2014

And when you realized, the year is over

6 years blogging and I right now I found myself guilty for not explaining you why I dissapear mostly half of the year... So as I love making summaries and lists, let's summaries my 2014 :)

1. SABF

Now, if you are reading this, and you are a university student, this might be really interesting for you! (really)

So, the South American Business Forum (SABF), is a conference organized by student for students, that take place in Buenos Aires, in August for three days and bring together 100 of the best students from all around the world. You can read more about and/or aplly here: http://www.sabf.org.ar/

This is how my year started, being part of the team that organize this conference, it was an intence year full of work, but a super amazing experience! If you has the chance to participate, it really change your life as a student!

2. Tech Trek

While the whole organization of SABF was happening, I also was organizing a project I called "Tech Trek", do you remember last year I went to San Francisco? Well... I decided I wanted to go again but this time visiting tech companies, startups, accelerators and moe! Was a super exciting trip that last 10 days and visit 35 different companies! Pretty amazing trip :)

3. University

But not everything was travelling this year... I also spend a lot of time studying, and I happy to said that I'm in third year of my studies :) 2 years from getting my degree!!

4. TEDx / Capital Cities Concert

I think this year I trully enjoyed Buenos Aires in his maximan potencial :) I get to attend Tedx Rio de la plata, that is the biggest TEDx in the world!! and it was amazing! If you dont know Ted Talks, they are like 10 minutes talk that really blow your mind, they are made by normal peopke who has a story to tell or are passionete about something. PS: they are addicting, so be careful lol

I also went to more concert this year that in my whole life! I went to hear Jack Johnson, Capital Cities (my favorite band so far), on the summer I also went to the Ultra Music Festival, which amazing but pretty exhausting, and a couple more

So yep, that was basically my year, was really really different from others, but I think one of the most amazing ones, and where I met the most incredible people!

So I'm super excited about this new year, but I don't know if can be as good as 2014 was :)

As, lot of things has changes around here, I will have a couple of different post soon!

Cumpleaños 19 - Té en el Hotel Alvear

El domingo pasado fué mi cumpleaños número 19 (hora de actualizar toda la información de mi blog jaja) Y fué el primer cumpleaños que pasé fuera de Neuquén!

Last sunday was my 19th birthday! (time to update my bio info lol) And it was my first birthday outside Neuquén!

Mamá trajo un molde de torta desde Neuquén para hacerme una torta acá en Buenos Aires, tenemos pocas cosas acá así que fue bastante sencilla. Generalmente las conversaciones el día de mi cumple van algo así:

-Hola, feliz cumple! Como fue la torta que te hizo tu mamá? Quiero ver una foto!

Así que si... la torta es parte importante, es un evento por si sola prácticamente.

My mom bring the cake mold all the way from Neuquén to Buenos Aires to make me a cake!! because with have few things the cake was quite simple... Most of the time the conversations on my birthday are something like this:

- Hi! Happy Birthday! How is the cake your mom made you? I want to see a photo!

Aprovechando el hecho de que estoy en Buenos Aires, de regalo pedí ir a tomar el té en el Hotel Alvear. Cada vez que iba al cine en Neuquén pasaban la propaganda del hotel Alvear, no entiendo la razón estando tan lejos... pero bueno, digamos que me después de verla tantas veces en esa super pantalla me autoconvencí que algun día quería conocerlo.

Taking advantage that I'm in Buenos Aires, as a present I ask to take the tea in the Alvear Hotel, I heard so much about it that I really want to know it! Is like one of the "secret treasures" of Buenos Aires!

El lugar era de ensueños parecía como si nos hubiésemos transportado a París! (Pero la atención era bastante mala, lo que te hacía recordar que estabas en Argentina jaja)

The place was amazing!!! incredible beautiful, I felt like I was in Paris!,

Primero scones calentitos con "lemon curd" y mermelada, después un stand que iba desde cosas saladas hasta cosas dulces...

First they serve us some warm scones with a delicious "lemon card", and them the bring and amazing selection of sweet and salad things...

Y finalmente, pasaban como con un carrito al estilo Harry Potter lleno de tortas de todos los gustos para que uno elija, claro que después de todo eso uno estaba que rebotaba así que estaba la posibilidad de llevárselo a la casa...

Finally the came with a little trolley (kind of Harry Potter style) full of little cakes of all types, where you can choose from, it was paradise.

En fin, fue como una tarde a lo "familia real".

Flashback : My prom 2012 / Mi fiesta de egresados

El otro día revisando algunas fotos en la compu encontré las de mi fiesta de graduación y me di cuenta que no les había contado ni mostrado ninguna foto!! Y como hace poquito fue época de graduación en Estados Unidos aprovecho para mostrarles (: "tarde pero seguro" (las fotos son del Diciembre 2012 jeje.... "bien tarde, pero seguro")

The other day I was seeing some photos in my computer and I found my prom photos, and I realize I didn't show you any! And as it was prom season in United Stated I decided to show you some pictures now "better late than never" they said....

Mi vestido era palo rosa, y en el hombro tenía bordado como unas flores en plateado (es bastantes simple comparado con los mega vestidos que usan en USA jaja) Mis zapatos son plateados, clásicos nada raro. El peinado y el maquillaje me lo hizo gente que sabe porque yo soy un desastre con eso jaja

My dress was soft pink and the shoulder was beaded with some silver details. My shoes are silver too, they're classic... My hair and make up was done by "profesionals" because I'm a disaster with that lol

En la foto tengo aparatos no se si se llega a ver, me los habian puesto unos meses antes :( pero ya me los sacaron jaja fue poquito tiempo por suerte! (todas mis amigas de negro y yo ahi de rosa :D)

La entrada de los egresados siempre es sorpresa hubo años que entraron en un camión de bomberos, trencito, autos de la policia, y nosotros entramos en un colectivo. Un colectivo de transporte público así es.... La gente no entendía nada cuando nos veían pasar, todos vestidos de fiesta adentro de un colectivo....
With enter to the prom in a bus, yes, a public bus.... it was fun though, people in the street didn't understand anything when they saw that bus pass full of "elegant people" lol
