HOE Exchanges

Phew, after a journey that took over 2 weeks, my parcel for Stephanie finally arrived. And I received beautiful ornaments from Carol and Stephanie. 😊 Carol (Garden of Stitches) stitched a Redwork Santa by Prairie Schooler. I love him - isn't he finished perfectly? I plan on stitching many more for our tree. Incidentally, I have only just discovered that Prairie School has ceased trading. How did I miss this announcement? I rarely stitch anything by Prairie Schooler, but I have a few on my wish-list that I would really love to stitch. I will be scouring eBay later to see if I can purchase them before they become hard to find and super expensive.

Stephanie (Blue Star Stitcher) stitched part of a Winter Sampler by Janlynn. I love all of the attention to detail. The tiny beads around the edge are adorable. It must have taken hours and hours.

My ornament for Stephanie is one that I have stitched before (again, for an exchange!) It is Fa La La by Shepherd's Bush. This time, I stitched 1 over 2 and really like the effect.

I will be back soon with my christmas ornament for April!

until next time,

  3. Beautiful exchanges! I just love your Fa La La ornie! Be careful buying those PS Charts. The copyrights for PS Charts have been bought by Hoffman Distributing so some are available at normal costs. Some folks sell the charts are crazy prices thinking that they are still OOP. Not all are back in print yet tho.

  11. So glad to read your exchange finally arrived, Christina! Both gifts you received were lovely. And yes, no more PS designs :( I was so sad, but the good news is that many of the old (sought after) designs are now being reprinted (although I heard the quality was poor).

Your scissor fob is beautiful as is the little sheep ornament--lucky Stephanie!

    Happy April to you :)
