You can use whatever colors you wish to make yours, but for
purposes of showing how to make this particular scarf, I have included
the colors. Enjoy!!

Make
9 granny squares with opposite color choices for each one. I
started using pink in the middle and made 5 , then I started with
purple for 4 of the squares.
Size H (5.00 mm) hook, 2 oz Caron Simply Soft Yarn (or other soft worsted weight yarn) (10 ply UK)
START: (Using pink or purple) Chain 4, join with a slip stitch to your 1st chain to form a ring.
Round 1: Chain 3, make 2 double crochet inside the ring,
*(Chain 3, make 3 double crochet in ring); repeat from * 2 times more,
Chain 3, slip st in top of beginning chain.
Slip st in next 3 double crochet to the corner.
Round 2: (Change color to purple or pink) Chain 3, (2 double crochet, Chain 3, 3 double crochet) in same space/corner – chain 1,
then *(3 double crochet, Chain 3, 3 double crochet in next corner, Chain 1);
repeat from * 2 more times, join with slip stitch to top of beg - Chain 3.
Slip stitch in next 3 double crochet to the next corner.
Rnd 3 (Back to pink or purple) Ch 3, (2 double crochet, Chain 3, 3 double crochet) in same space/corner, – chain 1,
make 3 double crochet in the space/hole, Chain 1,
*(3 double crochet, Chain 3, 3 double crochet in next corner, Chain 1, make 3 dc in the space/hole, Chain 1);
repeat from * 2 more times,
join with slip st to top of beg- Chain 3.
Slip stitch in next 3 double crochet to the next corner.
Rnd 4 Do 1 more round in this manner to complete 1 square (Changing colors back to purple or pink).
Make a total of 9 squares - Make 5 starting with pink and 4 starting with purple.
Join end to end using a whip-stitch. After joining your scarf, attach
pink anywhere on the scarf and sc in each stitch and ch1 around.
In the corners make 6 sc. End off when you get around entire
scarf, and weave in any ends. To make this for an adult, simple add
more granny squares. You can even make it wider by adding another round
for the granny square.
