Love - Hate Relationship; but a HAPPY birthday card!!

Oh goodness, who else has a love/hate relationship with their computer? HA - I typically love computers, love technology, but my gallbladder has disowned me and I think my computer is next.
Smiley from Millan.Net

This is our very last challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity; I have so enjoyed Michele's challenges! But no worries, she still has her store with lots of great treasures!

I am unable to get Photoshop to work on my computer...at the moment, so we're just going to 'roll with it'.

I absolutely adore orange, black, and purple for ANY occasion, not just Halloween! I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #293 (SSSC293) for the layout adding a watercolor panel splattered with Mister Huey's Opaque White mist. The cupcake is from Verve Visual's Carpe Cupcake and was stamped on designer paper; the 'frosting' (top) being stamped twice for lots of fun dimension. I curved the sentiment and stamped it around the cupcake finishing it off with some MFT Blueprint hearts covered in clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents. The cupcake top was also coated in glossy accents. The inside has more designer paper and a fun sentiment from Mama Elephant's Birthday Wishes set.

Crafts 4 Eternity - Halloween

It's almost here - HALLOWEEN! Are you dressing up? Do you have little ones that will be dressing up? Doing anything unique or special - TELL ME!! I don't think we have any plans, all our babes are much too old to dress up, so not sure what our Halloween day will hold! Whatever you do - make it a memorable one!!
Smiley from Millan.Net
This week at Crafts for Eternity, that's what we are celebrating - HALLOWEEN! One lucky participant will win 3 free images from Di's Digital Downloads, so we hope you will take some time to play along.

Remember THIS post last week? I'm using another fun digital image from Bugaboo Digi stamps - I love this pumpkin, just makes me giggle! I made another little 3D treat; a bag filled with Laffy Taffy and a decorative tag where the message can be written on the back.

The tag is Memory Box's Distress Tag; this time I stamped the matching stamp in MFT's Steel Grey with some of it wiped off randomly. I layered on a strip of DP, added some washi tape, enamel dots, glossy accents over the eyes, lots of colorful twine, and a tiny little clothespin to attach the tag to the bag. The polka dots on the clothespin are white, but I tinted them purple with a Copic.

Hope the recipient enjoys their little treat; meanwhile I hope YOU have a great weekend; thanks for stopping by; be sure to check out what the other designers have made - you won't be disappointed!

Hugs,

Crafts 4 Eternity - Fruit and Vegetables

Hi friends! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we are celebrating with Fruits and Vegetables - any project featuring either/or!

One lucky participate will win two images from The Stamping Boutique! And this is your fair warning that the next 3 weeks will find Halloween colors/themes on my blog each Friday - HA, you've been warned!
Smiley from Millan.Net

This week I'm featuring this adorable pumpkin from Bugaboo Stamps because PUMPKINS are a fruit!! Did you think they were a vegetable? I did!
Smiley from Millan.Net

Anywho, that pumpkin might be fruit but those M and M's are neither a fruit or vegetable - HA! I used this adorable frosted pillow box from Reverse Confetti, poured in as many peanut butter M and M's as possible and tied it closed with twine. I added this adorable and simple tag; the message can be written on the back. Sweet treats for Halloween - YUM!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT WEEKEND.

PS - this was my first time to stamp/color in 3 weeks - sometimes life throws curve balls truly bigger than one person can handle...that sums my life up very well! But I'm back in the game and it feels so good - good for my soul!

Take care!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Handwriting (is this cheating?)

Hi friends - how are you? Hope your week is off to a great start...mine is off to a very interesting start...and it's already HUMP DAY!!
Smiley from Millan.Net

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity we want to see projects which feature handwriting...well, MY handwriting will never be made into a stamp (HA) but Dawn's was and I love it - so pretty and the perfect addition to this card.

One lucky participant will win 4 free images from Sassy Studio Designs; hope you will join us!

I CASE(d) another card; this one from Lindsay (HERE), isn't her card delightful? I was so drawn to the yellow; I seldom use yellow and I loved her shading...so then commenced my card which is almost identical!

I used MFT's Rose Overlay dies cutting the base flower from PTI Lemon Tart and shading with Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Lemon Drop and Hero Hues Unicorn. The leaves were cut from New Leaf and sponged with Twisted Citron. I sponged Sno Cone at the bottom of the main panel and stamped the sentiment in Archival black. Love Lindsay's inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by; hope you can join us this week with your 'handwriting' project!

Crafts 4 Eternity + MFTWSC244

Hi friends - happy Friday; ready for the weekend? We are!!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see projects related to children; one lucky participate will win 3 digital images from Michele's shop, C4E! And be sure to stop by the blog and see if you were one of last week's lucky winner!

I used MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge to jump start my mojo; you can see the sketch HERE or down below. I used MFT's Pure Innocence Cute-a-tude image, a la modes Time to Celebrate sentiment combined with the balloon from WPlus9's Unforgettable set. I die cute the balloon and added the string by hand tied to her wrist. I did some no line coloring with Copics, added some shimmer to her flower - all little girls need some sparkle, right?! The banner flag is tacked down on either end with a little wave in the middle. I cut the same focal piece tag out of vellum and additional designer paper, added some washi tape and sewing to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a GREAT weekend. Take care, see you again soon!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Weather

Hi friends - happy Friday!! Sorry I'm a bit late posting this...anyone ever 'struggle' with creating? Man, talk about frustrating - I have two projects on my desk and BOTH have me super frustrated...this is one of them. HA! More on that in a moment...

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see your project with a theme or element related to weather! One lucky participant will win a $12 voucher to Di's Digi Designs. Also, be sure to stop by the blog to see if you were a winner from last week!

OK, so on to my little project...my tag is completely CASE(d) from Kay Miller; her work rocks! But let me tell you - I think I watercolored 4 umbrellas - seriously...you should peek in my trash can.

Smiley from Millan.Net

UGH...learned a lot but that was rather painful! Just like Kay, I kept it super simple and layered the colorful tag on a white top folding card with some embossed score lines towards the bottom. A truly CAS card that was anything but easy - HA HA!!

The umbrella was die cut twice and layered with some craft foam. I LOVE those white lines, I used The Crafters Workshop Mini Mod Spirals stencil and traced some of the lines with a white gel pen. Super simple but gives it such a cool look IMHO.

You can see the embossed lines from this angle. :D

Love that funky design using the Mini Mod Spirals stencil

Thanks for popping in; hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Summer Theme

Hi there - happy Friday! Welcome back to another challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity! This week we want to see projects with a summer theme; one lucky participant will win 2 images from Stamping Boutique.

Summer always makes me think of flowers and gardening; we had some beautiful pink and yellow flowers in our flower bed this summer...uh no, I don't know what kind; half our flowers were planted by our neighbor. HA - true story!

I made these watercolor cards quite some time ago inspired by Jennifer McGuire and the pink ones remind me somewhat of those in our flower bed. I created the background by smooshing some distress colors from my craft sheet onto the watercolor paper and then spraying with additional water - such a fun technique, then colored the flowers with distress markers. I added some shading/veins to the center of the flowers, also with a distress marker. I will say the paper warped quite a bit; I did buy some different paper to try so we'll see how it goes next time. I really like the look of masking off the edges allowing the watercolor flowers to shine through.

Thanks for stopping by; hope you take some time to join the fun!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Arrows

Happy, happy Friday friends - hope you are ready for the weekend, it's almost here!

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see projects with arrows - at least one arrow! One random participant will win 4 images from Sassy Studio Designs, so take some time and join the fun!

I chose to play with Phrase Play #3 from Papertreyink, I love this die cut, so many options! I used distress markers to watercolor a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper then die cut the entire piece; I then die cut the hello, arrow and main rectangle panel from black card stock 3 times to stack it up for some fun dimension. I stamped the sentiment "I miss you" on the rectangle panel, then added 2 coats of clear Wink of Stella to each piece and a layer of glossy accents to the word 'hello' and the arrow.

The layout stemmed from Alice's card which you can see HERE. Lots of layering, some flowers from MFT's blueprints #5, an enamel dot, some twine and washi tape finish it off!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes

Hi friends! It's the challenge EVERYONE loves - Anything Goes over at Crafts for Eternity! I have lots of cards I haven't shared but I really like this one - an image in which I tried my hand at no line water coloring made into a sweet little birthday card!

Up for grabs are 3 downloads from Stamping All Day, hope you will take some time and join the fun!

I used this adorable image, la soiree, from Penny Black and Inktense Pencils; this was my second attempt at no line coloring and I like this one a lot more; but man oh man - have you seen Alice Wertz's no line coloring? That chick is 'DA BOMB - check her out!

I added some clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the balloons, a shiny piece of silver card stock finishes it off. Thanks for stopping in; hope you'll join the fun this week!

Crafts 4 Eternity - Music

Hi friends - happy Friday! How was your week? Ours has been C-R-A-Z-Y...in 3 days (Monday - Wednesday), I had traveled 1600 miles with ZERO travel on Tuesday. GULP; crazy; I'll add another 150-200 miles to that on Friday. Lots of fun stuff, hope to share some of it soon! You can see a sneak peak of some of the fun on my Instagram feed! :D

This week at Crafts 4 Eternity, we want to see your projects featuring MUSIC; doesn't everybody love some good music? One lucky participant will win 3 free digital images from Michele at Crafts 4 Eternity!

I have had this stamp from Inkadinkado for ages and LOVE it so much! As I was working on a totally unrelated project, I saw the paper pad I was using included sheet music - seriously, doesn't get much easier than that. Super easy card, lots of distressing with both ink and a tool; a strip of vellum, a button, and some music washi tape on the inside finishes it off.

The layout was last week's MFTWSC237 (see below). A fun, skewed sketch; love sketches too!

Thanks for popping by; hope you have a great weekend! Our oldest has oral surgery this morning, then I'm picking up our middle one later in the day, she's been shadowing a neurosurgeon for 2 days (yes, she was IN the operating room with him); lots of good stories there too.

Take care!!
