Whether you're a hardcore fan that laments the day you learned wrestling is fake or just a gamer who enjoys some good old fashioned digital body slamming action, THQ has added a new mode to WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 that's sure to please. WWE Universe merges new features with fan favorites from the franchise to create a customized, ever-evolving professional wrestling experience with as many twists and turns as the real (fake) WWE.

Like Vince McMahon, WWE Universe Mode will watch your every move in and out of the ring, tracking all of your playing habits to automatically generate a fully unique, individualized gaming experience.

"WWE Universe will constantly be working to recreate an authentic WWE calendar, automatically setting up matches to play or simulate at the player's leisure," THQ states. "The game will dynamically react to decisions and outcomes during gameplay, and as a result, generate future matchups between allies, rivals and contenders."

The publisher adds that a multitude cutscenes will also add to the customized story dynamic, with the player's actions triggering clips. Being attacked during an entrance by an enemy you laid out in a previous match, having your tag team partner abandon you, and post-match brawls are just a few of the events players can expect to encounter in WWE Universe.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 is being developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. The game is set to ship on October 26.

Sharkey says: Since the days of NES Pro Wrestling (Starman FTW!), I've always enjoyed a good wrestling game, and with Universe Mode, it sounds like THQ is adding a good new feature to the mix. Also: Bill Simmons is the worst thing that ever happened to that poor "It's still real to me, dammit!" guy.
