Big MAGICAL Adventure 6x6 Mini Album

Have you seen the new CTMH Magical Paper Packet and Magical Complements?

So fun!

About a week ago, someone contacted me for info on an old project I made back in 2012.

Looking through the pictures of my old mini made me want to make a new version, so I pulled out my Magical papers and went to work, figuring it all out by looking at the pictures of my old mini album.  (The original was given away as a gift.)

My original was a 6x6 Kraft Card and Envelope Mini Album and the "how-to" for how to make the cover out of Kraft cardstock was made using instructions from fellow CTMH Consultant, Mary Gunn.

I just happened to have a bunch of these 6x6 Kraft cards left over to use on this album.  And honestly for the inner pages, it only uses 2 cards and 2 envelopes, plus one 6x6 piece of Kraft cardstock.

Note:  These CTMH Kraft cards and envelopes are discontinued now, but you could easily just use seven 6x6 pieces of Kraft cardstock for the inner pages.

When you open up the card page, there is room for two pages inside...

This shows the envelope page when it is opened up.  You can easily add another pull out page for even more photos.

These are the two pages inside of another card....

And here is another envelope opened up...

This last page has a pull out photo mat nestled in an envelope pocket.

Now I can't wait to fill this mini with pictures from our upcoming trip.  : )

Happy creating!  :)

Today was a Wonderful Day

Here's another layout I created at the retreat.

This layout uses Skylark papers and Skylark Complements.

Super quick layout that looks like it took some time to do... but I literally threw it together in just minutes.  lol

Note:  Since time of posting, I added more photos to my layout to finish it off,
and then I added photos of the completed layout to my original post to share with you.

Now I just need to print and add 4 more photos...  ;)

Happy creating!  :)

Supplies used (all CTMH):
Paper:  Skylark; White Daisy, Kraft CS
Embellishments:  Skylark Complements
Other:  3D foam tape, Black journaling pen

The Happiest Place on Earth

While at the scrapbooking retreat, we had the option to play along with a Bingo.  One of the squares on the bingo sheet was to create a layout using 9 or more photos on one layout.

I had printed out a bunch of little photos that were included on my PhotoPass photos that were professionally taken at Disney World last summer.  So I used them on this fun layout, along with a photo of Lee, Alyssa and Cole in front of the t-shirt store at Downtown Disney.

I used some bright papers from a past CTMH special called Dream Pop.

Happy creating!  :)

Supplies used (all CTMH):
Paper:  Dream Pop; White Daisy CS
Stamp:  Happiness Lives Here - Decor Frame Kit

Convention Layout with Ariana Papers

When I saw Rebecca Brown's layout she shared back in February, I thought it was so pretty and I had to make one too.

I believe she made hers in a 6x6 size.  I adjusted mine to 8x8, then adhered it onto a 12x12 sheet of Kraft cardstock, and added some journaling.

The photo is of me on the first day of Convention in Disney World last June.
It was the first time I attended Convention, even though I've been a Consultant since 2005.

Lee, the kids and I were headed for breakfast before the excitement began and he snapped this picture.

I know you can't tell by looking at the photo, but I was so nervous!  (That shy thing always rears its head.)

At the time, Corporate was my Upline, so I didn't belong to a group.
(Recently changes have been incorporated to move me to a new Upline... an actual person.  Hehe.)

Thankfully, fellow US Consultant Brenda Rose saved me a seat so I wasn't completely alone.
(It's amazing how alone a person can feel in a room full of people!  lol)
Thanks again, Brenda!  :)

Happy creating!  :)

Stamp:  Love This

Discover Pure Happiness

Here's a single page layout of one of my fave photos I took of Cole in Disney World last summer.

He's often not too shy to pose for photos, and can be quite a goofball most times.

And IMO, he's growing up way too quickly!

I mixed up some different papers and embellishments on this one, including some new items coming out in the Spring/Summer Idea Book (available Feb 1st).

And I really LUV how it all came together.

Happy creating!  :)

Supplies used (all CTMH unless otherwise noted):
Paper:  Later Sk8r - retired; Lagoon, Black White Daisy CS, Paper Fundamentals Basics CS - new item available Feb 1st
Stamp:   All the Details, Sightseer, You Are My Happy Alphabet - retired

Embellishments:  Aqua Dots, Silver Durables Triangle Studs - new item, My Crush Memories Assortment,  Pixie Glitter Alphabet - retiring at end of January

A Disney Vacation Keepsake... Hip Pics Mini Album

I made this super cute mini album to give to the tween girl (our friends' daughter) we took with us on our vacation to Disney World last summer.

CTMH had an awesome Hip Pics Mini Album Kit that included a bunch of die-cut shapes and a stamp set.  The Hip Pics Mini Album Kit isn't available anymore, but these kraft Hip Pic mini albums from the kits will be available in the new Idea Book starting February 1st.

And I'm pretty sure the die-cut shapes can all be cut using CTMH Cricut cartridges.

Here's a look at each of the inside pages...

You will notice that I added a little space for her to do her own journaling on each page.

I added a little pocket on the inside back page so she can tuck in any little memorabilia she may have.

What a fun little mini!  I hope she likes it, tho I'm sure she will.

It will be a great keepsake for her, for sure.

Happy creating!  :)

Coolin' Off in Disney World...

We flew in to Orlando a day early before Convention and spent part of the day getting our bearings around the resort, and then cooled off in one of the pools before heading out for supper.

This pool was right outside our complex (there were two smaller pools and one large one), and with the afternoon temperatures usually around 33 degrees C (and humidity levels around 44 degrees C), we definitely used the pool a lot on our vacay!

For this layout, I used papers from a previous CTMH special called Dream Pop, which is full of fun & bright patterns and papers, including embossed patterned cardstocks.

I added a little bit of Outdoor Denim to tone the brightness down a little, you know, for the boys.  Giggle.

I had a hard time taking a photo straight on because it was picking up the glare from my lights.
I'm so gonna invest in some better lighting options....

At least the photos below will show the colors off a bit better.

I cut the sunshine shape with my Cricut Artbooking cartridge and then painted some Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel over top.  And then I added some Outdoor Denim bitty brads for the eyes.  Just a touch of whimsy.

Well, that's it for today.

I've been working on a Hip Pics mini album for the tween girl that went on the trip with us.

I will share it with you once I have it completed.

Happy creating!  :)

Disney World Layout

Some of you may recall that I attended my first CTMH Convention last summer and that it was held at the Coronado Springs Resort in Disney World, Florida.

I personally like to travel with my family and because of the location, of course I had to make a family vacation out of it, especially since none of us had been to Disney World before.

So we took our friends' daughter along with us for a super-fun experience!

Here's the first (of many to come) layouts from our trip.

And this first layout is of me and Cole in front of the iconic Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom theme park.

I'm so happy to be able to print my photos at home, I can't tell ya!!!

It seems to have recharged my creative energy.

I used retired CTMH Fanfare papers, and cut the title using a few different Cricut cartridges.

I had bought an older exclusive Convention Disney themed stamp set called Dreams (from a previous Convention in Disneyland, held maybe 4 years ago?) from another CTMH Consultant this past summer and used it on my layout.

Working with these photos sooooo makes me want to go back... what fun!!!

Happy creating!  :)
