Easter Cards and Sunny Weather

Been busy getting my Rascally Bunny cards finished.

He has such an attitude but has agreed to pose once again.

Even brought his twin along this year.

So the cards are off to the local shops and Etsy.
I am slowly getting over this *@!% cold. They say it
hangs on forever. But I plan to kick it to the curb soon.
The sun is out so that helps a lot. I don't mind the rain
but web feet are not in style this year.

Watercolor Gift Cards

Had some fun painting up some little gift cards for
my Etsy shop.
Fun  pen and ink with watercolors. Reminds me
of how my garden looked this summer. I did
NOT paint the weeds. LOL
So many geraniums... so little time.
They are still in full bloom.
My cone flowers are slowly "closing up shop"
for the season.
We finally have had a little rain, though I must say
a real down pour the other night woke me up. But we really
needed it. Well back to painting and  later  listing
on my Etsy. I love the painting but the writing
up for listing not so much.
Hope your weekend is going great!!!!

Let's See if This Works...

Ah yes. If read my last post I was in trouble,
not being able to post photos. Well thanks (a big thanks) to
http://sharonwhitleytheramblingartist.blogspot.com/
she helped me. She had the same problem. Blogger or picasa
changed there limits last April (I never got any notice).
Anyway I have to go back and change the size on all my
photos to 480 by 640 in order not to have to pay a monthly fee.
It is a long process but I am mad enough to do it. So be aware that
large photos will run up your limits.
Now just wanted you to know what is now on my Etsy
For fun I put together this small book (above) called
Thoughts. It has some watercolor snips and quotes I love.
Then I added my "Snow People" watercolor cards.
Plus some other goodies. So take a peek if you like.
Sorry if I sounded grumpy but I hate when they change
the rules of the game without notice. LOL

Three Handmade Journals

Sitting quietly for the past 17 days I was able
to finish up a few journals for the Black Dog Event.
After Friday I hope to list some on my Etsy.
I pretty much used batiks and hand dyed fabrics.
Used some of my handmade fabric beads.
back side.
Added some crazy stitches here and there.
back side
I love the tie " arounds" as you never have to
worry about your journal getting to fat as
the tie are made to go around several times.
I found these lots of fun to make . Very freeing!
Each journal has different papers in them for
different types of journals.
So that's what I have been doing.
What have you been up to...?!

Fancy Fun Journal

"Art is your personal diary where you may color your thoughts and emotions on a page"
Created this fun journal and dressed it up
with bows and ribbons.
Makes one feel very creative just looking at it.
Has regular pages and tab pages for adding those
creative little bits you have just laying around
(that need to go in a journal) so you don't lose them.
I have taken several wonderful classes from
Martha Lever, she has so many fun classes. She put
me onto the machine for making these journals
and she suggested the bows, etc. Thank you Martha!
Will list on Etsy, with more info.

Lace and Lavender

I made up these sweet lavender sachets this week.
I filled them with lavender and flax seed. The flax helps
to give them a little weight and shape.
The first one is a soft faint lavender ,blue and green
batik. The color is very faint. I stitched on
lace and pearl beads. The top is layers of lace and roses
with dewdrop glass beads. A gold charm of a leaf and a
flower finish it off. Satin ribbon loop for hanging on a
door handle if you wish.

The second one is  made up of a silky file fabric with
hand embroidered tiny flowers and pearls surrounding
a lovely lace motif. The top is layers of lace and roses.
There is a sweet gold bird charm and a pink satin ribbon loop.

The third one is  a silky file fabric covered with pearls surrounding
a lave motif. The top has layers of lace, a large pearl button, seashells,
a white satin ribbon loop, and a seahorse charm.

They all measure between 5 and 6 inches not including the loop.
They look nice just laying in a dish or hang them by their loop on
a door knob.
They all smell delicious and I nearly fell asleep as I was making them.
Shall try to get them listed by tomorrow. They will be in either  my Etsy
shop or my wildflowerhouse  shoppe!
But right now I need a nap.
Lavender will do it every time.....

Something a Little Different..

This necklace was completely different
from the norm. The large rounds are a
dark purple blue felt which I rolled up very tightly
and bound with a blue embroidery thread. Then sewed
on tiny aqua seed beads. I added them to the jewelry rope
and put silver spacer beads and sewn seed beads between each felt bead.
I left the top plain so that it would fit around the neck
without causing bulk. Fits nicely under the collar, etc.
The bracelet is identical except it is on a
stretch cord for a easy fit.
