Bananas about You!

I love it so much when a card just comes together! It doesn't happen very often for me...usually I labor over my cards, but this one was one of those fun easy stamping sessions that really makes you wanna keep going! And you know what? As soon as I make this post I'm gonna go right back up there and hope that the mojo is still flowing!

Today's Inspiration Challenge is what got me going...I saw this funky monkey plate at Hunky Dory Home and decided I had to use my Changito sets (the monkey and dos) from i {heart} papers. I used burnt umber Palette Ink to stamp my images and sentiment, then colored everything with prismas and baby oil. I love the highlights and shadows that result. The striped DP is Puppy Tails from SEI, and the gorgeous faux suede ribbon is by May Arts.

The sketch that I used for my card is Monday's Mojo Sketch #72. This card also qualifies for Cinema Saturday's Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Challenge to use a bit of red in your card. I put only a few little splashes of red here and there because the designer paper had a very narrow red stripe. I (for once!) am very pleased with how this card came out...I think it might even work as a Valentine!

    This would make a fabulous Valentine! Love those little monkeys, and the medallion with the little bananas is soooooo fun!!! Love it!!
