Swirl Christmas Tree - DigiStamp Boutique

Hello everyone :o)

Here's a couple of cards (ok, so it's the same card, just in different colours!) using the gorgeous Snowy Backgrounds and the Swirl Christmas Tree cutting file, which will be available soon from DigiStamp Boutique.

The snowy backgrounds were printed on linen card and I added Glamour Dust to the 'hills'.  I cut 3 trees for each card, using my Cameo, and layered them up for a bit of dimension, then sprayed the top layer with Spray & Sparkle.  I wanted something sparkly for the top of the tree but couldn't find quite the right thing, which considering the amount of stuff in my craft room is slightly ridiculous... but anyway!  So I started with black enamel dots, covered them in Glossy Accents, then sprinkled on some fine black glitter.  The sentiment is an old one from Elzybells (now closed... I miss that shop!).

Off to have a little wander around your blogs... hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

New cut files from DigiStamp Boutique!

Happy Saturday everyone:o)  Sorry for the long gaps between posts... it'll probably be the same on here for the rest of the year, but will get things back to normal again next year!

Anyway... today's a bit exciting, because I get to unveil a brand new range at DigiStamp Boutique.  Sally-Ann is now creating cut files for use with digital cutting machines.  Here's one of the first ones that should be available to buy very soon.

This one is Snowy Landscape, cut on my Cameo... I've kept my card very simple and quite flat for posting.  Just a bit of glamour dust here and there for a bit of sparkle, and an MFT snowy background stamp (the white ink is Stampin' Up)... finished off with a sentiment stamp from Clearly Besotted.

This version was cut at just under 6", but I also cut another at around 4" and that cut with no problems too.  My plan was to make a few different ones, but Chester was at the vets being neutered yesterday, and they rang me a LOT earlier than I expected, because he was barking and howling the place down!  So I had to go and collect my very wobbly dog at lunchtime... and there went my planned day of crafting.

I don't usually do this, but while I'm here I thought I'd give a fab local company a bit of a mention.  We're trying to be healthier at the moment... bought a soup maker and we're eating more fresh foods.  I found a lovely family business on Facebook, where you can order fruit, veg and salad (they also have freshly baked cakes and breads, but I behaved and didn't order those... ooh and free range eggs, I did get some of them!).  They deliver straight to your door, and I'm so impressed with the huge boxes of fresh goodies we got, it's great value.  So if you're in or around Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop, Chesterfield or Derby, have a little look at their FB page HERE.  I'm not on commission lol, it's just nice to support good small businesses isn't it?

See you again soon, hopefully... have a lovely evening :o)

Red, white & blue anniversary

Hello :o)

I have one of my occasional cards to blog today... roll on September (October?... dunno!), when things will hopefully be back to normal here.  I'm panicking slightly about Christmas already, will have to make all my cards in about a month at this rate!

So... this one's an anniversary card for an order, and I took inspiration from this week's challenge at Less is More, where the theme is 'red, white & blue'.  A bit last minute entering, but I got there in the end.

The little birds & branch is from the Silhouette store, cut on the Cameo, with a Doodlebug enamel heart added.  The sentiment stamps are from Clearly Besotted... the 'husband' one was embossed in detail white, the anniversary one stamped in SU night of navy ink... super simple!

Back to the tennis (go Andy!), Lemsip and tissues for me... thanks for popping in :o)

Birthday Wishes Brother...

Hello everyone :o)

You might have noticed I haven't been around much!  I'm finding the whole puppy thing pretty exhausting really... have managed to make about a third of a card since we got him and starting to get a teeny bit frustrated now!  Other people seem to carry on as normal when they get a puppy, but I can't make a thing while he barks at full volume in the background.  We're all completely besotted with him though!

So here's another card I made before Christmas, for an order.

The dragon was a Silhouette file cut on the Cameo, sentiment stamps are Stampin' Up and the papers are First Edition textured ones.

And here's a couple of sleepy Chester photos...

A few of you have asked if he's a Cocker Spaniel, he's actually a Cockapoo, but not an especially curly one.  He'll probably look quite different when his adult coat comes through.  He's now 9wks old and knows sit, stay (not for very long) and paw, he's getting the hang of toilet training when he feels like it (he prefers the rug and isn't keen on the cold!), and he sleeps through the night after a few minutes of extreme barking... every time I see the neighbours I apologise, although they claim it isn't bothering them.  I'm sure it will if it carries on much longer though!

It was my birthday last week and I had some lovely cards from some equally lovely blogging friends - thank you!  I'm getting a set of Inktense pencils with my birthday money, but there's no rush to order them seen as it'll probably be weeks before they get used properly... oh, and I've already ordered a copic carrying case, in the hope that I can do a bit of colouring downstairs... well you never know eh?

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

Husky silhouette

Hello everyone :o)

As usual, it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things since we got back from our holiday... so here's one I made for an order before we went.

I was asked for a card for someone who breeds huskies, and luckily found this cutting file in the Silhouette store... she liked it anyway.

Hopefully I'll manage to make something tomorrow!  Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening :o)

5th Avenue - Sugar Nellie DT

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Sugar Nellie, using an older stamp called 5th Avenue...

I made a shaped 21st card for an order, using my Cameo, and it's also my first attempt at a darker skin tone... I used E11, E13 & E15, & R32 for cheeks... just in case anyone was wondering!

This week's little stamp candy is the set below, which is called Creativeness.  Please leave your name in the linky if you'd like to win her.... I'll announce the winner tomorrow.

Easter Baby Quack - DigiStamp Boutique DT

Hello everyone :o)

I've used the very cute Easter Baby Quack image for today's DigiStamp Boutique DT creation... not a card today!  I must admit, I'm really not happy with this... there are so many things I wish I'd done differently!  Oh well, the image is still gorgeous...

I suspect he'll be spending the day at home tomorrow!

A shaped 21 card...

Hello everyone :o)

Ooh look... I managed to design a shaped card using the Cameo software!  I started with the scalloped number cut files and faffed around until I ended up with this... ooh I was really pleased with myself lol.

This is another card for my cousin - mum needed one to send, although she chose the Leanne Ellis card I made, so this is the one from us.  There are things I wish I'd done differently - not too keen on that shimmery green/ aqua cardstock now, wish I'd just cut it in white... but I'm still quite impressed that it actually worked!

Items Used
Shaped card - made using Scalloped Numbers (design ID #19277)
Papers - LOTV
Butterfly die - will add name later, not sure!
Sentiment - Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler - Craft Mojo
Pearls from my stash

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Papertake Weekly - anything goes + optional shaped card
Sweet Stampin' - sentiments only (does this count?)
Totally Gorjuss - sentiment as main focus (again, not sure if mine counts!)

Off for a commenting catch up... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Hello everyone :o)

I've played with my Cameo again today, and made a few simple Valentine's cards... here's one for my Auntie to give to her hubby - they have a little dog that's quite similar to a Scottie... I can't actually remember what breed he is, but anyway... she'll like this one!

Love Scottie Dogs (design ID #37846) - cut on the Cameo
Digi sentiment - Pink Petticoat

Off for a little commenting catch up before I go back in the craft room... Hope you all have a lovely evening :o)

Hello everyone :o)

I'm here with my DT card for Little Miss Muffet, using the super sweet Polka Dot Pals Lydie... I'm not sure what possessed me, because I'm rubbish at circle cards (and not much better at easels!), but for some reason I made a circle easel lol...

I know it's a bit on the simple side, but you wouldn't believe how long I faffed around trying to add 'stuff'... gave up and left it as it was in the end!

Without Words - spots and/ or stripes

Morning everyone :o)

Our challenge for this month at Without Words is 'spots and/ or stripes', and we're sponsored by Crafter's Companion with a £10 voucher for our lucky winner.

I've made a card for Dex as it's his birthday on Wednesday... He saw this image when I printed it (a couple of months ago!) and asked if it was for his card, so I thought I'd use it seen as he seemed to like it.

It's not completely finished - I decided after I took the photos that it needs a couple of little sentiment tags tying onto the thread... will do that later!

Items Used
Digi stamp - My Batty Hero - Tiddly Inks
Colouring - copics
Papers - MME (old ones, not sure what they're called)
Number 6 - cut on the Cameo
Black thread from my stash

I'm entering my card for the following challenges
Charisma Cardz - birthdays
Sketch Saturday - sketch (adapted a bit, hope it's ok!)
Papertake Weekly - pick of the year (10th Sept, child's play challenge)

The boys have gone back to school today and I'm really missing them... could have done with at least another week's holiday.  I suppose I'll get a bit more done though, and I really must get back into the gym routine now!

Hope you all have a lovely day :o)

Well I've been brave today and made my first cut on the Cameo, and it worked first time... yay!  My card is just a simple one, and I wish I'd used different colours really... but at least I've started using the machine :o)  New machines scare me lol!
