BLOG HOP!!!!

Hello hello! In today's instalment of arty farty we have a BLOG HOP!!! The Quirky Kits girls have teamed up with us at Scrap365!!

You can visit the Quirky Kits Blog to see what Leonora and the design team are making with the current kits.
There are three bi monthly kits to choose from which arrive in the cutest wee bags!!!!!

First off we have the Main Kit:

Looking for something a little smaller? Why not try the Lite Kit:

Don't need paper? Well, QK have just the thing for you!! The Embellishment Kit:

All of the kits are sent out bi-monthly, so no stash overload!! They are beautifully packaged in paper bags, perfect for keeping your goodies neat and tidy; and the Embellishment Kit comes in a cute little box! Leonora and her team have a ton of ideas for you on their blog  and they regularly pin sneak peeks of future kits on their Pinterest boards.

We'd like you to join in and create with us using the sketch as a starting point. It doesn't have to be with quirky kit goodies but if you do use them let us know :-)

Here's a list of all the gals that are playing along today; please make sure that you leave a comment on every hoppee's blog, like Scrap365 on Facebook and follow the Quirky Kits blog so that we can put you into the draw to win the MAY/JUNE 'It's My Party' Main Kit.

We will be doing the draw and announcing the winner on Friday, 4th July at 9am.

HOP LIST

njmacs.blogspot.co.uk/ - Natalie (you are HERE)

I sub to the main kit and I love it. I love stash. I love quirky stash. I love being able to get a kit that's different, filled with stash I wouldn't normally buy or can't buy in the UK, and I love that's it's bi monthly!!

So I was given the lite kite to create with:

I went all fussy cutting on that floral paper! I cut geometric shapes from the papers and painted the dotty paper with watercolours. I can't create without inks so I used them to create my background.
That huge ampersand is fussy cut out as are the hearts and I used the sayings stickers as part of my title. The alphas are black and white stickers that I coloured in with sharpies.

Some close ups for you.

Now, I have FOUR more layouts to show you so come back everyday to leave a comment and I will put your name into a hat to win a box full of goodies from me.

Off you go to Steph :)

GOOD LUCK!

Just before you pop off to see what the lovely Nikky has in store for you. I wanted to share my layout with you. It was so hard to choose from all the delicious colours from the Pan Pastel range so we decided that we would all choose a palette from design-seeds.com. The brief was that we had to step away from our 'comfy' colours!!
Well, if ever this was a challenge!!!! I chose colours out of my comfort zone and here is what I created:

I used a chevron stencil and used Permanent Red, Orange, phthalocyanine Blue, Rich Gold, Turquoise,  Magenta and Phthalo Green with the small applicator. I fixed the pastels with a quick spray of hairspray and created the rest.

Thanks for stopping by, now head on back to Scrap365 HQ blog! Good luck :D

Scrap365 Autumn Blog Hop!!

It's a beautiful autumn morning here in Derby, England (this is a scheduled post, but I am awake and I checked....car is frozen but the sun is peeking through the clouds) but it's cold....so make yourself a hot drink and have some FUN with us on this AUTUMN BLOG HOP!! I am Natalie and i like to make things with paper and ink :)

If you have just joined the hop, then off you go back to the beginning:

I love Autumn! For us it's a time to explore the woods and hunt for chestnuts or just get out in the crisp air for an adventure that makes us smile!

A little page using Sarah Hurley Chevron Basics and Documented 365 Kits!

And of course some ink! It wouldn't be the same without ink and i am IN LOVE with this cabbage flower stamp from Jenni Bowlin!

The inside. Some Sodalicious stamps and random mini alphas.

This was 2 years ago when Mr T was too scared to climb up a tree stump and jump off!! These days he can climb up a 30ft climbing wall and has come so far....so i made a page remembering how brave he was that day in the woods!

The challenge was to use the mood board and show us how you use your chipboard.
I like to mix mine up - use naked chipboard and chalked chipboard.
The mint green rise I made myself.

CSI

I won stuff!!!!! Wow :-) here's my winning layout:

Lemon Owl papers and a picture of me as a child. Yay!

The journaling is written on tags hidden  behind the photo :)

Loving getting the chance to be creative again :D

Scrappy fun!

The heatwave is truly over and it ended with a lovely trip to the zoo! It's rained for the past few days so i have decided to create a page for CSI and Merly Impressions summer challenges. I got messy - with modelling paste, paint (lots of paint), inks, distress inks, stamps, doodles and Lemon Owl - Around The Corner Collection....oh it's yummy! And there is a silly playing card from Paperchase in there too!

 And some close ups:

close up of journaling, stamps, splats, doodles and modelling paste.

More stamping with stamps from Stromsvigt and Banana Frog and masking using Sarah Hurley Stencils.

Paints splots. There must be paint splots! :)

A close up of the main design: peek a boo photo out of the window, hand paperclip, wooden arrow and heart from Sarah Hurley, washi tapes, frames and peg :)

Loads of fun was had making this - mojo is coming back.

Thanks for visiting! : - )

Soooo excited!!!!!

I am Natalie Jane and am absolutely ecstatic to be guesting with We R Memory Keepers this month. Welcome to my blog :-)

Here’s a little about me just incase you missed that bit ;) :)

Am a 31yrold mother of 1…..and maid, cleaner, cook, lecturer, teacher, fun-pal. By day, I am a full-time Chemistry Teacher and by eve I can be found in my study creating, reading, or tidying the never-ending mess. I live in England and spend most of that wishing I could move to my homeland of Scotland.

I was introduced to scrapbooking in 2006 then it became a full on obsession (read Hobby) in 2009. I find it cathartic. You can currently find me in Scrap365 Magazine, Sarah Hurley Designs and my challenge blog – Punky Scraps (www.punkyscraps.blogspot.com)

I love colour so this particular collection was lovely to work with, so lovely, in fact, I made three projects. (See my blog for details of them).

I wanted to use all the papers and so I cut out squares of each paper. I mounted some squares and used the others to create windows. I accented the windows with faux-stitching to make them stand out. Used the cardstock chipboard as an embellishment for the title.

6_17_happydayWRMKgroovy

I like to cut out shapes to add to a cluster of embellishments and We R Memory Keepers Feelin’ Groovy paper was perfect for that.

6_17_closeup

Close up! Love clustering bits together! This twine looking stuff is paper twine from the pound shop!

6_17_brave close up

Flair is from Ormolu!

6_17_DSCN0765

Loved these colours that much I made a card!! Used distress inks to make the yellow splats :)

6_17_cardWRMKgroovy

Another layout using acrylic inks and paints and of course stencils!

The chipboard stickers I cut up to give a little more texture.

Thanks for reading and I've loved working with this collection!!
