Bisexual Lighting: The Movie

We have a U.S. release date for Nicolas Winding Refn's first movie in a decade y'all! Her Private Hell will be opening on July 24th thanks to the stellar folks at Neon -- this will be after it bows at Cannes this month for those bastards who go to Cannes. (Fuck you, bastard people.)  I've posted about this movie a lot previously because duh -- we fucking worship NWR. But this thing's also got one of his most gorgeous casts (which is saying a lot given his last movie that had both Alessandro Nivola and Karl Glusman in its cast) -- Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton, Havana Rose Liu, Diego Calva, Drive My Car star Hidetoshi Nishijima, Parker Sawyers aka...

... the beautiful man who had lots of sex with Henry Golding in the movie Monsoon. Also the model Lola Corfixen and the oldest person in the cast, one Dougray Scott, who nevertheless remains very much fuckable at 60 years old. And listen -- not every movie needs to star a cast of nothing but hotties. But I do look at the ones that do -- the ones being shot by a hyper-stylist like Refn especially -- as extra special gifts. Let's hope that NWR used his decade off making the most gloriously obtuse and sexy disturbing television shows since Twin Peaks as perverted fuel for this big-screen return!

Pics of the Day

Looks like there's some sexy Y Tu Mama shit going down on the second season of The Night Manager, if these just dropped photos via Vanity Fair are anything to go by. That's the series' lead Tom Hiddleston on the left with actress Camila Morrone in the center and our boy Diego Calva on the right, and do note how he's getting a little manhandled by Tommy. You can see Diego clearer in the photo below. Any fans of the first series of this show? I liked it a lot but I will probably have to go back and re-watch it, I remember very little except for Tom Hollander trying to eat Tom Hiddleston's dick inside a restaurant. You don't forget that sorta thing.

Diego Calva Three Times

Absolutely everybody and everybody's cousin is getting photographed in those thigh-high leather boots! Was Pedro Pascal the first one to rock them? I think he was. Anyway we will enjoy all of Hollywood's leading men looking like background sluts from Cruising for as long as we can -- thank you, Diego.

Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

 ... you can learn from:

Bronson (2008)

Bronson: How would you feel, waking up in the morning without a window? My window is a steel grid, I 'ave to put my lips against that steel grid and suck in air, that's my morning... 'cause I got no air in my cell. I have to eat, sleep and crap in that room twenty-three hours of a twenty-four hour day. You tell me, what human being deserves that? Apart from the stinking paedophile or a child killer. I don't deserve that, I done nothing on this planet to deserve that. My bed is four inches off the floor, it's a concrete bed, my toilet hasn't even got a seat on it or a lid, and I 'ave to live like this month after month after month, and the way it's looking it's year after year after year. Now is that's right then so be, but let somebody else 'ave a fucking go at it, 'cause I've had twenty-six years of this bollocks and it's time to come out, and I want the jury at my trial to come and see how I'm living. But I'm not living, I'm existing.

A very happy 55 to our beloved neon mad genius Nicholas Winding Refn today! This is a good moment to remind us all that we will be getting a new movie from him next year -- I told you about his film Her Private Hell back in April when Charles Melton joined the cast, but by all accounts they've already filmed the thing so I'm assuming a next year release. It also stars current it girl Sophie Thatcher (of Companion and Heretic and Yellowjackets fame), plus Drive My Car hunk Hidetoshi Nishijima, Diego Calva, Kristine Froseth, Dougray Scott, and Havana Rose Liu from Bottoms and Lurker. This is one drop-dead gorgeous cast y'all. Can't wait for NWR to douse them all with blood and glitter.

Diego Calva Eight Times

I can't remember if I did a post about this but you can rent the queer drama On Swift Horses from the usual places now -- that's the one that has a lot of Diego here romping about with Jacob Elordi, plus the architectual revelation that is Will Poulter's ass. I mean there's more to the movie obviously but those are the main selling points says me. Here is my review from when it was in theaters. A mixed one for sure, but I'd like to re-watch it sometime -- there's a sweetness and a tenderness to it that will probably make for a nice comfort watch down the line. Anyway these fine new photos of Mr. Calva dropped this week thanks to Behind the Blinds magazine, where you can also read a chat with the actor (lots of sex talk natch). Or just hit the jump for the photos...

Good Morning, World

I had to check the calendar twice to make sure it was actually Monday before I said, "Happy Monday!" -- last week's holiday schedule has discombobulated me fully -- but tis Monday, so Happy Monday and here are a pair of gifs of Jacob Elordi in the movie On Swift Horses to make it happier. Okay movie, this one -- you can read my mixed review right here. It's available to rent online in all the usual places right now and there are worse ways to spend a couple of hours than Jacob Elordi and Diego Calva having lots of sex and Will Poulter showcasing his incredible edible bum. Indeed don't be surprised if I come back to share more gifs from this movie throughout the week. Anyway, onward. It's Monday, did ya hear?

Horses Be Swifting

I so rarely post on the weekend that some of you might've missed this down below and that'd be a shame -- my review of the "Jacob Elordi and Diego Calva go gay for each other" flick On Swift Horses dropped over at Pajiba yesterday, read it here. And here is the trailer if you missed that. The movie is okay but I do have some issues with it, unfortunately -- I wouldn't say it's not worth seeing, but that might just be Will Poulter's perfect ass making me say that. It's holding a gun to my head! (I wish.) And did I actually write this entire post just so I could post the below gif of said perfect ass today? Hmm we'll never know, I guess!

Diego Calva Gives Good Attitude

As mentioned on Friday morning in our Jacob Elordi post and Friday afternoon in our Will Poulter post the queer melodrama On Swift Horses is in theaters this weekend and I have reviewed the movie -- click on over to Pajiba and read my (mixed) thoughts! Less mixed are my thoughts on this sexy ass photoshoot of Elordi's co-star Diego Calva for Attitutde magazine, though -- these are getting the job done just the way I want the job done to me. Hit the jump if you'd like to see them all...

Will Poulter Four Times

I guess today is all about the On Swift Horses boys! And why shouldn't it be? This morning we gave Jacob Elordi's bulge a spin and later on (ooh a preview of coming... attractions!) we'll have some Diego Calva to share. But right this minute let us toss ourselves onto Will Poulter's lap and give it a shake and a shimmy. Will was photographed for Interview Magazine, where he's interviewed by his Warfare co-star Kit Connor -- unfortunately the two of them don't discuss Kit grabbing Will's ass for all of us to enjoy; neither do they mention the shot of Will's incredible ass that's in On Swift Horses and which is one of the movie's greatest highlights. (Burned onto my brain, it is.) But then I don't mention Will's ass in my forthcoming Pajiba review of the movie either because hey -- we're professionals here! Except for here here, as in on MNPP, where I'll let my ass-ogling freak-flag fly freely. Thank goodness for safe (ass) spaces y'all. Hit the jump for the rest o' Will...

Hug It Out For A Not Half Day

I was just about to tell y'all that it was going to be a half day here at MNPP because I thought I had a press screening of the upcoming queer flick On Swift Horses starring Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, and Diego Calva to head to -- watch the trailer here -- but I fucked up my calendar and the screening was actually this morning! Damn damn damn. I am so daft. Anyway I'll probably be able to sneak into another press screening soon so it's not the absolute end of the world, but I was really looking forward to running free and gay for an afternoon -- sigh. Come comfort me with a hug and our pant-fronts pressed tightly together, Jacob Elordi. Anyway I am seeing Andrew Scott live on stage doing Vanya tonight thanks to a generous friend so at least I do have some proximity to gayness on tap -- I need my fix or I'll turn blue, I tells ya.

Pic of the Day

Having seen Death of a Unicorn last night I'm now back on my Will Poulter bullshit, real hard -- he spends a good majority of this movie wearing small shorts, and he has an excellent hot-tubbing scene as well! -- and so I wasn't going to resist sharing this photo of Will with Jacob Elordi on the set of their upcoming rainbow drama On Swift Horses. I mean I wasn't going to resist sharing this photo whether I'd just seen Will in soaking wet trunks in a new movie last night or not! Anyway if you missed the trailer it's right here and if you missed the new hot photos of the other dude in the movie -- one Diego Calva -- that I shared yesterday click here. On Swift Horses is out on April 25th! Not even a month to go!

Diego Calva Seven Times

I am not one of those critics who think that Damien Chazelle's Babylon is some misunderstood masterpiece that deserves to be reassessed in the future -- I thought it was a thundering and obvious bore with a few fun scenes and performances sprinkled about. Neither do I think Diego Calva was particularly good in the movie. And yet here we are! And it's all because he has a movie coming out soon where he supposedly has lots of sex with Jacob Elordi (at least we know for sure that they dance in tighty-whities together and that's good for me). That said I also never thought I'd be feeling so pro-mesh-shirt as I have been lately but I'll be damned if the slut-forward fashion gurus haven't convinced me with the likes of Diego photographed here in Bad Hombre magazine (via). (And also that Glen Powell photoshoot -- we can't forget that!) So who knows what the future may hold! (Yeah you can say that again -- fuck.) What a world, what a world. Hit the jump for the entire shoot...

Good Morning, World

I don't know where the tenacious sleuths on Tumblr dug up this shot from On Swift Horses, the forthcoming (out on April 25th) movie film starring Diego Calva and Jacob Elordi as forbidden lovers but this shot was not in the trailer they released a few weeks back -- I giffed all the good stuff in that one right here. Maybe a new clip's been dropped somewhere? It's too early for me to do much more digging -- I slept like hell last night and need to finish this great big coffee sitting in front of me -- so let's just enjoy that gif of the two gorgeous actors bumping tighty-whities for now. Good morning!

We Have Won the Jacob Elordi Jackpot

Forgot to mention this morning that today was going to be a quiet one because I had a funeral to go to this morning -- loving that 2025! -- but I'm back now, if a little bit day-drunk from the reception so forgive me any typos I miss. Anyway! Last week I told you that On Swift Horses the queer drama that promises to have Jacob Elordi and Babylon star Diego Calva going at it a bunch, has a release date of April 25th. Well lo and be beheld we now have a trailer like cockwork excuse me clockwork. (That typo was on purpose.)

The trailer very much knows what it is selling, and what it is selling is Jacob Elordi being hot and getting gay, and so it's rife with such imagery because we deserve our respites and distractions right now and somebody, bless them, knew that. Here is the trailer:

And after the jump a slew more gifs of note...

Jacob Elordi's Gay Spring

Deadline is reporting today that On Swift Horses, the movie that has Jacob Elordi and Babylon star Diego Calva falling hot and heavy for one another, has found itself a release date -- April 25th! I told you about this movie right here last fall before it played at TIFF -- I purposefully avoided everything that came out about the film (reviews etc) during that film festival because I am keeping myself pure as a virgin for my boys. Just this once. The film also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Will "Leather Daddy" Poulter and it was written and direced by Daniel Minahan who made the terrific 2001 movie Series 7: The Contenders, which I forgot existed until right this minute -- remember that movie??? I should see that one again! Now there's a movie that deserves a good boutique-label blu-ray or 4K upgrade stat. Minahan has worked on mostly TV stuff since then, including Game of Thrones and Fellow Travelers. Let's hope he carries those series' sexposition exploits up onto the big screen!

Pic of the Day

I have been so singlemindedly focused on the upcoming gay romance starring Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor (for obvious reasons) that I totally forgot we also had a forthcoming gay romance (sort of) starring Jacob Elordi and Diego Calva! I have posted about the movie before right here -- it's called On Swift Horses and today Vanity Fair has given us the first look (seen above, although cropped to avoid their annoying logo) and a chat with everybody involved, check it right here. The film also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Will Poulter and honestly the description of the plot confounded me a little bit -- all that matters is this bit, I think:

"Elordi and Calva, who broke out in 2022’s Babylon, develop a steamy sexual chemistry that includes several rich, emotional, and explicit love scenes. “He’s a real cool customer,” Elordi says of Calva. “We had a week of intensive [prep] in the motel room, and [the director] gave us a lot of freedom to run around and to play and to find that love within those four walls.”"

This movie is premiering at TIFF so I guess we'll hear how steamy soon enough. Hopefully it's out in theaters before the end of the year. I don't like to wait for sexiness.

Diego Calva Two Times

These snaps of the Babylon actor with the purdy mouth are coming at us via Bad Hombre magazine (what a great name for a magazine). The interview's in Spanish but maybe you speak Spanish, and also there are more photos, so if you wanna click over click over. I'm not stopping you.

Quote of the Day

"It was so cool to work with him. He’s obsessed with photography, he’s obsessed with old plays,... He loves Tennessee Williams, he loves Chekhov. He’s not the guy you maybe think he is. He’s such a cool actor. He’s just amazing. I feel very proud... I don’t know if I can say this but we are going to have pretty hot scenes in this movie… You have to wait. But I think it will be a pretty cool movie.”

That is Babylon's gorgeous leading man Diego Calva talking to IndieWire about his next movie and his next co-star Euphoria star Jacob Elordi and, uhh, consider our ticket purchased. We don't know anything about this movie except that info, and that it also co-stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, and that it is being directed by Daniel Minahan who 1) directed a lot of Game of Thrones, and 2) is directing the mini-series Fellow Travelers with Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey being all gay for each other over the span of a few decades, and 3) my boyfriend once offended at a party when he brought up how similar Minahan's film Series 7: The Contenders was to the movie The 10th Victim. He wasn't even being a dick about it -- he was just trying to have a conversation, Daniel Minahan! LOL, so touchy. Anyway we don't have a title on the movie or any plot, but bring on hot sexy gay shit, please and thank you.

Diego Calva Nineteen Times

I'm not sure if the magazine calling itself L’Beauté Homme is a real longstanding magazine out of Mexico or if they just made their name sound so similar to several so that they seem that way -- either way today it's another magazine I've never heard of with a nice big photoshoot of an actor I am currently enjoying staring at, so who cares? In this case it's Babylon star Diego Calva, who might have in my opinion (here is my review) got saddled with a nonsense character in that movie but he was still handsome enough that I didn't mind staring at him for its three hour run-time. Weirdly that's kind of similar to this photo-shoot -- it could have been better, but he's got that magic something that makes it okay (more than okay) anyway. Hit the jump for it...

Diego Calva Four Times

I've had a few chances to see Damien Chazelle's film Babylon already but skipped out on them because I was just hoping for a screener -- I know it's supposedly a big visual movie that demands immersion but it's three hours and I'm not a fan of Chazelle's movies (First Man was fine, otherwise no) so that also must be factored in. Anyway I'm seeing it in about a week and a half for sure for sure, so stay tuned -- I'll have things to say when it's coming out. But I have heard from several people that the film's relatively unknown leading man Diego Calva is worth the price of admission alone -- that he's a smoldering sexpot who sets the screen on fire, basically -- and he's featured in the new issue of Interview Magazine today being interviewed by his co-star Margot Robbie, so I will share the photos here as a preview of attractions. Hit the jump for them all...
