Hugs Kisses and Best Wishes Card with Tag Topper Punch Closure

I love punches.

And I love when there are other uses for punches, than just the basics.

Like this...

Here's a youtube video by Stamping T! that quickly explains how to make this style of card.

I used the new CTMH Ivy Lane papers on this card.  So pretty.

The sentiment is from a past set called You Are My Happy.

And the flowers are from Happy Autumn.

Happy creating!  :)

A Couple O' Boys' Cards

Don't ya just luv punched cards?

This super cute punched car idea came from Michelle Surette, and you can see her version here.

I used an older Verve sketch for the layout design, so it came together really very quickly.

And this 5x7 card came directly from the Autumn Winter 2011 Idea Book.

I just changed the color combo.  ;)

~~~~~~~
So Sweet Owls... a CASE
Aren't these just the cutest?  I CASEd these adorable ones created by Lynn Put.  I changed them up a bit by using new paper packs CTMH that will be available for purchase starting February 1st, and changed her card shape from square to a standard A2 size.
The one I made in pinks uses the Sweetheart Level 2 Paper Pack, while the one I created in blues (below) uses the Fanfare Level 2 Paper Pack.
The pillow boxes are great for putting little treats inside.
Hope you love them as much as I do!
~~~~~~~

Cole stayed home from school for a "sick" day today.  He's got a deep barky cough and was seriously wheezing this morning, so I opted to stay home with him, meaning no priming/painting today.  But I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Wait just a minute... I had an idea! (more Halloween Class Treats)

Okay, so I just had to use the eyeball gumballs as eyeballs!  I simply turned one of the card bases I was making and turned it into Frankie's face, using a few different punches from my previous post.

What do you think?  I like them both, but I think I'll wait until Cole gets home from school and ask him which one he wants to use.

Happy creating!  :)

Christmas tree punch card

Another idea lifted from here at Carrie Gaskin's blog... this time using scalloped punches for the Christmas trees. Super easy and quick!

I scored the scalloped circles so the bottoms would have 3-4 rounded scallops at the bottom (depending on size) and made them come to a point at the top. Then I just folded the sides back, trimming off the excess. I also used punches for the star and the tree trunks.

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted): New England Ivy, Olive, Chocolate and White Daisy cardstock; Sweet Home and Grace B&Ts; Christmas Scripts stamp set; Black ink; Punches: Scalloped circle (SU), 2 1/2" scalloped circle (Marvy Uchida), Word Window (SU), mini star (?).

Scatter Sunshine

I saw a card made by Mary Fish on the SCS website today where she used two different sized oval punches to make petals for a flower. I just happen to have those same punches (I know you're not surprised in the least... LOL) and I made my own version of her flower card. I like how it turned out; might even give it to my son's grade 2 teacher at the end of the school year. :o)

(Another) Friend card...

This one is almost a total lift from my 'card-making idol', Faith Hofrichter. I absolutely LOVE her work and I am always in awe of her talent and creativity. This is my version of one of her cards.
