Double Pointed Knitting
needles size 4 US (3.5 mm)
At least 8 oz of leftover sock
yarn - all machine washable preferably. You can use odds and ends for
this. What a great way to use up those odd balls of leftover sock yarn! Just tie them together to form a large ball of sock yarn, and try
to keep all the ties on the inside as you knit around and around.
Cast on 54 sts leaving a 12" tail, separating them evenly 18
on
each needle. (Use any number divisible by 3) ♥ You will be knitting in the round for as long as you want
your scarf to be. At least 4 feet long. Cut a 12" yarn tail.
Remove from needles using a sewing needle and your yarn tail, which you
weave through the sts on the needles. Remove as you go and pull
tightly to close. Weave back in and out of a few sts to anchor.
Using your starting 12" yarn tail, do the same thing at the
beginning. Weave through the cast on sts and pull tightly to close.
Anchor yarn.

can also make these scarves using leftover sport weight or baby yarn.
