SPOOKY STAMP CAMP, Along Came a Spider...

These are projects from my Spooky Stamp Camp.  Don't they just put you in the Halloween mood?  Project #2 is a remake of a project I made last summer and posted in October 2009:  Sweet Treat Spider Ornament.  When I saw the new Spider Web Embossing Folder in the Holiday Mini Catalog, I just knew I had to use it to redo this cute little treat for you.  After finishing it, I realized that little spider looks like he came to visit from Virginia Tech!  Maybe they need a new mascot?  :D

CHRISTMAS CLUB CLASS #2, Happy Holidays Snowglobe...

Today is a sad day. :(  I had a minor disaster.  Don't worry - no one hurt or ill!  But one of the shelves in my china cabinet broke sending all my Longaberger dishes tumbling to the floor.  Almost all were made in America (little of the pottery is now) and I had full color sets with some of the colors and many of the pieces no longer available.  I LOVE my Longaberger pottery!  Even worse (according to hubby) is that it damaged our fairly new hardwood floor.   And I am so sad now...  I know they are just things and far worse happens in life.  I count my blessings every day.  But I am having a little bit of a pity party for myself today...

Enough of that!  On with the cards, right?  This is the third card from my Christmas Cards #2 Class.  In the Holiday Mini, there is a really cute Sweet Snowglobe stamp that didn't make the short list for my first budgeted Holiday Mini purchase.  But I really wanted to make a snowglobe with the Sweet Treat Cup, so I made my own!  I stamped the snowman tag from Tags til Christmas without the to and from colored, added the cup and punched a little stand from the XL Tag punch.  VoilĂ  - instant snowglobe!  Enjoy!

    REINDEER SWEET TREAT ORNAMENT...
Still trying to get in the groove after all the outages...  And it's still raining - 4 days and counting!  Luckily, I am overwhelmed with things to do inside, so as long as I have my utilities, I'm okay!  :)

Today was my Christmas Punch Class.  This is the first project we did.  It is a combination of Big Shot die cuts and punches, but I didn't have enough time to fit in a Big Shot class this month with the holiday, so I added it to the Punch class.  The antlers (Decorative Accents Die), the ribbon, the ears (Wide Ovals) and the Sweet Treat Cup go between the two Ovals from the Oval Scalloped Frame Die.  Hope you enjoy the project!

    CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS, Card #2...
Long day!  First, church and lots of chores.  Then off to my WOW dinner with my upline...  more on that tomorrow, including pictures!

For now, here is card #2 from my latest Christmas Card Class. This was one we did at my Pampered Stamper Weekend in August.  It is a little bigger than A2 size and will not fit in a standard envelope, but with the Sweet Center cups you are not usually using one anyway.  And it was too cute to sacrifice.  :-D

      • Whisper White CS, 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”

    SWEET TREAT SPIDER ORNAMENT...
    Countdown to Halloween Project #15

I did this project on my Pampered Stampers Weekend and after several requests, I have decided to share it all with you.  I don't usually use a retired stamp set in projects I show on my blog, but this one is just so cute.  Plus, I need all the Halloween projects I can get to reach my 31 Countdown to Halloween projects, so I am cheating a bit.  However, the Spider Web would not be difficult to draw with the White Signo Gel Pen and a ruler, so you could still replicate the project.  The tag is free floating and not adhered to the card.  Enjoy!

    SWEET CENTER SPIDER SUPPLIES:
    • Card stock – Basic Black, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Green Galore, Only Orange
    • Stamps – Sweet Centers, Web Wishes (retired)
    • Ink – Basic Black Classic, Whisper White Craft
    • Punches – 1¼” Circle, 1½” Circle, 1¾” Circle, Scallop Circle, Photo Corners, Horizontal Slot
    • Ribbon – Basic Black ¼” Grosgrain
    • Adhesives – Sticky Strip, Snail, Mini Glue Dots

    SWEET CENTERS HALLOWEEN POPS...
    Countdown to Halloween Project #10

Okay, here is the last 3D treat project from my Halloween Treats Stamp Camp.  Tomorrow will be the final item which was a card.  I just LOVE these Sweet Center Stamps!  They are so much fun and very easy to make.

    SWEET CENTER POPS SUPPLIES:
    • Cardstock – Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
    • Stamps – Sweet Centers
    • Ink – Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie
    • Punches – 1¾” Circle, 1½” Circle
    • Adhesives – Sticky Strip , glue dots
    • Accessories – Sweet Treat Cups, Long Lollipop Sticks, Rainbow Nerds (I used a theater-size box)
When punching the Sweet Centers image, first punch out the EEK portion with the 1½” Circle Punch, so that you can use it on the lollipop stick or for another project.  Then punch again with the 1¾” Circle Punch, being careful to center it over the colored part so that you do not cut out the words.

TECHNIQUE THURSDAY, Sponging Landscapes & Faux Clouds...
Tonight I had my Technique Thursday Class.  We did two techniques this week, Sponged Landscapes and Faux Clouds.  Next week we will do Faux Woodgrain.  My ladies are eager to fill their Technique Books and learn the basics and more!  :)

We did the two technique pages and then combined them for one card.  We had two card options.  One with the Sweet Center Cups and the other with a punch balloon top, so that they could put the card in their albums.  This is the technique pages and the card for the album:

This is how we put them in the album (sorry - the pages sag when upright for photographing):

Here are pictures of the individual cards:

Up and Away Balloon and Sweet Center Cards:
    • Stamps – Sweet Centers, Sock Monkey (sentiment)
    • Card stock – Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
    • Ink – Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Melon Mambo, Markers (Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Rich Razzleberry,  Basic Black)
    • Ribbon – Melon Mambo 1/2" Polka- Dot Grosgrain
    • Accessories – Sweet Treat Cups, Stampin' Dimensionals
    • Punches – Modern Label, Word Window, 1 3/4" Circle, Large Oval
For the Balloon Punch, I have seen this a couple of other places (no idea who the original poster was) and I'm not sure how they did theirs, but this is how I did mine:
    1. Punch five 1 3/4" circles.  I used one of each of the colors used in my balloon basket.
    2. Layer them going from the outsides to the middle with the middle circle being on top.  I did mine by putting color 2 (from left to right) on color 1, then color 4 on color 5.  Then I put color 3 on top of  color 2 and added the color 4/5 combo under the right side of color 3.   Does that make sense????  Or have I confused you even further?
    3. Add a large oval punch to the middle of that top circle.
    4. Put Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of your balloon and add to the card lining it up over your balloon basket stamp.  I extended the middle lines of the basket up with a marker to get a "taller" look.
Haven't attended a Technique Class yet?  What are you waiting for?  Come and join us for a fun time and great techniques!  Here is a glimpse of what you have been missing:

Coming up next Thursday is our Faux Woodgrain Technique.  Don't miss out!  Beginners are welcome and when you bring an adult friend to attend class with you, you get a FREE gift!  Email me or check out the details on my Stampin' Up! Demo Events page.
