Well I'm a cowboy who never saw a cow...never roped a steer cause I don't know how...and I sure ain't fixin' to start in now...

Hey, y'all! I'm hereeeeee....yes, I know...things have been crazy, and I have been neglecting y'all. I miss you, too! Oh, and thanks to everyone who weighed in on my last post. I am still working on getting the kraft background on there...I'm not very HTML savvy and haven't quite figured out how to keep the middle section white and put kraft on the sides. Wish me luck!

Anywho...it's the 3rd Tuesday in May, which means it's Texas Tuesday again! I only had a few minutes, so I whipped up this cute little 3.5" x 5" notecard using some images from The Cat's Pajamas and a sentiment from somewhere I can't remember. How's that for being specific?

Card Size: 3.5" x 5"
Instructions:
1. Stamp Sprinkle first in Memento Black on Kraft
2. Mask Sprinkle and stamp the "town" behind her
3. Add color with Prismacolor Pencils without blending.
4. Mat the image panel with black, punch the bottom with the Scalloped Scallop punch.
5. Stamp sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black onto Vintage Cream card base
6. Adhere image panel to card base.

Don't forget to hop on over and see what Geeta, Linda, Betty & Mark are sharing this week...Libby is on holiday (love saying that, I feel like Bridget Jones), but she will be back soon! She will also be posting the Texas Tuesday Round-Up next Tuesday, so if you want to play along, you still have time! Here's where you need to link your card up to be included in the Round-Up.

Thanks for moseyin' by...have a fabulous day!

Now, now, now, now once upon a time in the west...

Howdy, folks! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are getting back into the swing of things today. We're celebrating around here...it's Caleb's 9th birthday! So we spent last night baking and decorating cupcakes, which I'm taking to his class here in a few minutes. I thought I'd upload this card, which was featured on Alma's blog a couple weeks ago.

Isn't it the cutest? All of the images on this card are from the It's a Western Thing set, which I love love love! First I stamped Sprinkle and Poochie on my white cardstock. Then I masked them and stamped the little town in the background, and then colored the whole scene. I really love how it turned out. It was quite a bit of work, but worth it, I think.

And here's how I finished off the inside:
I realized when making this card how addicted to Kraft cardstock I've become. I have totally run out of my whole stash! So Mr. Postman has been stalked all last week and this week...he better bring me some more soon! *grin*

Well, I gotta do a cupcake run, so I'll chat with you later! Have a fabulous day!

Whoopi-ty-aye-oh...rockin' to and fro...back in the saddle again...

Happy Saturday, yall! I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. I am hard at work on gifts in my stamp room, which is a total disaster, but I managed to find supplies to make my Sketch for You to Try card today. This is a great sketch, definitely one I'm keeping in my sketchbook for later.

I used some of my cowgirl paper stash from Creative Imaginations to get my card started. What a fun line! I remember seeing it last February at CHA and forgot about them till I saw them at The Crafty Scrapper last week. I got a whole stack!

This card measures 5 1/4" square, and most of the layers are sponged with Tea Dye and Walnut Stain Distress ink. The sentiment is from Deadbeat Designs that I picked up on my last trip to Stamp Salado.

While your surfing today, don't forget to check out this fab sketch and sample on Jen's blog (as well as an awesome card by our guest Lynn Put). Also make sure you check out my stamping friends Amy R, Carole, and Susan for more amazing projects using this sketch. If you upload to SCS, remember to use the keyword SFYTT so we can all see your eye candy.

SPEAKING of candy...I bet you all wanna know who won the Elzybells sheep set, huh? First of all, thank you for all the kind words of encouragement and congratulations. You rock my world!! The winner of the Sheep Celebrations 2 set is...

Outlaw Cowgirl WSC24

I have had fun this weekend! This card was inspired by my day on Saturday, which I spent at the Cedar Hill Saddle Club with my boys, who rode in 2 events. They even got some ribbons!!

I got this stamp from Stamp Asylum in Plano, and it's made by Mrs. O'Leary's Art Stamps. I ordered it a while back, and it just came in...yay!! So cute. It was perfect for Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge...slowly and surely I'm catching up on the challenges! Tomorrow I hope to do the Featured Stamper challenge (found here) cause my friend Carole is the Featured Stamper!! She's also going to be on Who Wants to be a Millionaire this week....don't miss it!!

I'm all about simple cards this week, can you tell? I've been working on some design team stuff since my stamps came from Gina K and Verve on Friday, so I'm a busy, busy bee! I'll be able to show you soon, I promise!

Hope you have a great week...see ya tomorrow!

I'm the Boss Lady

Ok, not really, but I am in love. With this stamp. Seriously. There are a couple more that I need, and I have forgotten the company but I think it's Mrs. O'Leary's or something like that. They were having a trunk show at Stamp Asylum in Plano, and I was right there, so I HAD to stop, right?!

ETA: I have located Mrs. O'Leary's website, although I cannot find the stamps there that I saw at the trunk show. If you want to order them, I'd suggest shooting her an email. Happy Shopping!

I couldn't wait to ink this one up...she was just sooo cool. I stamped her in Palette Hybrid Noir on Papertrey White Cardstock, and then colored her with Prismacolors & Odorless Mineral Spirits. I matted her on Basic Black cardstock and did some white stitching around the edges.

I was actually attempting to do Beate's weekend sketch for this card, but it just didn't work out that way. I used my favorite cowgirl color combo, Real Red, Creamy Caramel, & Barely Banana, with a little black thrown in. I stamped the Caramel strip with my Paisley BG stamp in Close to Cocoa Ink, matted on Real red, and then sponged the edges with Cocoa & Chocolate Chip ink. I found this bandana print paper (no idea who makes it but I got it at Michael's forever ago), and stitched the red/caramel strip onto it. The gingham ribbon added some more cowgirl vibes.

I used the ticket corner punch to make a little cutout for the silver brads, layered onto Basic Black cardstock, and then adhered to my Banana Card base. The main image is popped up on UBER pop dots (the big mommas), which I love.

Hope you've enjoyed my little piece of Texas...have a great night!
