Getaway in an Owl Shaped Cabin

Would you like to rent an owl shaped cabin for your next vacation? This beach-side adorable owl inspired cabin is located in Sandhills in the little town of Hightown, UK, that's about 20 minutes outside of Liverpool. Tracy Caroline Lewis the owner worked with a London based artist who is also her friend Tim Cole to build this eco-shed using recycled materials and a beautiful grass roof.

The most amazing feature of this shed, the windows are made from old glass bottles which look like big round eyes and give the shed an owl-like appearance. The house overlooks coastal sand dunes makes it an ideal spot for those you enjoy the outdoor views.

"As an artist it’s important to me that things are beautiful but they also have to be functional so Owl House fills that perfectly.” - via. For more details on how to reserve this house go to airbnb.

"The Watchers" is another cool and funky owl shaped cabin that I blogged previously here. Take a look!

Pouf NOL Bean Bags

Pouf NOL by Oskar Perek are the cutest bean bags I have seen in a long time. When I first saw the bag it looked like a baby owl squeezing the eyes, sporting a tuft of hair on the head. It's made of stain-resistant fabric which is easy to clean and is available in 26 colors to match with any decor. All the color options and shipping information can be found here (you may need to translate the website, it's in Polish).

Cadbury Chocolate Easter Eggs

This is another adorable recipe that you could try this Easter. These little chocolate Easter chicks most certainly looked like little baby owls to me when I first saw them here. Especially the chicks with the round heads versus the pointed heads could pass as owls. So, obviously I couldn't stop myself from sharing this with you all. Enjoy!

Recipe: Easter Deviled Eggs

Some say they are baby chicks, I see owl faces in those eggs! ;) Do you?

You can find the recipe to make these adorable deviled eggs here.

Pepe and Friends Ceramics by Camila Prada

Camila Prada is a ceramics designer who launched a new line of ceramics in collaboration with German ceramic manufacturer Rosenthal. The collection Pepe and Friends consists of super cute porcelain characters like Big Poppa, Lil Bubba (shown above) that especially caught my attention. Don't they look like owls you too?

I couldn't resist sharing some other pieces from her. They are all so amazing, how do you choose which one do you like the most?

Her ceramics can be purchased directly from her website.

Zim and Zou: Paper Sculptures

Zim and Zou is a graphic design studio based in Nancy, France. It's a team of graphic designers Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann who completed a BTS in Visual Communication before joining forces and offer their expertise. They work in different areas such as paper sculptures, installations, graphic design and illustration.

I am amazed by their extraordinary and intricate paper sculptures created using only high quality paper, knife and glue. When I saw the top image, the first word that came to my mind was 'owl'. It's a beautiful paper sculpture titled "Chef Mask" but to me it also appears as an owl face. Does it to you too?

Their birds are the most delicate paper birds that I have seen in a long time. Love'em!

"Oomph Trajectories" by Michaela Bruton is an exhibition of drawings and a sculpture that looks like a beautiful owl (to me) made using silver wire, feathers and mosasaur tooth.
