I... have very little to say of substance right now. The world is very distracting! Thankfully KJ Apa grew out his chest hair and invited a photographer from Flaunt magazine over to document it so I don't need to say anything. Although a note of side-business -- I'm off for the rest of the week for virtual Sundancing (i.e. I'll be cramming as many movies into my eye-holes as is possibly over five days) so it will probably be pretty quiet round these parts. If and when more Sundance reviews start piling up at Pajiba (my first one went up earlier this afternoon) I'll try to link to them here but I might literally be too busy watching movies. I have a lot to watch! Dozens! So keep your eye on the Bluesky (I'm fully done with Twitter in case you missed that overdue news) or until I'm back proper-like Monday you'll have to make due with KJ (poor dears) after the jump...

I Quit Smoking 16 Years Ago Today

Well, here we are. My nicotine cessation can officially drive a car in the United States now. Today marks sixteen years since I touched a dirty filthy cigarette and sixteen years of me doing these posts of famous men looking hot as shit while smoking dirty filthy cigarettes. I regret nothing! I admit remain surprised that I can continue to find enough photos to fill up these posts, but I hear smoking has become cool with the kids again? I don't recommend it obviously, but I also can't lie...

Gavin Leatherwood from Sabrina (see above) and KJ Apa from Riverdale (see below) were both trying to make us feel funny in our downstairs places this past weekend on their respective Instas, and... well quite frankly they both succeeded. Even though I have never watched Riverdale I know enough about Riverdale to know that whatever the hell the context of this promo photo of the show's leading man KJ Apa in tighty-whities is (via) it's got to be utterly ridiculous -- that's how the show rolls. And lord knows I have no problem with ridiculous in general, but especially when it results in KJ Apa in tighty-whities. No problems at all over here! Let's hope we get more of this when this episode actually airs, which I will dutifully share if/when we do.

I have no idea how there could possibly be more photos left from KJ Apa's photoshoot for Behind the Blinds magazine that I haven't previously posted in my five previous -- yes five! -- posts on the subject. (See the previous posts here, and here, and here, and here, and here.) And yet the photographer pulled out five more, perhaps from the folds of his sofa, and posted them on Instagram this morning. And I'm well passed the point where I can stop sharing them -- not until the collection's complete! First things first, a new pair of photos from KJ Apa's neverending Behind the Blinds magazine photoshoot arrived while I was "elsewhere" these past few days -- see the previous shots here, and here, and here. But as to that "elsewhere" I just mentioned, an update on what I told you Monday: I'll be blogging properly again today as I'm back at my desk after a few days spent isolating at home with my COVID-stricken lover -- I am negative and inexplicably remained so; he is doing better today, he says, via the telephone from the other room where I haven't seen him for three days. Sigh. This whole business sucks, y'all. Anyway I really appreciated your messages of well-wishes and good health and I guess so did he (I technically forgot to ask him that, on the telephone from the other room where I haven't seen him for three days). I almost did a post wishing Hollywood actor Jake Picking (he played Rock Hudson on that series) a happy birthday on Wednesday, but since I hadn't seen this photo here that his good buddy KJ Apa posted on Instagram at that point that post would have turned out to be a half-assed shame in retrospect and I am glad that I waited! It took two excruciating days but Lacoste has finally revealed a couple of the photos from the KJ Apa underwear campaign that the Riverdale actor teased on Wednesday -- please don't think I am complaining but I hate (okay yes I am complaining) those weird smooth cup things that underwear brands insist on making their models wear, don't you? I Quit Smoking Thirteen Years Ago Today

Lucky thirteen, y'all! That's how that thing works, right? Well maybe I'm no numerologist but what I do know is I tossed cigarettes in the trash on May 5th 2008 and I ain't never been back, and that's a thing I celebrate here on MNPP every single year every May 5th by posting enormous galleries of extremely attractive actors doing the exact thing that I no longer do. It keeps me honest.

Well if not honest... it keeps me something, anyway. Last year, as with many aspects of last year, we hit a snag though -- because I was quarantined at home over this anniversary I'd been separated from the big folder of photos that I'd keep gathering up to post for 2020. And so last year's post was admittedly a bit slack. Well...

... this year's post makes up for it, and it makes up for it then some. I've got all the photos I'd gathered for 2020 plus all the photos I've gathered in 2021, and it's gonna give y'all a hell of a nicotine buzz. If you don't die of cancer before you're finished with this post then I haven't done my job! I make light (get it) but seriously... don't smoke. You don't look at good as these guys do doing it, I promise you. Well unless you're actually KJ Apa reading this, in which case... call me, KJ Apa. You can blow smoke (or anything) on me any time.
