Christmas Eve & Christmas 2016
On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house for our annual Christmas Eve dinner and program. Stacey and her family were also there. Haylee played and sang Silent Night on her guitar for us. I love hearing her play her guitar, especially when she was singing about baby Jesus on Christmas eve. Gave me goose bumps. Then Hunter walked in as Santa. He called us all up one by one and made us sit on his lap. He asked us all what we wanted for Christmas, let us know if we were on the naughty or nice list and sent us on our way with a candy cane. Hunter has a wonderful gift of making others around him happy. He had us all cracking up. He can make anybody laugh.
Christmas Eve at 1 am Hunter came down with a terrible stomach flu (after we had all sat on his lap a few hours earlier). He had a fever of 105 and was throwing up. I was up with him all night long. After a priesthood blessing he finally fell asleep at 8 am. Then Haylee came bouding in to announce to us all it was Christmas morning. Poor thing, she was so excited while the rest of us could barely hold our eyes open. I carried Hunter downstairs to see if santa came. He managed to sit on his new bike and then went right back to bed for the rest of the day.
Hunter woke up in the late afternoon and wanted to come downstairs. He still didn't have energy to open presents but he laid down on the family room floor just staring at his unopened presents. Poor thing, it was really so sad. My parents and I went to curch and then we came home and had a delicious Christmas Dinner with everybody, the Cahills, my parents, and my grandpa. We had a wonderful Christmas season celebrating our Savior.
