BG DT: Be Charming

Today is a great day in the Netherlands, we call it Koninginnedag (Queensday).
But this year I won't be part of the celebrations because my sisters (Leonie and Berniek) and I are going to London!!
I've been looking forward to this trip for a long time and finally it is here!
So right after Will and Kate are done celebrating and hopefully London has come back to its senses we are going to do lots of sightseeing, shopping and of course catch a musical.

But before I leave let me tell you about our new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges

So we want to see a charm on your creation.


I used Marjolaine paper pad for this card. Somehow the picture is not really focussed and also the blue is more grey-blue in reality.

Sugar

Ik ben bezig met een complete verbouwing van mijn nieuwe huis en dat is toch iets meer werk dan ik van te voren had verwacht. Ik heb al mijn knutsel spullen al naar Leonie gebracht (en die vindt twee keer zoveel spullen helemaaaaaal niet erg) maar daardoor is het wel nog moeilijker om een kaart te maken. Gelukkig heeft ze ook twee nieuwe tafels gekocht voor haar knutselkamer dus genoeg ruimte om samen te werken!
De sketch die ik gebruikt heb is van The Sugar Bowl. De extra uitdaging is om zelfgemaakte bloemen te gebruiken, ik heb die van mij met de pons gemaakt. Je kunt nu echt prachtige herfst stempels winnen.... Het lint is een rare kleur op de foto maar in het echt past het er wel bij.


I'm in the middle of renovating my new home and it is taking a little more effort and time than I expected. Since I have all my craft stuff moved over to Leonie (yes she is happy with twice the amount of craft suplies...) my chances of making a card are getting harder. But Leonie also bought two new tables so now there is more than enough room for us to make cards in her craftroom!
The sketch is from The Sugar Bowl. The extra challenge is to make your own flowers. For that I used my flower punch. This time you can win the most amazing new fall stamps.... I used the Score Board to make a score in the flower leaves so they would pop up a little. The ribbon turned out a different colour in the picture, it fits better in real life...

Sugar

Omdat het een vrije dag is, hebben Leonie en ik besloten dat het tijd was om weer eens een stempeldag te houden. Ik heb dus al mijn spullen gepakt, nouja niet alles, en naar haar huis gereden. Ik vond dat het wel weer eens tijd werd om een Sugar Nellie stempel te gebruiken. Ik heb daar niet veel van en Leonie wel. De sketch is van The Sugar Bowl en je moet parels gebruiken als je wilt winnen.


Since we have a day off, Leonie and I decided it was time for another stamp day! So I packed all my stuff (well not everything that wouldn't fit the table LOL) and drove to her house. I thought it was time for a Sugar Nellie challenge again. I don't have a lot of SN stamps, but Leonie does. The sketch is the challenge at The Sugar Bowl and you need to use pearls if you want to win.

Maar EEN stuk design papier mag je gebruiken bij de challenge van The Sugar Bowl. Ik moet toegeven dat ik dat een moeilijke uitdaging vind. Maar ik ben best tevreden met het resultaat. Ik heb weer Twinkling H2Os gebruikt. Ik ben nog aan het leren hoe het moet maar ik vind het wel leuk hoe het eruit komt te zien.


Only ONE piece of patterned design paper is the challenge at The Sugar Bowl. That's a pretty difficult challenge for me. But I must say I'm quite satisfied with the result. Again I used Twinkling H2Os. I'm still learning but I like the way it turns out.

Three

Het valt niet mee om een kaart te maken wanneer je snip verkouden bent, maar het is gelukt! De sketch die ik gebruikt heb is van Friday Sketchers, het was een erg leuke sketch om mee te werken!
De uitdaging van The Sugar Bowl is om drie DP en drie embellishments te gebruiken. Het papier dat ik gebruikt heb is van BG van de Urban Prairie lijn. De brad komt van dezelfde lijn, verder heb ik een bloem en lint gebruikt.


Trying to make a card when you're having a bad cold is not easy! But I managed it.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers to make this card. I really loved the sketch!
The challenge on The Sugar Bowl is to use three DP and three embellishments! I used three BG papers all from the Urban Prairie line. The brad is also from the same line. I used a flower and ribbon.

PS: I was under the impression that the stamp I used is a Sugar Nellie. I guess I am wrong.

Child

Ik heb het erg druk de laatste tijd en ik heb al een tijd geen internet dus het bloggen ging even niet. Ik ben dus nu even bij m'n zus.
De worshops op school gaan trouwens geweldig. 40 meiden hebben zich opgegeven.Ze zijn zo enthousiast! Binnenkort zal ik wat foto's plubliceren.
Deze kaart heb ik als voorbeeldkaart gemaakt. En het past precies bij de challenge van a Spoon full of Sugar!


Have I been busy lately! Internet is not working at my house so I was not able to blog a lot. (I'm at my sister's house now.
By the way the workshops at school are doing very well! 40 girls applied for it. So I split them up in 2 groups. I had 2 workshops already and it was just crazy! They were very enthousiastic. I'll post some pics soon.
This card is a card I made for the workshop it fits the challenge at a Spoon full of Sugar perfectly!

Purple

Nog een kaart gemaakt tijdens onze zussen stempel week LOL! Ik heb alleen cardstock gebruikt voor deze kaart en dat is ook de uitdaging bij Dutch Dare deze week. Voor de sketch heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de Sketch Saturday.


Another card made during our sister stamp week LOL! I only used cardstock which is the challenge at Dutch Dare this week. For the sketch I used the one at Sketch Saturday.

Deze week zijn we dus lekker aan het stempelen met z'n allen. We zijn bij Leonie want die heeft een nieuwe mega grote tafel. Het weer is er in ieder geval ook naar om lekker binnen te zitten!










This week we are stamping along! We are at Leonie's place because she just bought a mega big table! And if I look outside I only see more reason to stay inside!

new camera

Leonie heeft een hele leuke kaart van Deb gekregen voor haar verjaardag. Ik vond de sketch erg leuk dus heb ik een soortgelijk kaartje gemaakt. Ik heb de foto gemaakt met mijn nieuwe camera. Ik heb deze camera gekocht zodat ik niet steeds naar Leonie hoef om een foto te laten maken. Ze zal vast blij zijn! ;)
Maar ik heb deze camera vooral gekocht voor onze vakantie. Donderdag gaan Leonie en ik naar de Verenigde Staten!
We hebben een blog gemaakt voor familie en vrienden, zodat ze ons kunnen volgen: USA trip 2008. We hebben nu nog 3 dagen om alles te regelen, ik word wel een beetje kriebelig nu... Als iemand nog een suggestie heeft wat ik beslist moet kopen in de US (op hobby gebied) en waar ik dat moet kopen vertel het me dan graag!



Leonie received a very nice card from Deb on her birthday. I liked the sketch so I made a card inspired by it.
I made a photo with my new camera. I got his camera so I can take my own pictures from the cards instead of going to Leonie. She'll be happy!
But I also got this camera for our vacation! Thursday Leonie and I will be on a plane to the USA!
We also made a blog for our family and friends so they can follow our trip: USA trip 2008. We have only 3 days left for preperation... I'm kinda getting nervous. If any of you have any suggestions about what (craft supplies) and where to buy them in the States, please tell me!

Baby cards

Er zijn een paar baby's op komst dus ben ik maar baby kaartjes gaan maken.

Voor de roze kaart ben ik geinspireerd door Lily Bean Paperie, Melissa maakt de meest geweldige kaarten dus bekijk haar blog eens. Ik stuur deze kaart in voor de Cute Card Thursday challenge. Je moet namelijk gebruik maken van patterned paper. Nou dat zit wel op deze kaart. Ik heb wel een paar stempels gebruikt en inkt om te distressen, maar dat was het dan wel.

Voor de blauwe kaart heb ik de sketch van Friday Sketchers gebruikt. Dus nu is het afwachten wat het gaat worden: jongens of meisjes.



There are a couple of births coming up so I decided to do some baby cards.

For the pink on I got inspired by Lily Bean Paperie, Melissa makes the most wonderful cards so do check out her blog. I am entering this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge. You have to use patterned paper. Well the patterned paper is the most significant thing in this card. I did use some stamps and ink to distress but that is it.

For the blue on I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. So now just wait and see what it is going to be: boys or girls.

Ismaki #14

Ik moet toegeven dat toen ik de sketch de eerste keer zag ik niet gelijk dacht van: Laat ik daar eens een mooie kaart van maken! Maar als je de andere voorbeelden ziet dan krijg je toch weer inspiratie. Dus uiteindelijk heb ik mijn papier, stempels en dergelijke bij elkaar gepakt en ben aan het werk gegaan! LOL
Welke sketch bedoel ik? Die van Ismaki en daar staan de meest geweldige sketches op!



Ok I must admit when I first saw the sketch I wasn't sure I was able to make a card with that. So I took some time to think it over. And finaly took my paper and stamps and embellishements and got to work! LOL
What is the sketch? Well it is from Ismaki and they have the best sketches!

Ismaki #13

Deze week gaat een collega van mij trouwen, dus wilde ik een leuke kaart maken. Op Ismaki staat een hele leuke sketch en die wilde ik graag gebruiken. Het is niet een traditionele trouwkaart geworden en ik hoop dat ze hem leuk vinden.



This week a colleague is getting married so I wanted to make a nice card. There is a great sketch on the Ismaki site and I really wanted to make a card with that so I used it for this card. it is not a traditional wedding card and I hope they will like it.

Pink

Ik heb laatst mijn eerste Sugar Nellie gekregen van Leonie en ik vind haar echt geweldig! Ik vind het ook ontzettend leuk om mee te doen met een challenge. Hierdoor word ik toch meer uitgedaagt om iets creatiefs neer te zetten.
Ik heb Sweet Sugar Challenges gevonden. Zij hebben een challenge waar je een Sugar Nellie moet gebruiken. Deze keer moest je zwart, wit en roze als kleurenschema gebruiken. Dus ik zoeken tussen mijn papier en embelishments en dit is het geworden!



I recently got my first Sugar Nellie from Leonie. I really love it! I also love to enter challenges, because it helps me in my creative process ;)
Well I found Sweet Sugar Challenges. They have a challenge and you have to use a Sugar Nellie.
This weeks challenge is: Use the colour scheme black, white and pink. Well that’s interesting so I started to put some paper together and some embellishments and this is what I came up with.

My first Sugar Nellie

Dit is de tweede kaart die ik gisteravond gemaakt heb. Ik heb van Leonie een Sugar Nellie gekregen! Ik vind haar echt schattig en moest natuurlijk een kaart maken.
De kaart is van damastpapier dat ik laatst heb gekocht. Lekker luxe papier!



This is the second card I made yesterday evening.
I got this Sugar Nellie as a gift from Leonie. I really love it!
Well I had to make a card with it immediately of course. And this is the result. I recently bought luxurious paper and made the card with it.
