Cardz TV Design Team Challenge #1

Happy Friday!!
Welcome to the first Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge!!!!!  This week we are creating cards that's "Just My Style". One of my favorite things to do are card folds, I love finding or creating different folds, I try to keep everything clean and simple, but this one has a little bit more.

On one of the blogs I follow Crafting with Katie she has a tutorial on how to make this tri-fold card using your gypsy, since I do not have the E2 which has a cartridge for this particular fold, I wanted to try it her way. I do have to say, she did a wonderful job on creating the base. Of course I had to make it my own. So here is what I came up with, I hope you enjoy it!

Products used:

Stamped Sentiment: Cardz TV
Papers:  Coordinations, Recollections DCWV, Creative Memories and Walmart White Card Stock
Twine: We R Memory Keepers
Button: Walmart Dollar Bin
Glitter Glue: Martha Stewart
Adhesives: ATG and Zig 2 way glue

Now head on over to Cardz TV to check out the other creations the Design Team made and enter the challenge! You will have until Sunday night 11/20/11 to create your card. This only gives you 2 1/2 days....better get started, make sure you invite your friends to join in on the fun!!!

Here is the prize that's up for grabs:

ColourQ/Alphabet Challenge/CREATIVE INSPIRATION/Paper Playtime/Party Time Tuesdays

Hi everyone,

Just want to say welcome to all my new followers and say thanks so much for following my blog, I really appreciate it, more than you know!

Today I am entering a few challenges. First let me tell you about this card, my best blogging friend Gloria at Girlia's Cards made this card that I absolutely love... So I scraplifted it, but wanted to make sure I could enter it into some challenges. She did such a great job on it, so you have to check it out here. I didn't have the same carts and punch that she had, but found similar things to use. I changed some things to go with all these challenges, but the theme of the card is there. Here is my take on her card, I hope you enjoy it! Oh by the way, did I tell you I love her card?

Bitten by the Bug 2/CARDZ TV

Hello everyone,

Another challenge, what would my blog be without challenges?? I am entering 2 this time, I will have the criteria underneath with the links to the blogs if you would like to play along.

I made this card using 3 carts, Don Juan, Hello Kitty, and the Everyday Paper Dolls, I embossed the tree with Swiss Dots and used copic markers as lights. I Think it turned out OK.

Bitten by the Bug 2:

I hope everyone had a nice holiday yesterday.

You asked for it, so you get it. We had several readers ask us to use the Going Places cart. I couldn't decide which cut to use so I handed the handbook over to my 6 year old daughter. She chose the cat and dog cut. Of course she did.

I like these cuts. They're simple and quick and can be decorated easily.

I know you'll love what the designers have done with these cuts.

Please let us know in the comment section what carts you'd like to see us work with. We try to do Reader's Choice the first week of the month.

Also, don't forget to play along. Don't be shy! If you don't have the Going Places cart, use a dog or cat from any other cart. Link us up using McKlinky below so we can see your work and leave comments on it.

CARDZ TV:

For Christmas in July challenge # 1, make a Christmas card using Pink, green, red, white and black only. Post your name and a link to your card in the comment section below this video, by midnight EST, Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Only one entry per person please! The winner will be announced Thursday, July 8, 2010, and receive a Cricut "Snow Friends" cartridge. I can't wait to see your Christmas cards! Thanks for playing our first Christmas in July challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!

My Creative Time! Episode 46/Paper Cutz Challenge

Hi everyone,

Here is a project I made for 2 challenges, My Creative time #46. It has to be an animal theme and original. The cart she based it on is Animal Kingdom, I don't have that cart, so I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Create a Critter for the monkeys and the Don Juan for Lettering.

The Paper Cutz Challenge had to be a vacation theme with a vehicle. RV, Car etc...

I hope you enjoy it, have a blessed day!

I was just informed by Miss Emma that my comment section was not working... hopefully everything is set now, if not could someone please let me know through my email: mzcherub2009@att.net I would really appreciate it.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd get another challenge in, this one is for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. You have to create a project for a baby shower, invitation, etc... Well it just so happened that I just finished creating a scrapbook as a baby shower gift for my new great nephew, Jayce. Here is a couple of layouts, and it fits in well with the challenge.

Jayce's scrapbook was based on Nursery Rhymes and this layout is Jack and Jill. I didn't have a cart with complete bunny on it so I improvised. The bunny rabbits on the layouts are a cross between the doodle charms mouse and bunny head, the bucket/pail is from that same cart. The water is a flower from the Home Decor, lettering is from Don Juan. Here is how it turned out, I hope you enjoy it.

Have a blessed day!

Father's Day Challenge and Cricut Expressions Giveaway!!

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend?? I have been really busy this week finishing some scrapbooks I was making for a friend and a family member. I think they turned out alright.

Now to the MPS Father's Day Challenge. "Arrested" I just purchased the Everyday Paper Dolls Cart today from Biglot for $25.00, for those of you who have a Biglot, go check them out on tomorrow, it's the last day!

I think this is a perfect Card for Father's Day, they need a little R & R sometime.
I cut the little lady at 3 3/4 inches, the cloud at 1 3/4 along with the grass. The car was cut at 2 3/4 and the road at 2 1/4 inches. All of these cuts came from the Everyday Paper Dolls.

The lettering came from the Don Juan Cart, "arrested" is cut at 3/4, "lack of and R & R" are cut at an inch.

I also used the Forever Young cart for her earrings, I am sorry I don't remember what I cut them at. Most of the card stock I used came from scraps. Although the car and shoes are made with the DCWV flower shower spring pack (glitter). I am trying to get a little better at using recipes, please forgive if it seems jumbled a bit.

I hope you enjoy the card, have a blessed day!

It's the Turtle In Me!

Hi everyone, thanks for following my blog, I really appreciate it and please do me a favor and tell some of your friends.

I haven't posted anything in a few days and thought I would post this card my best friend asked me to make for her mother...her mom really like turtles so I used my new Create a Critter and Don Juan carts, I thought the card turned out really cute. The saying that I have on it is; Sorry "I'm Late, It's the turtle in me, Happy Mothers' Day!" My husband helped me with the quote, thought it fit the card...turtles move very slow...too cute. I hope you enjoy the Card!!
