Good Morning, Edward Bluemel

Well if you're reading this (and you also read my post last night) then you know -- I'm a fool! To be factual a lot of people who aren't reading this know I'm a fool as well but I'm talking to you now. Point being I jumped the gun last night thinking I might have today off -- nope, I'm here. But my loss is your gain because I'm now sitting here at my desk with literally nothing to do for the next eight or so hours except barf up my every whim onto this here website. Twas Eve where I first caught Eddy's eye -- and then twas Jane where I first caught Eddy's arse. (And what an arse it is.) And it's been love ever since. Happy almost holiday! Tomorrow is July 4th, meaning us loons here in the States deep-throat hot dogs to spite the Brits, or whatever -- and what better way to celebrate than by ogling a Brit whose hot dog... well you get the gist. These first few gifs aren't showing his face (in case you didn't notice that) but the ample bum you're seeing here is the ample bum of British actor Edward Bluemel...

... who you might remember from his stint of being adorable on Killing Eve -- I've posted about him a couple of times previously anyway, check those here. And the show these are from is called My Lady Jane which is on Prime and which appears to me to be an period romantic-comedy type thing that's attempting to ride the Birdgerton train -- is that right? Have I got it? Anyway yes it's really rather shocking that I'm giffing up this scene from the series before...

... I gif up the scene where Dominic Cooper (who is also on the show) gets his beautiful and long-time MNPP-beloved arse spanked. But sometimes you want to save things for a day when you really need them. Today what I need is Eddy Bluemel reenacting the scene of Nicholas Clay outdoor-showering in Lady Chatterly's Lover -- granted this one's not quite as explicit as that one, but what could be? Honestly only literal pornography could be, since that scene is so legendarily over-the-top. And it would be cruel to ask anyone to compete with Nicholas Clay anyway. Happy InDePlaidPants Day 2023!

This is one of our sillier traditions here at MNPP -- as if anything is done here with a straight face -- but for the past four years now, thanks to an off-hand comment from a reader, I have posted a gallery of actors wearing plaid pants a la this site's name and re-dubbed July 4th "InDePlaidPants Day." Because patriotism is stupid, but hot guys looking sharp is anything but. It's a smaller gallery than usual this year (and weirdly very black-and-white), but no less quality! Why Not Take a Fop Break

It's the 30th birthday of Killing Eve actor Edward Bluemel, and if you watched that show and weren't immediately drawn to his floppy hair and prominent thighs then you're made of stronger stuff than I. He was also in that Persuasion movie with Dakota Johnson more recently but all of you hated that so much I still haven't seen it! Shame on me. Edward Bluemel Six Times

The reviews were so bad that I haven't yet brought myself to watch the new Persuasion movie, despite it having such a me-cast -- Dakota Johnson! Henry Golding! Cosmo Jarvis! And this adorable boy here Edward Bluemel, who we were already plenty familiar with thanks to his previous roles on the shows Killing Eve and Sex Education -- indeed he's already gotten several posts here, up to and including a hefty gratuitous one of his own back in 2019. Pics of the Day

I have been keeping close tabs on 2022's adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion because hot damn do I love that cast, and today Netflix released the first three images of said beloveds -- above is Cosmo Jarvis playing Captain Frederick Wentworth, below is Henry Golding playing Mr. Elliott, and at this link where the photos came from is a look at our leading lady Dakota Johnson playing the one and only Anne. As previously mentioned I have no idea what that means, since I've never read Persuasion or seen a single film adaptation, but judging by the ways people seem real protective of this material I will go with "one and only." I guess we'll see! Other people I love in the cast -- Richard E. Grant and Killing Eve's Edward Bluemel, who's definitely gotten some attention here on the site in the past...

I needed a good veg-out after watching thirty-five movies at the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Netflix series Sex Education proved just the ticket this week... especially once I realized that current Killing Eve crush Edward Bluemel was also hanging around these parts. This brief shot of him in the eighth episode felt like the, uh, cherry on top. (See our great big Edward Bluemel post here.) Did any of you watch the show? You like, you like?

Who else is over the moon that we're getting lots more of Fiona Shaw on the second season of Killing Eve? More of Fiona Shaw is oxygen, sustenance, sexual gratification. On that last note...

... don't think I don't see you back there doing your typical un-shy crotch forward pose, Edward Bluemel. (See our big post on him here.) When are they gonna hook him and Sean Delaney up? Or would that be too much white-bread Brit-twink at one time? The Oxford Edition of crossing the streams?

Good Morning, Gratuitous Edward Bluemel

I don't want to say that every wide-jawed twink with floppy brown hair owes Timothée Chalamet a debt of gratitude in our current situation -- several hundred of them have Dunkirk to thank! -- but Edward Bluemel here, after staring at several dozen photographs of him, seems firmly ensconced in the Timmy Camp.

That didn't occur to me upon meeting him on Killing Eve this season, but then I spend most of my time staring at his crotch when he's on Killing Eve because clearly some sort of edict came down from upon high (aka Phoebe Waller Bridge) that the camera must stare directly at his crotch every time he's on-screen. It's very strange... and very appreciated.

Anyway Mr. Bluemel (follow him on Instagram here) is having a moment -- besides Eve he's also on Matthew Goode's witch show A Discovery of Witches, and he's on Netflix's Sex Education as well. I don't watch the former (should I?) and I've only watched two episodes of latter and keep forgetting to go back and watch the rest -- there's too much TV, dammit.

He was also kissing boys on some show called Halcyon, but I have never even heard of that one before. Anyway you'll see more of that kissing and more of him in general right here after the jump...
