Kisses At Max

I had to wish Sense8 and Free Fall actor Max Riemelt a happy birthday with a simple single tweet on Tuesday (see down below) because I couldn't find any substantial news about what he was up to to justify a post here on the site, even though I'd have preferred the latter -- I will always prefer taking my long and luxurious time when it comes to Max, as he should well know. So I'm a little annoyed that the Wachowskis waited until two days after his birthday to announce that he's joined the cast of their new Matrix sequel -- as what we of course don't know, but he'll probably wear Cool Sunglasses, jaaa. A month ago I told you that Jonathan Groff had also joined the film -- other co-stars include Watchmen big fella Yahya Abdul-Mateen and fellow Sense8 actor Toby Onwumere, plus OG Matrix-ers Keanu & Carrie-Anne.

I Quit Smoking Eleven Years Ago Today

Like two perfectly straight cigarette sticks we've struck the number 11 this year -- 11 years without a cigarette as of today, May 5th 2019. And as we've done with every anniversary since we've spent the past 12 months gathering up photographs of attractive actor fellas with a fag between their lips so, uhh...

A Max for all Senses

You go into anything Sense8 underestimating the sex appeal of Max Riemelt and you're bound to come out the other end deeply ashamed of yourself, and sure enough all of my pre-finale posting focused on Miguel Angel Silvestre missed the real star, aka Max's ability to make everything he comes into contact with an erotic extravaganza. Shame on my Wolfgang blinders. I don't want to dive into spoilers in case any of you haven't watched the finale yet but I went looking and couldn't find a gif of my favorite moment from the finale anywhere and I needed it, so I made it. but it's spoilery. So we'll  just go ahead and hit the jump for it...

Holy Shit They Did It

I really didn't think the fan campaign to annoy Netflix into the ground about their cancellation of Sense8 would amount to anything, not after so much pain over the years over niche shows gone too soon, so fuck my face for doubting the power of the internet's staunchest annoyers - they got it done! DH has word (right from Lana Wachowski herself) that Netflix will do the smart thing, business and sense-wise, and give the series a proper conclusion (after a cliffhanger ended the 2nd season) with a 2-hour finale special! It will air some time next year. Hurray! Somebody find me Miguel Angel Silvestre to make out with (or Alfonso Herrera) (or Brian J. Smith) (or Max Reimelt) (or hell I'd make out with Doona Bae) immediately!

... celebrating Pride with the Sense8 cast.

Brian J Smith and Max Reimelt making out on a float at the Brazil Gay Pride celebration this weekend wasn't even the MOST of it -- click over here to see a better round-up of all the cast's shenanigans. They put the horniness of their show front middle and center.

So much so that I don't even know where to begin. Max and Brian and Miguel and Alfonso and everybody else was basically reenacting the first season's orgy sequence, just in public, for real. 

Good grief, this show will be the death of me.

Good Morning, Max

What a coincidence! Last night I stumbled across those photos of three contemporary German actors that I love including Sense8's Max Reimelt and here today it is Max's birthday! I think maybe Max's publicist has whispered some Japanese incantation and become a ghost in my machine or something, this is a lot of coincidence. Anyway Max is turning all of 32 today, and I imagine it's a not too shabby time to be him, what with not just the second season of Sense8 coming later this year but, you know, the fact that he gets to shoot the show and have orgies with people like Miguel Angel Silvestre and Alfonso Herrera and Brian J. Smith and on and on. 

These pictures here are from a 2006 movie called The Red Cockatoo (which co-stars Ronald Zehrfeld, who I was just watching the other day being a big sexy thing in the movie Phoenix, highly recommended) which means he was 22 filming it, which makes me feel less pervy because god he looks young. Phew. Well for more lots more of twinky little 22 year old Max hit the jump...

I've gotten more messages this week from all y'all crushing on Max Reimelt in Sense8 than for anybody else, so here's a nice little bit of coverage. I know he shows a lot of skin in Free Fall, that gay movie he did that got a lot of good attention, but even though I've been meaning to watch it for ages I haven't gotten around to it yet so you shouldn't expect me to be posting any shots from that until it's properly seen. Them's the breaks! And no I haven't been able to watch more of Sense8 since yesterday's post; Penny Dreadful + Halt and Catch Fire took priority last night. We'll get there.
