DAY 30 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days "Ta Da!"

Watercolor, pen and ink
"Ta Da"
I can't believe I did it but I did. The house is a mess, some nights
little sleep.trips to the art store more that the grocery store, great
way to lose a few lbs, not answering the ringing phone ( in other words
breaking Pavlov's  theory) and a DH who knew better than to ask why!
I learned a lot about myself. My word for 2013 is "complete" and
I stuck to it for the 30 days. I even posted things that I wasn't 100%
in love with, but I put myself out there. I thank Leslie Saeta for
this challenge because of all that I learned about myself.
Who knew at this stage in the game one could still find out
some things about ones self they didn't know. Good grief...
A huge thank you to all who stuck with me and encouraged me
with all your comments. They have meant a lot.
It is not raining so I am out the door for a walk with Teddy.
Can't break that promise.  :-)

Day 29 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Trip to Seattle

Watercolor, pen and ink.
Trip to Seattle
We went into Seattle to have lunch and it was foggy  and rainy, hence
my painting for day 29. Only one day to go. Hard to believe as time just
seemed to fly by. So I am off to think about my last painting for
this challenge. See you tomorrow.

Day28 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Poppy

Watercolor with pen and ink
The Poppy
I happen to love poppies and tend to accidentally drop their precious seeds
here and there and everywhere. This all started when DH pulled out
some of them claiming they were weeds. So I proceeded to just "accidentally"
drop seeds here and there and .....
Like I said I love poppies!!!
I am winning this war. I do believe he has given up. :-)
Have a great day everyone.

Day 27 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Down the Lane

Watercolor, pen and ink
Down the Lane
I like this painting as it reminds me of a lane I lived on as a small child.
You knew your neighbors, there was little traffic so you were free to
play up and down the lane. Things were very safe back then, with
little or no worries.
Three days to go......
People have asked if I will continue to show my paintings. Sure I will
but I will be taking more time. I wouldn't want to bore you all.

Day26 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Lost

Watercolor, pen and ink
Lost
Struggled with this one, not enough
time as DH was the birthday boy
and that takes priority.
Went out to lunch, saw Lincoln the
movie and then out to dinner.
Will need to hit the treadmill tomorrow.

Day 24 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days The Crow

Watercolor, pen and ink
The Crow
I happen to love crows, yes crows. I think they are very smart.
I could  sit and watch them for hours.
One of the gals in my Friday posse group has a family of
crows she feeds every day. She has named them Ozzie and Harriet
and David and Ricky. They wait for her to bring them crackers
every morning. This is how I came to paint
a crow today... I guess in honor of the Nelson family!
Good grief this 30 in 30 is getting to my brain.
Hang in there folks it's almost over.
Cloudy, foggy and a little rain.
A gray day for sure.

Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days The Rooster

Watercolor, pen and ink
A friend of a friend took this photo while in Europe. The photo is wonderful.
Why did this rooster have to be white. It was a challenge for me. But he does have
an attitude doesn't he.
Seven more to go.....will I make it?
Did have some fun today. I headed out with gift certificate in hand to
Daniel Smith . I indulged myself with some new colors, brushes, matts
and carving tools. It is like a kid in a candy shop for me. But I did
hold back on some items. Yes I did.
Sunny,cloudy and a little rain.
PS. Thanks for the encouragement you dear friends keep sending my way.
I feel like I am running a marathon.

Day 19 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days...

Watercolor,pen & ink
Pike Place Market in Seattle on warmer days than we are
having right now  Sunny but so very cold.  They keep saying
we will be warmer tomorrow but it hasn't happened here.
OK we did rise to a whopping 32 degrees for about 2 hours
but now that fog is settling again and the temps are dropping.
Saw a bobcat and deer going through the woods and they
even looked cold. But I will just keep painting.
I'll be back...tomorrow with day 20.

Day 15 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days, the Half Way Mark!

Watercolor
I am eating more healthy these days.Lots of fruit
and veggies. Christmas treats are GONE,
nothing to tempt me.
Still very cold here, sunny but really cold.
When the sun goes down the temps follow
in a big hurry.
We have reached the half way mark of 30 paintings
in 30 days and I'm hanging in there.
Now I am off to eat my still life.......!
