Bags on Madeit

Yippee!!
I've finally listed some bags in my madeit shop.
No white backgrounds.
No fiddling with photos or worrying about wording. I just did it.
And it sure feels good!
Yeehah!!!!!

Just a whimsy in my creative space

I had a little thought and if it pans out as a good one I might even list it in my empty MadeIt shop.

Ikea hacking is fun

A friend gave me a heap of small pieces of Ikea fabric. This is just a small selection but amongst my favourite. I am totally in love with these birds.

Just birds on their own though is a bit much for me so I cut up left overs from the nappy bag I finished yesterday (also from her left overs) and quickly made another bag. These sorts of spontaneous projects are just the best.

This nappy bag is special because the prototype was designed by my friend so that it would be able to hang on the clips that most prams have on their handles these days. I'm not sure that the flap is long enough though so I think I will redo that and also add a magnetic fastener. Then, once the photos are done, both of these bags will go into my shop.

Kiddy Bags ready

Thankyou everyone for your help with naming these little bags. I have decided to go simple and call them kiddy bags which after all is why I made them in the first place. They are little and just right for a few golden books and the odd toy or three. Unfortunately I have no more of this bright stipey fabric otherwise I would make heaps of the ones with the African girls. It is such a happy print and specifically reminds me of an African American girl who stayed with me a couple of years ago. She was very happy too. That is why these two will be named the Tamilia Kiddy bags. Thanks for the memories Tamilia!!

I am not sure who makes the print as I only bought 10 cms of it and that just got me the c for copyright but I am sure that it is available from all good patchwork shops as that is where I bought it.

The sea picture is ....Sea by Jim Shore for Red Rooster of all places.!

The Dinky Diaper Bag

Well, I don't really know if that is what I shall call these little cuties because I am a wee bit confused as to their function. I've made a couple of them for friends so that as soon as their little one is big enough to walk they can have a bag just like big brother or sister. However, the mums have confounded me by using them as little nappy bags, ie diposable plus wipes easily fit in. So now I am a bit lost. The bags in this photo are getting ready to go into my Madeit shop (should be there early next week) but I am not sure what to call them.

Dinky Diaper Bags

Binky Baby Bags

Kiddy Bags

Nanny or Billy Bags (note the kid(goat) connection!)

Help. I don't know. Any worthy suggestions willy be gratefully received though not necessarily acted upon.

Willywagtail madeit shop finally open

Thanks to Tania and Jacinta and a few other people, I have finally made a few bags for sale. Of course, because I didn't have anyone specific in mind they are not my favourites but they are DONE. Hip hip hooray.
Actually, the truth be told, they have been sewn for a couple of months now and my madeit store front has been ready for even longer but I was too scared to take the photos to list them. That's where Tania came in and became a mentor of sorts. Thankyou to everyone for your encouragement about my sewing.
Next major project will be the making and listing of some of my nappy bags but that is whole 'nother story.
