Good Morning, World

I'm sure Wagner Moura's career is going to get a great big boost from this past awards season where he was deservedly nominated for his ace turn in The Secret Agent. (How incredibly handsome did he look at the Oscars this past weekend when he was presenting and he put on those glasses? I swooned.) He's already got seven titles in his "upcoming" projects including a remake of Abbas Kiarostami's masterpiece Taste of Cherry (from the director of Jauja!) and a Star Wars project (of course) -- I'm sure much-deserved bigger projects are in the works though. I'd love to see him reunite with Secret Agent director Kleber Mendonça Filho again. That said -- I've never yet watched Narcos, the show where he played drug kingpin Pablo Escabar seen above, and... that picture is making me think I really should watch Narcos. There's also the Boyd Holbrook and Pedro Pascal of it. Hrm. Thoughts? Also if you wanna give me your answers for a Narcos-themed "Do Dump or Marry?" in the comments, those three are ready and willing...

Do Dump or Marry: Heated Rivalry Eats Paris

Three of the four main cast-members of Heated Rivalry were dolled up at the Saint Laurent show in Paris today -- left to right that's Robbie G.K. (making a feast of those leather trousers), Connor Storrie, and François Arnaud, with Hudson Williams as the odd man not to be seen for this go. (Click the picture to embiggen.) And obviously threesomes of this sort...

... always lend themselves to our favorite game of "Do Dump or Marry" (known to many as "Fuck Marry Kill")! So now you take to the comments down below and tell us which one you'd want to spend a single night of unbridled passion with, which one you'd toss in the trash, and which one you'd choose for your life-long (tonsil) hockey partner. And try not to be influenced by the fact that Luca Guadagnino has obviously already made his choice:

Do Dump or Marry: Three Hot Gays

In honor of Russell Tovey's birthday today we will toss him into a heap with two of the internet's favorite homosexuals and force them to wrestle it out for our enjoyment. Our gay gladiators! He and Andrew Scott and Sexiest Man Alive Jonathan Bailey were all photographed at... oh I don't care, some party this week. I can't be bothered to look up what it was. But it seems the right moment to "Do Dump or Marry" the three of them. Do do that in the comments and also wish a Happy birthday to Mr. Tovey! From you and from me and more importantly (like way more importantly) from these two:

Do Dump or Marry: The Running Men

I'm not being show-offy when I tell you that I'm leaving the MNPP HQ desk early this evening so I can run off (get it) to see Edgar Wright's The Running Man remake (now you do) -- I am merely stating a fact, a statement of truth. This is just what is going to happen. I know how crushed this makes you many Schwarzenegger-heads and I apologize. Y'all can see it Friday! If we make it to Friday. Who knows. We all might be performing in life-or-death game shows by then the way things are going. But until then let's play a life-or-death game of our own by "Do Dump or Marry"ing the three hunks at the heart of Wright's re-do who stunned on the red carpet premiere as seen in these photos -- that'd be Colman Domingo, Lee Pace, Lee Pace's Mustache, and Glen Powell. Now [in my best Richard Dawson voice]  RUN... to the comments and choose! (pics via)

Do Dump or Marry: The New Beatles

Last night at CinemaCon Sam Mendes unveiled the four actors he's cast to play The Beatles in four yes four seperate movies, each one focusing on a single member -- there's Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, and Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney. Love all these actors -- you'll see Quinn in Warfare soon enough but that was when I finally decided I am a fan of him -- but as I've probably said on this site a few times over the past twenty years I just do not give a shit about The Beatles. And I don't say that to posture myself as Too Cool or above anything; I recognize that they were an earthquake in music and they have some perfectly good songs but JFC I cannot be bothered. Put their music catalogue or Radiohead's in front of me and I think you can guess where I'll wander. Anyway this will probably turn out to be an interesting expiriment -- telling their story from each point of view -- so if for no other reason we'll be watching. But for right now I invite you to "Do Dump or Marry" these four actors (and as always when there's four feel free to double up on one of those choices) in the comments! (And "Do" = spend one night with; "Dump" = spend zero nights with, and "Marry" equals "spend all the nights with" of course.)

Do Dump or Marry: The Nosfera-Dudes

Director Robert Eggers' magnificent new take on Nosferatu premiered in Los Angeles last evening and all the goth hotties were on hand (including that other Skarsgard buddying up to his Northman director). But most importantly these three hunks knew well enough to get some photos together at the after-party, because they are smart and kind. And if you're white-guy-blind they are Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. And even if the movie isn't out for a couple of weeks this still seems like a good moment since we have them here to ask our perrenial "Do Dump or Marry" query! Pick one actor to have a single night of passionate embrace with, one actor to drive a stake through the center of, and one to swap blood with to share a darkly romantic eternity together -- in the comments please and thanks! (And then go read my review of the movie over at Pajiba, also please and thank you.) Nosferatu hits theaters on Christmas Day! And yes even better it is in text a Christmas movie! New yule classic y'all!

Do Dump or Marry: Boys Being Boys

This photo of actors Kit Connor, Charles Melton and Noah Centineo appeared over the weekend (click to embiggen) and it seems to me like a nice opportunity for us to play a quick round of "Do Dump or Marry" with it! So let us do that now.

Tell me in the comments which actor you'd spend a single torrid night with (Do), toss in the trash like so much trash (Dump), or wed in official matrimony forever and ever (Marry).

Double Do, Dump or Marry: All of Us Travelers

And speaking of Fellow Travelers did y'all see the photo that went viral over the weekend of its leading men Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey posing with the leading men of the brilliant film All of Us Strangers, meaning Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal? Obviously a lot of gay brains exploded at this crossing-of-the-streams, including those of the person typing before you. And it only seems right to inject this photo into our "Do Dump or Marry" template, wherein you take to the comments and tell me which one you'd have sex with once (Do), which one you'd dump (Dump), and which one you'd marry (Marry). When there are four participants it does complicate things but y'all are creative -- meaning make your Do's threeways, obviously. Hit up the comments and share your answers! And I do have to add that there was an equally viral response meme that was as funny as the original photo was sexy...

Do Dump or Marry: 3 Wrestling Bros

This was a pretty obvious post for me to do two days ago when the photoshoot of The Iron Claw stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson dropped in EW -- the fact that I didn't do it then I am blaming on Jeremy Allen White's abs. I was distracted. (See the entire photo-shoot here.) The Iron Claw, which was directed by the great Sean Durkin of Martha Marcy May Marlene fame, tells the infamous true-life story of the Von Erich pro-wrestling family -- I posted the trailer right here; it's out on December 22nd. All that said I suppose that leaves the obvious I missed two days ago -- with  Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson standing in front of you which one would you throw against the ropes for a single spectacular night of passion (do), which would you toss out of the ring altogether (dump), and which would you slap a big belt on and strap yourself to forever (marry)? Answer in the comments!

Pic of the Day

Hey look it's the hot boys of Nosferatu! Not sure who the dude in the Navy cap is but working right to left that Nicky Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and the Skarsgards Bill and Gustaf -- now shooting of course is Robert Eggers' Nosferatu re-do starring all of them but Gustaf (as far as we know - he isn't listed on the cast list right now anyway). Bill is the vampire of course, because of course he is. While Nicky is probably the Harker role and who knows about Aaron. Personally I'm hoping he's one of their butt boys. Come on, Robert! You owe us after not a single one of the Vikings diddled each other in The Northman. Anyway if we zoom in on the photo I have got to ask...

... Do, Dump or Marry?

Do Dump Or Marry: The Top Gun Boys

Popping in over the holiday weekend because this set photo from the Top Gun sequel demanded it -- that's Miles Teller, Glen Powell, and Jay Ellis posing their studly stuff from the immediately... well it might be early to say "iconic" so let's say revered, the immediately revered beach football scene. (Iconic.) I might have had a lot of mixed feelings on the movie (read them here) but this scene went into the "strictly positive" column, that's for certain. You can click that image and make it much bigger, but as you do that why not also hit up the comments below and give me a round of the ol' "Do Dump or Marry" for them three fellas? That's where you pick one fella to have one single solitary boink-fest with (Do), where you pick a different fella to pop out the airlock like poor ol' Goose (RIP Goose) had done to him back in the day (Dump), and one fella that you'd unite in holy forever matrimony with, at least until the Supreme Court outlaws gay marriage again (Marry). Have at it and happy Memorial Day, horndogs!

Screw Suicide & Espouse

A new trailer for James Gunn's anti-hero sequel The Suicide Squad has arrived today -- introduced by adorable Jai Courtney! -- and the above shot from the trailer has presented us with a wonderful opportunity. To "Do Dump or Marry" Joel Kinnaman, Idris Elba, and John Cena, of course. The full trailer is just below -- I hope they right the wrongs of the first terrible film -- so watch that and then hit up the comments and tell me which of those three you'd "Do" and which you'd "Dump' and which you'd "Marry" -- it's easy! Give it a try!

Do Dump or Marry: La Flamme Bunch

This month's issue of GQ France has three hot young things on it (via) but I'll be honest -- I only know two. Above on the left is Pierre Niney, and we know him -- we have had a crush on his insanely gallic super-features ever since Francios Ozon's 2016 film Frantz. He even has a tag here on this site! And then in the middle os the above photo is actor François Civil, and he might not have a tag yet here on MNPP but we've posted about him enough he probably should -- I think the first time I noticed him would have been either in 2014's Frank opposite Michael Fassbender or the (kind of terrific) found-footage horror flick As Above So Below that same year.

So the person I am unfamiliar with on the GQ cover is the dude on the right -- his name is Jonathan Cohen and he has the most credits of the three, but I don't think many of them have made their way out of France? The only movie's he's done that I have seen is White as Snow, the fairy-tale riff that had Isabelle Huppert playing a variation on the Evil Queen, but 1) that movie wasn't great and 2) Angela Bassett was sitting a couple seats away from me at the Tribeca screening where I saw it and I ended up paying more attention to her than I did the movie. Sorry, Mr. Jonathan Cohen!

I don't have access to the GQ interview with these three as to why they're being photographed together, but the blurb alongside where I got these photos says they are longtime friends, and their IMDb pages tell me they have also all worked on a French TV series called La Flamme, which appears to be a satirical take on The Bachelor; indeed Cohen himself appears to be the lead of that series. Any of my French readers have more information? Until then it's been awhile since I did a "Do Dump or Marry" post -- where I ask y'all to pick one person to "Do" (have one night of sex with), "Dump" (like how it sounds), and "Marry" (live with forever and ever, amen) -- and hey it's three people! That makes it easy! So tell me in the comments your answer...

Do Dump or Marry: Four Miami Men

First things immediately, a happy birthday to One Night in Miami director and queen-since-way-back Regina King today -- I love that her big movie is getting released on her birthday! Yes indeed One Night in Miami is now on Amazon Prime, watch it here -- this is the flick that imagines what a night in 1964 would have been like where Muhammed Ali (Eli Goree), Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge), and Sam Cooke (Leslie Odom Jr.), all met up in a Miami hotel-room to drink, chat, and blow our collective heads in the future with such a confluence.

You can watch the trailer here, although I recommend just watching the damn movie now that you can -- the four guys are great (Ben-Adir is best in show for me, but most people seem to have a different fave) and the movie's got a lot of heart, passion, and thoughtfulness to recommend. It's also got, dare I say, just a lotta goddamned eye candy with these four actors.

Which brings me to the "Do Dump and Marry" portion of the post. We haven't done one of these in awhile and this movie clearly lends itself to the game, even if it does present the question of an Odd Man Out since there are four people and three slots (ha) they can fill. Those slots? "Do" means you spend one night with them. "Dump" means you do nothing with them. And "Marry" means you do everything thereafter with them. I'm going to leave it to your discretions with the extra name -- dump two people, fuck two people, have yourself a Mormon wedding, I don't care.

But here's one thing I do want -- I want two lists of answers. I want you to "Do Dump or Marry" the actors, meaning Goree, Hodge (more here), Ben-Adir, (more here) and Odom Jr. And THEN second I want you to "Do Dump or Marry" the characters, aka the real people, that they are playing. Meaning a second list where you choose between the boxer Ali, the revolutionary X, the singer Cooke, and the footballer Brown. Two lists! Four people! Three slots! Make your hay in the comments of all this!

Do Dump or Mary: Little Men

.
The actor James Norton celebrated his 35th birthday this past Saturday and as he did I in turn stumbled upon the above image (via) of him alongside his Little Women co-stars (male edition) which had somehow escaped my eyeballs last fall when it was that movie that was ravaging us instead of a plague. Oh to be ravaged by a quaint Louisa May Alcott adaptation once more! Them were the days. Anyway I did a search through MNPP's archives, fully expecting I did one of these at the time, but I didn't? I did not? Which is insane. And so today in Norton's honor I will right that wrong -- I ask you to in the comments "Do, Dump or Marry" your picks between Mr. Norton (see more of him here), Monsieur Louis Garrel (see more of him here) and Sir Timothée Chalamet (see more of him here). Now make like a March Sister and have at it...

Do Dump or Marry: Three Invisible Fellas

.
One of the pleasant surprises of the many pleasant surprises contained in Leigh Whannell's terrific new Invisible Man movie out this weekend -- here's my review -- is the sheer bulk of man-candy on display opposite the ever-awesome Elisabeth Moss. Longtime MNPP love Oliver Jackson-Cohen is the titular villain of course, but there's also his brother played by New Zealand actor Michael Dorman (seen above rocking the stache) and of course Aldis Hodge, who's real close to becoming our 2020 everything.

It's a good crowd! That said (spoiler alert, I suppose) no, sadly nobody takes their clothes off in the film -- the writers went and found an annoying work-around for the usual strip naked for invisibility science...

... that we always look forward to with these flicks. How dare they! This doubting of science needs to be stopped already! It's gone mad! Anyway if Leigh Whannell isn't going to do it for us...

... I guess that's what I'm here for.
There's Michael Dorman, and here...

... are Oliver and Aldis. Now it's your turn: take to the comments and tell me which of these actors you'd have a single night of slippery invisible sex with, which of these actors you'd vanish into nothingness, and which you'd slip into eternal invisible matrimony beside. Answer in the comments!!! And here's a bonus question just for fun since today while looking him up I found the picture on the left on Dorman's Instagram...

Everybody's Altar Boy Jeremy Irvine

.
Jeremy Irvine really came super close to capturing the essence of my mood with that photo, although it could use just a hint more drool and panic. Note to self: Drool and Panic is the best autobiography title you've come up with yet. All the drool and panic aside I am only now a week late seeing the below photo of Jeremy hanging out in tuxedos with the dueling hot priests James Norton and Andrew Scott, which seems absurd...

... you'd think the second this photo was taken all of my limbs would have immediately fallen off my body or something equally appropriately momentous? I suppose it's for the best. I like having limbs. Anyway (yes I am reaching the goofy state of mind time of day, why do you ask) if y'all want to Do Dump or Marry this photo in the comments I wouldn't be against that necessary distraction...

Do Dump or Marry: Highways & Hemsworths

.
My first thought seeing this photo of Jake Gyllenhaal and Liam Hemsworth and Jared Leto at the gym with their (plenty sexy himself) trainer (via Jared's Instagram) was... well those thoughts aren't fit to publish in this family publication. My first thoughts would get me stoned to death in several countries. My second... well maybe my twelfth thought, after all of the filthy stuff... was that Jake is not short, but Liam is making him look like Princess Toadstool over there. I need to find myself standing next to Liam some time, is my point. We should also...

... note that exchange from the photo's comments, I think. It is notable. The pretzel emoji! Anyway if you're as thorough a librarian of these fellas filmographies as I am then you will recall that Jake & Jared go way way back, way back to the movie Highway from 2002. That's a thing we've covered a'plenty over the intervening decades...

... since we came into the new millenium hella high on Jared (thanks to our My So-Called Life love affair) and that obsession slowly transferred with the passage of time from the one to the other Highway star. Now I can't stand Leto, but I do thank him for his service in bringing us that photo up top. So now I ask y'all to tell me in the comments: Do dump or marry the three actors, please!

Do Dump or Marry: These Three Gentlemen

.
Besides the little bit I had to say this morning about the gay panic of it all I don't really have that much of an opinion on Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen out in theaters today -- for all of the screaming "cunts" and running and such it's a weirdly flat movie that thinks it's far more clever and way more funny than it ever actually is. I mean the entire thing leads to two third-act "reveals" that are both obvious from the furthest reaches of outer space ten minutes in, and it just sort of spins around them for two hours and then is over. But, just like Ritchie's similarly just-fine Man From UNCLE movie, it does have a great looking cast in great looking costumes and sometimes that can carry one through the patchier parts.

Which brings me to today's edition of our "Do Dump or Marry" series! Gentlemen stars Henry Golding (above), with Colin Farrell and Charlie Hunnam (below) -- you get one night with one (Do), a lifetime of nights with another (Marry) or zero zip nada nights with the last (Dump). So go'n give us your bloody answers in the comments, ya buncha geezahs!

Do Dump or Marry: Dirty Boys Edition

.
I have never seen a Fast Slash Furious film and I'm heck no not about to start now with this Hobbs and Shaw movie out later this summer, but hey this new photo of its stars Dwayne Johnson and Idris Elba and Jason Statham (via) is good enough for one of our "Do Dump or Marry" queries, I think! Go on and tell me in the comments who you do, who you dump, and who you marry...
.
