Not sure when this actually happened (and I'd like to know so I can rewind time and BE RIGHT THERE) but yesterday Tahmoh Penikett tweeted this picture of his Battlestar Galactica reunion with Michael Trucco, Jamie Bamber, and James Callis! This makes me miss that show so much. Or at least it makes me miss the locker-room scenes of that show so much. What, they couldn't have their reunion at the baths? Selfish.

A happy 40th birthday today to Tahmoh Penikett, of Battlestar Galactica and Dollhouse fame. Or you know, approximate fame. He's more famous than me anyway, by great big leaps and bounds!

These gifs are from some 2014 show called Star-Crossed that was on The CW; it seems to have only lasted one season - I have zero recollection of it even being a thing. But at one point Tahmoh was there and he wrestled with half-naked with another dude, so it did its job while it was around. Anybody see or remember it? The entire thing appears to be on Amazon Instant so y'all go to town. Have a Tahmoh party today!

First off, how did I now know until right now that our Firefly boyfriend Sean Maher has got an Instagram account? Besides the fact that I'm a clueless ass, of course. Immediate follow! Second off, two months ago Sean posted a picture from the set of Looking. Looking! Sean Maher was on the set of Looking! He's not listed on IMDb but if Sean Maher shows up on Looking I am going to be very very excited. Speaking of exciting...

... look it's Sean & Casper Van Dien sitting very very close to one another. Sean also posted this picture; it's from the set of something called ISRA-88, a science-fiction movie, one which will never ever live up to all the fantasies that picture's got coursing through my brain right now. And speaking of fantasies...

10 Off My Head - Joss' Birthday Beefcake

It should probably have been a national holiday - writer/director/puny-god Joss Whedon is turning 50 today! Don't feel bad for him that it wasn't a national holiday though, since he's off filming the second Avengers movie and Chris Hemsworth is probably popping out of a cake for him (speaking of beef cake - ha ha get it?) while Chris Evans and Aaron Johnson hold him down and tickle him... (yes my image of the Avengers set is akin to a teenage boy's fantasy of a girl's slumber party; what of it?). But seriously speaking of beefcake Joss has given us so much to appreciate over the years. It seems to have gone hand in hand with his feminist notions of turning a little blond girl nobody was taking seriously into an indestructible powerhouse - he's never had any trouble with turning the male gaze back upon itself, with sexy results. Birthday Birthday Birthday Birthday

I am arbitrarily limiting myself to four, my apologies to Princess Buttercup and John Gavin (mmm John Gavin in Psycho), but today's a full day of birthdays! Wombs be cracking open like gangbusters! Here are four people I'd like to wish a happy birthday, is my point.

Happy 30, Taylor Kitsch! For obvious reasons. I mean, this is my ninth post labeled Taylor Kitsch and I've never even seen him act, at all, in anything, ever. That's surely change once Pixar's John Carter movie comes out, which dear god that thing's taking forever. The copies of the books from the series that I've recently read were still trees when this movie got announced. Anyway now that I've read the first two books in the series (and will probably start the third any day now) I can say I've got real honest-to-goodness enthusiasm based off of something other than Taylor's abs for the movie. Not that the ab-excitements lessened. In the books John Carter is basically naked the whole time! Remain true to your source material, Pixar, or else!

Happy 31, Katee Sackhoff! I'm so happy it's your birthday so I have this excuse to post this picture you tweeted of yourself with a shirtless Tahmoh Penikett the other day. I mean, also because I can mention you, and how awesome you are. And how I wish you were doing something I could watch right now. I miss you. You should be a big star, man. But also let's be honest because goddamn Tahmoh.

What a coincidence! I was just looking at these pictures of Jamie Bamber and his glorious tank-top on his new show Outcasts over on the Beeb (prev post) when I see this news at EW, that he's reuniting with Battlestar's creator Ron Moore to do a show here in the US! It's called 17th Precinct and it's a cop show with a sci-fi spin, as they put it. Because the world needs another cop show, even another one with a sci-fi spin.


No, no complaints! Because this will be a cop show with a sci-fi spin that will also have Jamie Bamber and Jamie Bamber has what might be the world's most perfect body and presumably he will be forced to show it off, and that is enough. Maybe BSG-mate Tahmoh Penikett can join him and they can take showers together for forty-five minutes, end show. Why isn't anyone paying me for these ideas? They're gold!

Last Night I Finally Got Around...

... to seeing the last aired episode of Dollhouse,
in case anybody gots anything to say about it.

How much did it feel like a final episode though? A friend of mine who I talked to about the episode before I watched it expressed surprise that there was another episode coming and now, after having watched it myself, I understand what she meant. But I see the need to address the Epitaph future, which is where we're headed, obviously. I gotta go watch Epitaph One this week to refresh my brain.


As for this past episode, I spent 50% of the episode screaming that Amy Acker should be a star and how incredible she is, and the other 50% screaming that Enver is God (the triumphant return of his Topher impression!). So the usual. Oh and another 50% drooling over Olivia's every withering glance, naturally.

The Time For Tricking Has Come At Last

Impossible to believe, but Michael Dougherty's loooooooong delayed Trick 'r Treat actually really for real comes out on DVD tomorrow, and Netflix has a copy on the way to me right now and I might just lock myself up in a padded cell like Clear Rivers did to keep myself safe because I'm afraid there's a hex or curse of some sort on the possibility of me seeing this movie and I might not make it to tomorrow night. I've been posting on this film since early 2007. It doesn't seem possible that I'll see it before the week is out. Cue an airplane crashing through my window in 3...2...

It says a lot that from this gallery of promo pictures for Dollhouse's second season that I skipped right past the picture of Tahmoh for this pair o' pics of Enver Gjokaj (aka Victor), no? Who'd have thunk it? I hope that Tahmoh (not to mention Miss Dushku) gets a little less wooden this time around, cuz for right now it's all about the Enver and he's not the focus nearly often enough. Tahmoh Takes It Off For His Art

There are a lot of reasons to complain about the world we live in today. Lord knows I've done my share (ha ha ha, if "my share" equals "the shares of a hundred Somalian refugee families" then yes, that's the truth). Anyway, one (unsurprising, you will soon see) thing I like about this here New World Order we're living in today is that it's generally become accepted that if you've hired an actor like, say, Tahmoh Penikett, for your SyFy (ugh) miniseries, then you're gonna just go ahead and release pictures of Tahmoh half-naked to sell your project as soon as you can get them out there.
