms.

Life in Shade

You may remember Shade Clothing from last fall when I participated in their style guide. Well, starting this month yours truly will be writing a one monthly column about decorating on their blog. This month I'm sharing a few Valentine's gift ideas. You can check it out here.

So let me tell you about ALT.  Going into this mecca of all things blogging and design, I didn't quite know what to expect. Well let me tell you I was blown away by the information and the all star group in attendance. 

It was gratifying to hear that haphazardly I've been making really smart decisions about growing my business, and it gave me some ideas about how I can expand things on this blog to make it more enjoyable for me, and of course for all of you. 

2010 is going to be a big year. New sponsors, new giveaways, a new look, and of course lots and lots of beautiful new rooms.
