Are you Thomas Kretschmann? Can you please be Thomas Kretschmann? I need you to be Thomas Kretschmann, okay? You being Thomas Kretschmann helps me a lot towards feeling less fuzzy in the head about my desires to see Valkyrie.

See, I know that Thomas Kretschmann was an Olympic swimmer back in the day - it's one of my favorite things to think about, ever, actually - so it sorta makes sense that that would be him. He's playing a Nazi, there's a big swastika in the pool... I'm not totally randomly grabbing at straws here. And Thomas Kretschmann in swimming trunks makes things feel better.

Anyway, I talk a little more about the trailer for Valkyrie over at The Film Experience today. I don't know why I am so flummoxed by this movie. It's got me all bonkers with indecision though. Me? Bonkers? Never!

That's how long until the lights go dark and I fall under the spell of The Coen Bros latest, Burn After Reading. Whee! Will Brad Pitt split my sides with uncontrollable guffaws? I could use it right about now.

So over at The Film Experience today, I did a post semi-related to yesterday's Ways Not To Die... in that it's related to the same film, Dancer in the Dark. You should check it out. Lotsa musical goodness to be beheld and stuff. It's like, wow.

Did you read that last bit in Chris Walken's voice? For some reason my brain is translating things into Walken right now. It's... emphatic... with the pauses and the... starts and stops. You know... how he... will just start and spit things quick then and... it's all weird... and... strangely paced? Yeah... like that. Sigh.

I totally blew my blogging-wad all over The Film Experience today... that is, meaning to say, I spent all morning working on a post about Donnie Darko which you can read right here, at this link, this one right here. I spent all my energy on it, and now I am spent.
