Cognoscenti Coffee is a pop-up coffee bar in Eagle Rock, California owned by Yeekai Lim who designed the entire place and the logo featuring an owl with glasses. How cool! I have never been there myself but it seems like a wonderful coffee shop with warm ambiance and great coffee! Have you ever heard or had the opportunity to go to this cafe? How was your experience?

When I saw this Got Craft's "Holiday Edition" beautiful poster at Poppytalk, I couldn't resist sharing it with you. After all, the show's star is an owl, hehe. Seriously, it's a perfect holiday themed poster. I love all the ornaments hanging from the tree and the owl in his red scarf is so adorable!

What's Got Craft?

Got Craft is one of the biggest Indie craft fairs of Vancouver. It started in 2007 and has grown to 50 vendors selling handmade jewelry, paper goods, ceramics and more! If you are in Vancouver, then stop by or visit them here.

Pacifica: Affordable Luxury

I'd buy their product for their packaging alone. I stumbled upon their website and after seeing their product range which includes body butter, soy candles, solid perfumes and more, I dashed to their about page. I wanted to know all about the people who come up with product names like Tibetan Mountain Temple and Avalon Juniper. I was pleased to find out that the company is run by a couple, Brook and Billy, who have a great story behind how it all started. A glimpse below:

"Pacifica was conceived on the drive home from a surfing trip. Brook and Billy knew they wanted to create a company that would reflect their talents, passion for nature and beauty and healthy, surfer lifestyle."

PIPERLIME Boot's Print Ad

I received Harper's Bazaar magazine in mail last week. I didn't get time to read it or even open it until last night. I flip through a few pages and see this beautiful full page winter boots ad by PIPERLIME. The boots are gorgeous, but I have to admit the white owl in the advertisement won my heart instantly. Doesn't it have an innocent expression on his face?

Mr. Wise Owl of Tootsie Roll

Tootsie Roll Industries aired a television commercial in 1970 featuring a boy asking various animals: a cow, a fox and a turtle, how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. None of them can resist to bite a Tootsie pop and the boy was told to ask his question to someone else. Eventually, he asks an owl, a wise owl, who starts licking the lollipop, and answers three. But eventually gives into temptation and bites into the lollipop. The point was that the world will never know the answer because no one can wait that long to get to the center of one!

Nike "Twin Peaks"
