Update

You may be wondering what has been keeping me from updating my blog... here is a smigen of what has been going on with us. I broke down and decided I just need to get on here and post when on Friday of last week BOTH David and Joey learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels on the same day!! ***Note, this is how much I have written and now David is begging me to play on the computer since I am on. (This is why I don't post more often)***Joe played organized basketball for the first time in his life at the first of the year. He LOVED it to say the least. On our drives to and from basketball he would say "thanks mom" randomly because he was so excited to play basketball. Here is a good shot of him going for some air with his jump shot. :)Ahh... probably the single biggest reason I haven't kept up blogging is because my biggest helper was unable to help for about a month because she broke her ankle while at her cousin's house for an ice storm we fled from. She slipped on the wet grass in their backyard and fell directly on her ankle. It was a salter-harris fracture which means she fractured her growth plate. We are thankful she healed well and is back on two feet. This is David posing for a picture he begged me to take. He actually had the idea all himself. He found the pose and said, "MOM, get your camera!!" So here it is. The next couple of pictures are from the Houston Rodeo we went to with the Bradys over spring break. It was a ton of fun. Nothing like waiting in line to sit in a huge John Deere tractor. Every 4 year old boys dream! You could guess that David wanted no help getting up and down from the biggest wheel he has ever touched.
David could have stayed forever in the petting zoo part of the rodeo. He just loves animals and it reminded me of when we actually had our own goat and he really had a special bond with it. David and Andrew were the right size to try "mutton-busting" which is a technical term for stick the crying child on the sheep, open the gate, kick the sheep and watch to see how long your child can hold on before getting bucked off" And there is a prize of a belt buckle for the child who stays on the longest. Why would we miss that opportunity? After getting bucked off, David was spitting dirt and crying but everyone was clapping. By the time the competition was over, he was VERY proud of himself and said he had a great time. He had some strange rash for the next two weeks, and I had to worry it was from the sheep and hope it would go away. Nothing like random rashes after encouraging your child to try something crazy and new. (its gone now)I have not been good at taking enough pictures lately, but of the ones I have, here is Easter 2010! You can see Gracie had chocolate for probably breakfast and lunch that day, but I did cut the chocolate consumption off for dinner time. This is my friend Tammy's baby Lilly. She came to visit us this weekend and she loved Hannah! (0f course) They came to church with us and we think she said "Hannah" during sacrament meeting.:) Well, it was fast and testimony meeting this last sunday and I had my camera to take a picture of one of my young women (did I tell you I am now YW president??) anyway, David found my camera while I was up bearing testimony and took a picture of me. There was no one there to tell him he couldn't. It did throw me off a little bit with the flash, but luckily the look I gave him was enough to keep him to only one... After the fact, I thought it was hilarious so I am posting the picture by David. You can see Derrick holding Gracie for me next to me... And we will end with the bike riders. This is by far the kids favorite thing to do is ride scooters and bikes around the neighborhood. This is what childhood is all about right? Stay tuned for Brianna's wedding, baseball and summertime...
