I thought this was rather amusing and decided I should write about it before my day gets away from me. I awoke this morning at about 6:15 or so to Ryan shouting "BIRDY ALARM." Which during the day means that one of our birds is on the ground. (we have 2 parakeets and 1 cockatiel) Everyone is supposed to be careful while I make it to the room to pick the bird up and put it back on top of the cage.
Being that is was so early in the morning, I couln't figure out how the bird was even out of the cage. By this time Ryan's yell had awaken Cody and he wanted to get up too. So Cody and I went out to the living room. The birds still had their sheets over their cages an we asleep and their was no sign of Ryan.
So we made our way to his room where he is still sleeping in his bed. =) Ryan had been talking in his sleep. =) I started cracking up. I really couldn't believe that he didn't wake himself up. Cody and were still tired and since Noah is out of town on business, I let Cody get back in bed with me. Although it took a few minutes to persuade Cody that Ryan really was still sleeping and that nobody was playing out in the living room. Once he believed me, we were fast sleep again.
Ryan doesn't really believe me and insists he was probably dreaming about the birds. These type of things are why I love being a mom.....I had to laugh this morning despite my sleep being interrupted.

Oct. trip to Utah
I thought I would write about my trip to Utah as I'm trying to become more familiar with blogging. My sister Shannon is going to BYU-Utah and we decided that she needed a special visit from all of her sisters. So, my mom took Crystal's little girl Summer and the boys for a few days while our husbands were working. Jasmine took a few days off of school and we headed up to see Shannon. Jasmine, being a pretty new driver on the road, drove most of the way. How nice for us. She thought it was great and we decided that the 3 of us made good traveling companions. My sisters were totally surprised how how far I'd go into between stops to use the potty. They figured that with my being pregnant, we would be stopping every couple of hours. Well they were wrong. I was awesome.
Of course we had to look like dorks and get out of the car to do some tourist pics.
My Aunt Ruth treated us all to lunch at the Red Robin one day and it was great to catch up. We then went over the the DI where we found some good buys.
We took a quick tour of the temple grounds and Jasmine really wanted this picture. It's always fun to be at the temple when there are brides coming out. Crystal and I went on and on about how Shannon will do her wedding. Everything from what dress I'd be willing to wear....to how our hair should be done. She not getting married yet, but since we were there we just thought we'd let her know all of that stuff. Hey, isn't that what sisters are for?
I won't go into detail about Shannon's apt. but since this is kind of my journal, I will say 2 words. Draino and a Vacum cleaner. Other than that we had a great time with Shannon. Provo is a lot bigger than Rexburg. I'd be pretty nervous about that big of a change. It was so nice get get away with my sisters for a few days. My husband was wonderful and even had most of the dishes done along with the house vacumed...it looked better than when I left it. And that's all that I cared about. Now we're looking forward to Shannon coming home for Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween!
My second blog didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to. It seriously took me longer than I want to admit to simply post this and I have pictures and text in the wrong places. So again please be patient with me as I'm still learning how to do this. (Noah laughed as I've been trying to get this right saying that he honestly doesn't know anything about blogging so he couldn't help me)

The boys loved their costumes so much that they wanted to try them on all of the time.

So,I thought I'd do a better job at blogging than once a week. But I guess it will just take me some time to make it a habit.
We had such a fun Halloween and month of October. It started with a trip to Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center. It's a great pumpkin patch that offers a variety of stuff to do including a hay ride, corn maze, petting zoo, pony rides and tons of food. We went with my sister Crystal and her family, and Grandma Bostwick & Aunt Vanessa. Needless to say the b
oys had a blast.
Happy Halloween!
We did lots of celebrating for this Halloween. Our ward had a Trunk or Treat party a few weeks before Halloween where we ate good chili and other treats. We also had a little Halloweenie dinner at Grandpa David's where the grand kids got to dress up in their costumes yet again and eat lots of candy. On Halloween night we went to Grandma and Grandpa's (w/ the 2 doggies~as Ryan would say. They are my parents) The boys love it there because Grandma goes all out for Halloween. She has pumpkins everywhere and the boys love all of the decorations. My sister and her family were also there. We went trick or treating with cousin Summer and ate lots of good food along with candy of course. I love to watch the boys trick or treat and use their manners saying please and thank you. It makes me feel good as a mom...that I'm doing something right. The adults played a few rounds of Catch Phrase and had a blast. It was a really fun Halloween.

I never thought that I would say this
Just as I talked trash about people using myspace, I eventually set one up. Then after a yr. of myspace I set up a facebook, thinking I'd never do that. I love the facebook because I can keep in touch with so many people. So back to the I never thought I'd say this title. I have finally decided to start a blog and this is my first posting. I have no idea what I am doing so please be understanding as you read this.
I know so many women who blog and I've always wanted to but thought how in the world do you have time to do that. Well, I'm going to make time. I really like a couple of ideas that go along with blogging. Quite a few of your blogs that I have read say you use it as your journal. I love that idea. Also, I like the idea that family and friends all over can see what my little family here is doing.
Now don't get me wrong, I defnt. don't want to use this as a bragging site or a complaining site, but I'm sure at times that will happen. I'm looking forward to starting this and hope that my family and Noah's family will enjoy it too.
