EDIM For May 14th

The old salty sailor that I bought in
Sidney, BC on one of our sailing
trips to the Gulf Islands. This little fellow
was with us in great weather and in bad.
I used to laugh at his expression. He
always seemed to be saying, " It's
getting a little rough seas, isn't it!"
I do miss our sailing days and the boat.

Had a Little Visit to the Hospital Yesterday

The head nurse was very nice but I knew I
couldn't escape.
She made me wear this funny thing on my head.
Something about "Surgery Must Be Sterile", you know.
I think the bell was for finding me if I tried to escape....
They gave me a cocktail, said I
would enjoy it....

The Doctor said....
And that's all she wrote.....
I am now home resting up from a double whammy
as some would say. Had a colonoscopy and  a
endoscopy. Everything was fine but I have a
very sore throat and little or no voice.
DH enjoy it while you can for
they say the voice shall be back in a day or two.
Enjoy your weekend and know I shall never
schedule these things on the day after Halloween.
Think of all the candy I missed out on.

Painting Memories

Lately I have been enjoying our warm Fall weather
filled with sunny days and cool nights. I also have
been day dreaming about past memories. So I have
painted up a few.

Sadly the farmers market in my town is now closed for the season.
It was so great to get fresh veggies and gorgeous flowers.
There were some great artist there too.
I think I shall make some into cards.

EDiM May 4th

The assignment was draw a present you have
received. Why is it special.
I had wanted this book forever. I mentioned
it to my son one day and I didn't think he
was listening. He just said oh that sounds
nice. (he had other things on his mind)!
Well my birthday rolled around and he gave
me some beautiful flowers and said something was
coming in the mail.
Soon this arrived and was I surprised.
What a sweetheart, he was listening.
The book is fabulous.

It was in the 70's...No kidding! (or how I spent Easter)

We went to West Seattle to walk on the beach, search for
sea glass, enjoy the 70 degree weather. Of course we had to stop by
Duckies Rule! This man decorates for all the holidays with ducks.
Some of these ducks sing and it is very entertaining.

Looking back at downtown Seattle across the water.
I live in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains
you see behind the Space Needle.
Then we drove back to Seattle and up on
Queen Anne  to get this photo.
The opposite side of the Needle and more of
downtown. We finished off our adventure
at a Thai restaurant by Greenlake. Yummy.
The sun just made our day!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter too.

Had a Wonderful Birthday

Beautiful flowers from my son.
We all went back to one of my favorite places
Ray's Boathouse on Puget Sound in Seattle.
The sun was shining (YES I did say sun and shining)!
This looking out on their deck.
I was spoiled with all the seafood, presents
and the two favorite men in my life!
Now on to another fun filled year
and great memories to be made.
PS. Teddy said that should have been two of my
THREE favorite men...(oh good grief)

A Belated Mother's Day!

We had put off mom's day as my son had
hurt his shoulder and needed to heal. So
we celebrated at Edmonds Wa on Saturday
as they were having the Edmonds Art Festival &
Farmers Market too. The photo above is from the Farmers market.
The flowers were gorgeous and so was the food and veggies!
Then we approached the Art Festival!
So many tents and a whole day to wander through.
The weather finally started to behave so one could
leave the umbrella behind. Sorry I did not get any pics
of the artist work as I was to busy looking!
Then we headed down to the beach after a yummy
lunch of Thai food. We were greeted by my special friends ...
We found sea glass and had a good walk. On some of the
rocks we found these brass art that I thought you'd
like to see. Click on photos to enlarge if you like.
What a fun day spent with my terrific son.
Thanks sweetie!
